  1. Has anyone figured out if this works for the new BS? I have my install path as D:\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50, but no matter where I point it...it does not find what it needs. I have even tried to point it to the D:\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\bin\x86\stable folder but nothing is working. It just keeps asking for the BS Directory, and of course nothing works. :helpsmilie: Any help would be much appreciated, even if its just a confirmation that it doesn't work so I can put this behind me. I would really to have the affinity and Skin loading feature though so hoping there is a way! Thanks!
  2. Here is the original file for anyone that needs it. Only reason you should have to replace it I think, is if you over-wrote it. In the process of getting TIR to work, I tried a fix out there that replaced this file. That fix didn't work, but luckily I backed up the file. I had to rar it in order to upload it to the site. Just drop it in the Ka-50/bin/stable directory. Now back to getting everything setup to fly lol :joystick::pilotfly: NewInput.rar
  3. Did software version, and game list update. Also did an R&R, only thing that fixed it wad replacing newinput.dll w/ original
  4. This did -not- work for me, I re-installed TIR several times, and did the update. As soon as i replaced the .dll file it worked. I am at work so i will post the input file in a few hours for anyone needing it.
  5. Ok, I got it working. I was about to un-install BS and TIR, then remembered during all this I replaced a file called newinput.dll, as it got it working for someone. I restored my backup file, ran BS, and TIR is now working!! Can't live without TIR and flying :pilotfly::thumbup:
  6. It is, and BS is on Flight also. The blue light is coming on, so it's being initiated. I have even tried hitting the F8 and F9 key hoping it would kick it alive, but so far I cannot get any TIR movement in BS.
  7. I am running WinXP sp2, TIR3 with VE, with the 4.1.0.36 software, with the updated game list so it shows BS. But I have yet to get TIR actually working in BS yet. When I launch BS, the blue light comes on, everything is good, I get in the cockpit, blue light still on, but no TIR. I have even tried un-installing the software, reinstalling, rebooting the PC, but nothing has worked yet. This is the first time I couldn't get TIR working in a game. When I view tracking inside the TIR software, it shows proper head movement etc. And it shows TIR in the Controls menu (inside BS where it shows axis). Is there a special view I should be in, or a key I have to hit inside BS to make it work? Any help would be appreciated, I'm dying to get it working. Thx! -Chris
  8. Just wanted to mention if your going to buy a hat, buy the one that has an "open" top. Some people call them tennis hats? Anyways, a closed Hat is way too hot in the summer, and will get annoying, I speak from experience. Your going to look goofy with this thing on your head anyways, so go all out
  9. Well, while we're on that topic: -I would also like to see an option to start parked, wings up engines off on the carrier. -I would like to be able to up the ramps without it warping me to position 1. -I would also like the ability to disable the carrier's AA capabilities if wanted. -I would like to be able to pick maybe what "pad" I start from, so when designing a mission for online, we don't all start ontop of one-another :D All I can think of for now :joystick:
  10. Yeah, I just went from 1gb to 2gb, and noticed a huge difference. Especially if you use TrackIR. When I used to load and hit the cockpit, it would stutter for 10-15 seconds until I had looked all around the cockpit. Now, instantly all is smooth. And like NeoDark said, when you quit LOMAC, there is no waiting for LOMAC to clear the ram before you can do something else with the PC. It is instant. I can also Alt-Tab out of the game with a MAJOR improvement. Pc hardly even struggles now, before I kept thinking LOMAC was going to crash because it took so long to hit the desktop when alt-tabbing. It was worth every penny, and I wish I had done it sooner. 2 cents!
  11. For me that would take some realism away from the sim. Real pilots have to turn on radar, turn on engines, turn on lights for wings, for taxiing, etc. They don't get in and just push 1 button and all is rdy :megalol: For all my missions, I have to start on the ground, start engines, etc. Just helps with the simulation of it in my opinion; but to each his own :pilotfly: Now macro's for airbrake when going full throttle, etc... that is smart to me. I've driven around numerous times going wtf why is my speed so low :joystick:
  12. You'd almost think with as much time as they are putting into the modeling of things we'll never really be looking at, that yes, we should have trees that can't be flown through in a helicopter :music_whistling:
  13. -Neo, I feel the EXACT same way. It's nice, but why not better models of the aircraft already in the game instead of soooo much attention to detail on the treads on the tanks, etc. Yes its cool, but I think there could be many more areas that could be focused on before we get sooo heavy into modeling we will never really get to appreciate. I might look at a missile that close for 1 minute in 100 hours that I play the game. I see aircraft, carriers, etc much much more. This sim still rocks, don't get me wrong. Just some constructive criticism like others :pilotfly:
  14. Well, tried this last night (doing the .sav), and it did work. Problem is though, you can't record your mission to watch or create a replay from when you load a .sav file, only .mis. -So, I renamed the extension from .sav to .mis hoping it would load on ACC to the position I set. Well, it loaded, but put me in Pos1 instead of the place I had saved it at. So the .sav works, but you can't save the replay or watch it later  . And yes, if you hit "carrier takeoff" it still warps you to postion1 too. Anyways, just thought I'd share what I tested. :joystick:
