  1. Yeah, that's the PSU. It's the CPU cooler I can't really tell the specific model, only that it's a Cooler Master one.
  2. Thanks for your replies. My CPU cooler is a Cooler Master model I cant' identify (but I can show it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cism587gupg7vct/20191027_233215.jpg?dl=0) and my PSU is a Corsair 860. I think it can run an overclocked CPU and the GPU, but I would like to hear some opinions from the tech savy...
  3. Hi guys. I wonder if you guys can give me some advice, regarding the need to upgrade my system, for playing DCS in VR. I own a Rift (and I'm eagerly awaiting its next replacement, because the only minus in the VR column for me, is the resolution). CPU Type: QuadCore Intel Core i7-6700, 3700 MHz (37 x 100) Motherboard Name: Asus Maximus VIII Hero (3 PCI-E x1, 3 PCI-E x16, 1 M.2, 4 DDR4 DIMM, Audio, Video, Gigabit LAN) Motherboard Chipset: Intel Sunrise Point Z170, Intel Skylake-S System Memory: 16320 MB (DDR4-2400 DDR4 SDRAM) DIMM3: Kingston HyperX KHX2400C15/16G 16 GB DDR4-2400 DDR4 SDRAM Video Adapter: GeForce RTX 2080 Ti (11 GB) Disk Drive: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB (931 GB) With this hardware I'm getting 25/40 FPS when playing in VR, using the VR config in the game. Given all this, how much more of an improvement would I get if I replaced the processor with an Intel Core i7-9700K? Would it be negligible? I am aware that DCS is very processor intensive, more so than graphics card-intensive, but I would like to hear your opinion about it. Thanks in advance! Piri
  4. Hello all Since I got Oculus Rift, I don't have any use for my Cougar MFD set plus the 2 Lilliput 8" USB monitors I had, to display the A-10's MFD images. It works pretty well with the AV-8 Harrier and/or the F-18. You can see the setup here: Still have the Cougar MFD's original packaging. Would preferably sell them to Europe (less of a hassle with the post office) If interested, please feel free to PM me. Cheers! Piri
  5. This question by 2alpha-down fell through the cracks, so I'm bring it back again, because I'm also interested in the reply.
  6. Yes please, Firecat. Go ahead and add me to the list. Thank you! Piri
  7. A quick question, if I may. I'm really interested in this device, but I would like to confirm where does the PointCrontrol tracker go? Is it on the Oculus itself? And it links with the PC via a USB cable, correct? I ask this because I have my setup facing away from the monitors, - with my back to them, to be precise- so if the tracker needs to be facing me, like TrackIr, I don't have anywhere to place it on. Thank you! Piri
  8. Thanks for the explanation, guys. I will change my order right away. Cheers! Piri
  9. Hi guys, just a quick question, to clear a doubt I (still) have. The WarBRD base will be the new standard going forward, replacing the T-50 base? Or is it a diferent product, more oriented towards desktop use? I'm asking this (after having pre-order it...) because I already have the desk mount and the extensions and am now looking to replace the Warthog base. But now I'm slightly worried about the WarBRD, because of it's compact size, not being able to operate properly, due to the weight of the 15 cm extension. Should I keep the pre-order, or should I opt instead for the Mongoost T-50 base? Any help is very much welcomed! Piri

  11. Guys, Just a quick post to thank Andre for his work and to highlight how great his customer service is. I had the pleasure of doing business with him on two ocasions and he always delivered above and beyhond what he had to. That moto he has under his sig is not advertising. It's a statement of fact. I've just received my Gametrix JetSeat SE, built from what was previously a regular Gametrix JetSeat KW-908 AM. Andre offered to make the upgrade for the price diference and had everything ready on the date he said he would. Not only that, he checked with me about the (slight) delay with my package, after looking up the track number and seeing that it wasn't yet delivered. Cant's ask for more than that, as a customer. Given that the customs' fees involved in getting something from Russia are steep, Andre's atention to his customers goes a long way to reduce that inconvenience (I'm trying hard not to make a butt-pain reference here, but THAT would be a closer description to customs fees in this situation). Of course, good customer care only goes a certain way if you don't have a great product and I got to say, the Gametrix JetSeat SE really is top of the line. Less cumbersome than the regular JetSeat Version, more easily attached to the chair, a great fabric cover and - the reason I had it upgraded - the hole in the middle for the Warthog center mount (in a Viplil desk mount which is also a great product from a company with a great customer support team, if I may add). Great stuff, really. For those of you who might be thinking about it, you should really go for it, if you have the money. Can't recomend it enough! Cheers! Pirimeister
  12. Welcome back Cyph3r! (and a brief message to my sphyncter: you can now relax!) :)
  13. Don't have any doubts about it, we really apreciate your effort, Tane. And thank you for re-engaging with Virpil again. We're just shooting the message, not the messenger. :smilewink:
  14. Well, I guess that's the info we've got to work with, for now. But I must pour some sand on that vaseline, because my order - a desk mount, a set of extensions and a TMW mounting plate base - are all listed as In Stock and yet the order is still in "Confirmed by shopper" status. The payment was confirmed on the 9th, and nothing happend since then... So your information is welcomed, but they still have a lot of explaining to do...
  15. They don't seem to be responding even in their Russian language forums, judging from this question regarding the status of an order: https://virpil.com/en/forum/payments-and-delivery-ru it's becoming really, really hard to find silver-linings in this situation, I can tell you that...
  16. Hi guys. Just a quick post to thank publicly for all the support the guys at Virpil have provided while trying to sort out the payment problems I mentioned a while back on this thread. Keeping in mind that this problem of mine has absolutly nothing to do with Virpil's side, they have been tireless in trying to help me out (whilst I have been tiring...) Just had to put that in public, because it's definetly worth mention, when you get great support from a company. Cheers! Paulo
  17. And the introduction of Paypal as a payment option? I've been trying to pay for and order I placed today, but keep bumping into some technical difficulties regarding CCs.
  18. :) That's seems like applied math to me! :) Now I have a reference point to start going, thank you.
  19. Thanks Necroscope! Those tips are really apreciated, believe me! If it's not too much to ask, allowing 30º of movement inside that U-shaped hole meams more or less how much in cm? Just to get an aproximate idea.
  20. Thank you for your reply. Regarding the black x's for pictures, I'm fighting a losing battle trying to understand how to have them display properly. So far, I only managed to post them as links... I have to admit that I'm not as much gung-ho regarding enduring the pain this causes me, just to keep using this set-up. I had to stop flying for a full week, just to have the pain go away. I guess I just don'y want to admite that I might have spent €100 euros on a chair that I can't really use. and I run the risk of feeling stupid after cutting the chair and having the extended stick still bump into it... grrrr.
  21. Hi all. I’m posting this because I’m having a –literally- painful problem with my joystick stand and my chair and I really could use some help before I make some irreversible mistake. Here’s my situation: I have bought Wheel Stand Pro for Thrustmaster HOTAS WARTHOG Delux V2 and I’m pretty satisfied with it. The structure is rock solid, so much so that I can clearly see how bad a pilot I am. It’s like a gravitational wave detector, only this one, after dropping all the extra interference, detects bad piloting skills. J I have it configured with the joystick in the middle position and here is one part of the problem. You see, I also bought a gaming chair, to fit the JetSeat KW-908 Air, something that my previous chair couldn’t do, due to a low back rest. But the seat of this chair is immense and, due to the joystick stand coming against it, I have to stretch my arm some 7, 8 cm beyond the optimum position to hold the stick, as you can see from the pictures below . And that extra distance is giving me some nasty pain in the right upper arm and shoulder, even during short playing sessions. With the extension, it’s even a bit too high, which accentuates the distance problem. https://www.dropbox.com/home/Public?preview=20170511_204526.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/home/Public?preview=20170511_204714.jpg Now, having lost all hope of finding a curved stand that is compatible with the Warthog and its base*, I’m thinking of buying the VPC joystick stand because, due to my specific circumstances, it’s a royal pain to store the joystick, if I just want to use the PC. If I leave it standing, I’m left too far away from the keyboard. And because it has that 11cm extension, if I want to fold the stand to get it out of my way, I first have to drag the whole structure (which is pretty heavy) towards me from underneath the desk, then fold the stand, then slightly unfasten the small base plate where the joystick base sits, rotate it 90º so that when the stand is in the horizontal storage position, the joystick remains vertical and there’s no stress in the springs, AND THEN push the whole thing back under the desk (uff!), since I have nowhere else to store the whole structure. The VPC joystick stand, on the other hand, has a base that seems to allow to place it vertically on the ground, when not in use. So the plan is to mount the VPC joystick stand with the Warthog in a center position, with an eye towards buying the Moonsoon base later on and using it with the whole 3 extensions set. Even with the single extension I have, the difference it makes when flying helos is almost night and day. And the same goes to WW2 aircraft. So arm pain or not, I’m sticking with a center mounted, extended Warthog. I can’t really fly with the stick on the right side (I’m already “not good” with it in a center position…), especially helos and I couldn’t go back to a un-extended Warthog. I’ve come to conclusion that the best thing to do is to have the chair cut and re-upholstered , to shorten it and get me closer to the joystick. My indecision is if I should go for a single cut, from left to right, which will be cheaper to do and potentially solve me one problem - the right distance to the stick- but also create a new one by preventing me to push the extended stick back (due to the base, if mounted on the VPC stand being lower and the extended stand needing room to move), or if I should make a U-shaped cut, so I could fit the joystick but still have enough space for it to travel back and laterally. I would have to pay to get it done, and the only guy in my town that does it charges €18/h + materials, hence the pricing considerations. So, to sum it up: What’s the best way to adjust a chair to an extended joystick, leaving enough space for the normal movement of that stick while remaining at a proper non-pain-inducing distance. I would really, really appreciate any input. * that would be the Holy Grail for this quest of mine! Does such thing even exist? And if it does, is it at an affordable price? Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and for any suggestions you might have. Cheers! Paulo
  22. I'm sorry if the answer to this problem has already been given, but I just installed Keenboard Builder and everything works fine, except the resizing of the keenboard window. I can place it where I want it, but not resizing it. My plan was to use Chuck's guides in the kneeboard, since the contain lots of helpful info for people starting up with a new aircraft, but they show up distorted, even though I configured it correctly in the Kneeboard Settings window. What can I do to fix it? Thanks in advance!
  23. Can you check your messages? I sent you a PM with the price. Can you confirm it got through?
  24. Hi. I'm located in Portugal. As requested, here are some pictures of the Cougar MFDs and the USB monitors. The black stripe on the right of both monitors is just a rectangular piece of black crafts paper that I taped over the unused part of the screen, to hide the glow of the blue "on" light, for immersion. it's easily removed and doesn't leave any traces.
