  1. This is just a budget pit for the time being. I have plans for a full pit later on, but I'm waiting on the ideal fast mover saying that's where my heart is.
  2. I'm glad to be here and thank you for the responses. I'm not mechanically inclined so tearing apart the joystick would likely be detrimental to it. Though I do like the hacking of the Sidewinder FFB2 with the x52. I appreciate the links as it looks like I was searching for the wrong keywords. The cable tie fix sounds like it might be the next step. Again thank you for the help.
  3. Sorry for the bump. Anyone else have a similar situation with solutions?
  4. Hello everyone, I have been reading all about the forums and saw how easy it was to build a simpit box using TigerSharkBAS' How To: Build a A-10 flight panel controllerpost. I decided to make one of my own. The box is 10"x6"x2" and fits perfectly in between my throttle and joystick; however I use my G13 for the OSB's on both MFCD's and comms (F1-12 keys). The box consists of the Master Arm Panel, the Electrical, and a few of the fuel switches. It's not painted right now, but that's a project for the future saying that the wire soldering was more than I bargained for. The hardware cost was about $100-120 (minus tools) to make. It includes: 12 - Submini SPST 2 - Submini SPDT 5 - SPST 4 - SPDT 1 - Momentary N/O SPST GP-Wiz40 MAX USB board 1/4" MDF Board I also included templates for anyone who would like to use it for themselves.
  5. I've had my X-52 joystick for over four years now and only recently have I had the issue of it sticking on the plastic plate connecting to the base during the miniscule movement as used in AAR. I have tried graphite and PTFE lubricant, but neither have resolved the issue. I was even thinking about going the route of a patroleum based lubricant; but I do not want a temporary fix and only in turn make the issue larger by pitting the plastic than the issue at hand. Any other ideas or remedies would be nice. Thanks.
