Been awhile since I played this mission but if i recall correctly, you can unlock different assets by unloading the troops you rescued at the different areas of the airfield shown in one of the the briefing images.

Just wondering blaze, does it happen with any other profile?

Just open the cockpit doors, and you'll be able to talk to ground crew without having to mess with radio selector... But if for whatever reason you can't or don't want to open the door, select INT for interphone.

I agree. I have Take On Helicopters as well and is nowhere near the quality of DCS Huey/Mi-8. Flight model feels simplified and was never promoted as a sim. It is also no longer being updated by the developers. However the missions are fun and I still play it every now and then, so it depends what you are looking for.

I've had BSOD with X55 by mapping an infinite loop to one of the buttons. Check the mapping you have for the button that gets stuck and make sure you set a release if you use an advanced command that repeats.

What kind of mouse do you have? Does it have some sort of profiling software? If so, you could map scroll wheel up to whatever key combo it is for throttle up and vice versa for throttle down. If not, you could look at autohotkey and try something similar with a script. Looks like JayPee beat me to it =)

wolle any chance you're still working on this? Tried it again tonight after the 1.2.16.37730 update and its still the best huey mission! Noticed a couple of bugs though, might have been introduced over the last few updates: 1. After picking up a pilot and dropping him off at the afb, the pilot counter inside the player huey stays at one. So i could sit at the airfield all day telling the same pilot to offload (he actually never gets out) and it will spawn as many f5s without having to go out and pick up another pilot. 2. After spawning multiple f5s, the mission stopped assigning me missions after i do F10, F2 requesting more missions. I probably broke it after telling the same pilot to hop out about 5 times. 3. I lost ability to alt-tab or even hit escape. Had to force quit to get out of the game. Hope you still work on this mission, it really is great.

Great mission Eight Ball! Myself and a few others managed to clear all the areas and bring back all but one infantry units that were alive back to the ramp. He wouldn't get on... Hint message said we were too far from a pickup zone. And also had issue with one sling in red zone, it wouldn't come up in the all cargos menu for pickup, but otherwise brought all other slings back to ramp. Someone concluded the reason was because the crate had been destroyed. Is that the case? Despite the two issues, we all had A LOT of fun completing this mission. Thanks!

Tried it again, everything went well... enjoyed the diversions from the main flight plan, nice work! Also quite liked that there were alot of other units on the ground and in the air, made the place feel alive. And really enjoyed that landings and pick ups were made to be more challenging than usual. Got any other similar missions in the works? Just one comment that may spoil the mission for others:

Ahh my mistake... i'll try again and let you know if it takes me out to the ocean again. I did fly past Novorossiysk while following the beacon, which was many miles to my east and was not directed towards the inside of the harbour.

Only tried the first version yesterday, the general is hard to please =) Also after dropping him off I couldnt tune into NDB 500, but i did catch on to 550, which seemed to take me way out west to the ocean... was I on the right track? I flew for ages following the signal but never really saw anything that i could pick up the 'package' from. Thanks for the mission!
