  1. Hello, Rel4y. I'm hoping you're in receipt of my email, sent to mtwsims@tutamail.com. I'm also interested in some Thrustmaster Cougar parts, specifically replacements for both the Cougar Ministick/ Slew (RDR Cursor/ Enable) and the Cougar ANT sensor (ANT ELEV).
  2. Thanks. I missed both the grayed-out option, and the thread to solve the problem: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?p=1324482. Works great now.
  3. Did I Even Upgrade to Black Shark 2? While flying I've noticed that the cockpit shadows aren't as dynamic as I've seen them demonstrated in some videos on YouTube. Portions of the 'pit do get darker or lighter.... but I'm not seeing what is demonstrated here: So now I'm wondering if I have even upgraded my copy of Black Shark, purchased through Steam, to Black Shark 2, or did I buy and install an upgrade for Black Shark 2. I bought "DCS: Black Shark 2 Upgrade 1.2.3" when it was $9.99, but as I mentioned earlier, I'm not seeing much in the shadow department and I am wondering if I goofed and bought the wrong product. My graphics settings inlcude: Shadows: High HDR: Normal
  4. Thanks, ENO: That solved it.
  5. I've just recently downloaded and installed DCS World 1.2.3.10201, and I'm able to get into the main menu. But after clicking either a mission in Instant Action or clicking "Fly" in Fast Mission, I get a loading screen, a crash to desktop with a "DCS World has stopped working" window, a re-load of the loading screen, and then one more "DCS World has stopped working" window, after which the sim crashes completely. I have installed DCS World into the same folder in which I have Steam/ Black Shark 1.0, but it is not the "C" drive. I did select to have DirectX 10 and the C++ 2010 Redistributable packages installed as well, to no avail. Also, after repeated uninstalls, I tried installing DCS World into the "C" drive, again resulting in the same crashes. I am running Windows 7 32-bit. Logs are attached. DCS_and_crash_logs.zip
  6. Attached is the track. But I now see in the Rotor RPM Indicator (I was mixing up its name with that of the Rotor RPM warning push-light), that my RPMs were falling below the minimum. @ZaltysZ. You were correct in that I was applying too much collective. Until I was able to just now map my joystick's slider to the collective, I've been having to use either the keyboard or the buttons on my j'stick to manipulate the collective. @Yurgon: Yeah, using the keyboard to manipulate the important controls (collective and cyclic) just doesn't work well enough. Thanks, everyone for your help. rotorRPMtroubles.trk
  7. Rotor Pitch Indicator = Death Hi. I am practicing some basic flying,e.g. level turns, and ascent and descent, but it's in ascents that , as simple as they are, I am finding a lot of trouble, like dying. In flight I nose forward just a bit and I tap (just tap) the Numpad +/ raise collective key and the durned Rotor Pitch Indicator keeps sounding. I tap B to acknowledge it, and then my bird starts wobbling then disintegrates in mid-air. As a novice to helo sims, I am at a loss to even begin researching what I'm doing wrong. That said, I have one theory: I am flying with four B-8V20 pods attached. Could my having ordnance attached be the cause? On something as simple as climbing?
