So I suppose my first order of business after completing the install should be to install the LOMAN/MODMAN utility, correct? If so, I now need some advice on the best tweaks to implement (not illegal or cheating ones for online play). Should I download some of the modded afterburner graphic files, if so, which one? What about the ZZZ sound pack, is this recommended? Finally, what about this alleged FPS tweak 2.0d. Flying all the planes would be fun, as will graphical enhancements, but I'd like some comment from you guys as to whether or not I should install this one. Please advise me on your favorite enhancements.

those shots are looking fantastic. since my native res. is 1366 x 768, what does "interpolate" means as it applies to me running either 1600 x 900 or the 1920 x 1080 res? my intuition is it means some kind of conversion, but the real matter is whether or not it improves the image quality, right? what will interpolating my image do?

well, I am mainly looking for what others have done with a similar setup using an HDTV and also what types of manual GPU-related settings that people are using to make the game look the best. I have little doubts that the game will run fine with most settings on high, what I'm really looking for is information on how to get the most out of this setup, something that a lot of the folks on here know a lot about.

Intel E6400 CPU 2 gigs DDR2 RAM @ 800 mhz ASUS P5B-E mobo Raptor 150 HD 8800 GTX I have been able to play the demo with everything maxed no problem. My main concern is (a) the proper resolution to run this game on an hdtv; and (b) what manual changes via the nvidia driver software I should institute; i.e. AA/filtering, etc.

So my copies of both LOMAC and FC are in the mail, and I should have the game shortly (perhaps 3 years late I know, but just now built a new rig). As you guys are the most knowledgable flightsim fanbase out there, I would love it if you guys could suggest for me the proper settings. I will be running the game on an 8800GTX card via a DVI\HDMI cable into a 32" Westinghouse (1080i/720p) television. Although its native resolution is 1366 (or 1360)x768, for whatever reason, I am able to get higher resolutions (i.e. 1600x900 and one other higher one), and it appears to me that those higher resolutions make the demo look better, although it could be a placebo effect on the eyes. I have been advised that running games higher than 1360x768 is pointless because the display can generate no more pixels, but the higher resolutions do seem to make a difference to me and make the game look better. Some say that running it higher than 1360x768 results in a performance hit with no appreciable benefits, but the higher resolutions definitely make the game look more crisp. Aside from the proper resolution into an HDTV, I am curious as to what modifications, if any, should be made to the .ini file to better play the game on a widescreen. Finally, should I enable special anti-aliasing/antistropic filtering settings for LockOn? Basically, for all of you guys playing the game on an HDTV or running it through an 8800GTX, please advise me as to your settings recommendations! Thank you guys so much!!!

x52 Pro profile editor not working properly.
OsageCowboy replied to OsageCowboy's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
the X-52 Pro has a great feel to it. I'd say it's about 10-15% stiffer than the X52, but as Bogus noted, you can do a washer mod and make it extremely stiff. My main problem with the software is that I can allegedly load profiles into the editor, but even doing that shows nothing. Even when I load a profile, it appears that no commands are loaded and consequently it seems to me that loaded profiles are doing nothing for me. -
The Pro is functioning fine as far as game functionality goes, but it seems to me that my Profile Editor does not work. I can load up profiles and they will sometimes load and show up in the MFD accordingly, but even where they show up on the MFD, it is unclear to me that the profile is actually working. For example, where I load up a profile, I see NOTHING in the editor itself. All the buttons are there without any labels and as far as I can tell, there is nothing actually in the profile that I have allegedly loaded. Other times, I get the straightforward "profile has not been created message" for other x52 profiles, and those profiles do not load. I uninstalled all the software, deleted the .inf files in the INF directory (there were none on my machine), and reinstalled the latest drivers and profile editor off the website. Still, however, it seems as though the Editor is not working correctly. I am particularly puzzled by the profile name showing up on the MFD, but without any actual labeling or coding in the editor. I'd appreciate any assistance.

Hey guys, I've been messing around with the demo for a while in preparation for getting these games in the next few days. I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction for an x52 profile, complete with documentation. I downloaded one from user "The Jedi" but I figured that as you guys are the kings, you would probably have something more thorough devised. Thanks so much!!!!

What a difference a stick makes
OsageCowboy replied to Ironhand's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
can you guys explain in detail how to attach the plastic washer to the base of the handle above the springs? it looks great from the pic, but I'd appreciate some extra input and how to precisely go about getting that done. -

LOMAC proper installation routine....
OsageCowboy replied to OsageCowboy's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
guys, I've already ordered bare LOMAC (i've opted for this way as opposed to dealing with the gold edition), but I am having trouble finding Flaming Cliffs and the Manual in hard form. -
