  1. Amazing! What kit and scale?

Thanks! It's the Eduard Mig-21bis "Around the world" kit in 1/48.

I got the pilot figure from PJ Productions.

For example, the best A10C I can find is the one made by Italeri, but the cockpit comes from the A10A, as it doesn't have the double MFCDs on the dash.

I've bought the Italeri kit in fact, as it's supposed to be one of the better A-10C kits out there (Italeri isn't generally know for best accuracy generally).

Eduard makes a number of photo etched parts that gets the Italeri kit to an A-10C standard:

  2. Thank you for sharing this!

i tried it yesterday but it dosen´t work for me. With the 64mm O-ring in, i can fully move the Stick but it dosen´t center anymore. So the stick stay in it´s position where i left it.

In this Video, you can see the O-Ring:

Is it that one you replased?

Yes, that's the o-ring. That's really strange that is doesn't work for you. You used exactly the part I suggested? It should push the gimbal down tightly, so that almost no movement is possible. It might be that the thickness of the part has changed since I ordered. What may help is to put certain amount of extra spacer under new thick o-ring. Also make sure the upper dome side of the gimbal is completely free of any lubrication.

You'd need a part with 64mm outer diameter so I doubt it will fit properly.

  3. This is such a bizarre aircraft. Overwing pylons, vertically mounted twin engines, ugly as hell.

It's strangely intriguing, but for non-Brits I think it's more of a curiosity than a legendary aircraft. I wouldn't mind seeing it in DCS, but I wouldn't say we "need" it.

The only thing we really "need" is modern eastern aircraft.

  4. What headset are you using?

If it's a Rift, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't have very good performance.

I use a Pimax 5k+ and am pretty satisfied with my performance, and it's like twice as taxing on the hardware.

Reading your description of the problems, it seems like something is wrong.

What do you have your graphics set to?

Are you using a higher pixel density?

Are you using some kind of supersampling in another application?

Have you deleted the metashaders and fxo folders?

Have you set "prefer maximum performance" in the NVidia settings?

  5. I had an awesome hobby store just around the corner from my place where I often stood at the window to marvel at all the models.

I used to do plastic models as a kid and always told myself I should get back into when I have a little more time.

Unfortunately it closed down a few years ago :(

  6. I always thought it IS more popular with the US crowd, because whenever I go online in the evenings (in Europe) there's like 5 players max.

Also, I always have to connect by IP. It almost never comes up in the list. Maybe this is a major factor?

It's a shame, because this is my favourite server.

  7. Whenever I go online to fly a little bit of multiplayer I'm always a little dismayed at the fact that many of the fullest servers are those with red and blue having pretty much exactly the same aircraft, with Hornets fighting Hornets and Flankers fighting Flankers.

    Why is this so popular???

I'd much rather see some more realistic scenarios with western vs eastern aircraft. However, most servers attempting to make the effort seem to be empty.
