There you have an advise. Thanks for asking.

The knights and kings. Totally. What’s your guitar playing like any good? Or just composing at this stage or another?
-
No no no take it as a penis because the bugs couldn’t care less. FC has an open gate to modify textures but first you must kill the lazy and become a guru during these years.
-
Just ignore that bit until further notice.

Have you ever wondered about snake like ILS approaches when flying large jets in FSX? It happens very fast when it comes to intercepting the localiser which doesn’t leave much room for precisely executed gentle turns, having Course Deviation Indicator and VOR/ILS pointer needles as fundamental reference for landing makes it short of precision due to the needles being so close to each other and therefore the correct turn rate is hard to determine. This nice document part 3/3 at 5.5 minute into the video demonstrates an interesting approach turn on the last few moments before landing. Do you know what system they use, (AP/APP), or an indicator of some sort? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=iMicmmlLuw0&feature=related Load to 5.5 minute if you don’t wish to watch the whole thing.

If the x-plane is not a flight simulator then yes.

You didn’t kill those tanks on purpose it was just pure luck. -

Not sure what the bloody hell…

It might not be the answer you are looking for, however: I’d go with this mapping method in the first place. http://lockon.co.uk/index.php?end_pos=545&scr=default&lang=en That would allow you create a number of 4 or 7 LOD models by progressively reducing polygons for each one without going thru the mapping process over and over (animate the parts for one model so to make it look flat above the plane like in that picture that’s your mapping for each LOD model, than copy your original model which will be LOD-00 then hide it, use the duplicate to reduce the poly count on it than use the same animation to map it again above that same plane and that will be your LOD-01, work by the same principal for each LOD I.e. LOD-00 to LOD-07.) Note you can copy the working animation paramiters like flaps, gear etc form enother copy of the working model. To late for that method now I guess, but that‘s the idea. For the reference on how to set up the LODs for the LOM exportation use the included scenes, here. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=26447 Have fun. O and please don’t forget to convert your BMPs into CDDS texture format. Also bear in mind that I don’t have all the skill or knowledge with 3ds max so some of the developers input would be nice once in a while. There was a talk about making developers corner where is that?

Who said it couldn’t? LOD work? or 20k dollars?

Before you go into the animation, it seems that the skinning is somewhat the first development order that could be better for this models complexity. It depends on your mapping strategy of course. At some point in the past I found that some of the animated parts were deforming on my model so than I searched for the solution although it might not be relevant your level of skill however some may find it useful to go true the following sequence as I do before animating. First in the hierarchy I reset the pivots transform scale and rotation > I collapse the modifier stack > I reset the x form> convert to edit mesh. Having any helpers left hidden for the transformation reference. This process can’t be undone so it should be done with duplicate. This isn’t a step by step guide as some one may whish to ask for details in another thread. The reason why I’ve wrote all this is because there is a ways to map and modify the mesh at later stage one of them involves a temporary animation and the other one is a textpoter as an additional tool. The animation and mapping is doable either way. Another wards if you know it that's good, but if you don’t well there you go and let the yoda spirit be with you.

How is it coming along?.. Just kidding ask some one else. If it’s yet to start or begin you’ve done a nice thing 3D wise.

Well that’s awesome.

BS Gold---whats the future of LOFC?
monotwix replied to hitman's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
They’re tones of people that fly the big boys like cargo transport planes in FSX and X Plane, give them a good task and a good plane and the challenging weather and to fly within combat environment they would love it (fighters would suck) and they will fly it. It’s going face to face with other sims for the next decade. And what is the biggest sim that every one knows now? -

Entirely different approach for what it takes to build an aircraft and combat environment, that’s why FC in DCS would be like mixing a dough into a cooked pie (mustard chocolate?). The cooking time is a big issue. The consumption taste is even bigger. -
Jeez Boberro you’ve nailed it. Hitman go easy. On your arm.:D

What is the optimal way to use the R-27ER?
monotwix replied to cobrabase's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
FC managed to bring BVR somewhat closer than 1.02. Tacview as the leaning and analysing tool shows what R-27ER does, and with that idea just sit back and learn, or fire them all and turn 180 degrees. Download the tacview to begin with. In my view the R-27ER does work for some one who does nothing or some one who can do nothing (nowhere to fly from it). -
Were they expecting for the engine to kick in? This one is more about quick getaway:

Well the lorry drivers just do it. And they do a good job.
