Just a follow-up on this. I was getting crashes in a custom mission I created...same API crash but when I took out the infantry I created, it hasnt crashed at all since. I wonder if the infantry has something to do with it???

ahh very cool. thank you! On a side note, why is it listed as DCS black shark and not just DCS? Its very confusing since the shortcut target path .exe doesnt point torwards blackshark.

I wanted to assign the "prefer maximum performance" for my DCS profile only but on the available games list it lists is dcs blackshark.exe however when I look at the target path for the DCS open beta, its target is not this exe listed. Its something different. So my question is, which exe is the target path I need to use so that my video card will run at max speed and not adaptive.

same issue here. Lots of errors for sound and object loading, DXbackend error, etc...Happens randomly. Sometimes on ramp, takeoff, in middle of fight. Everything was good before downloading last update today. log.rar

thanks all I appreciate the feedback. I got it up and running! My only complaint is the slew button is very small. I remapped the slew to the coolie hat and the coolie hat to the mic key . Small change but the small button is very tiny and very quirky to work. Other than that, great setup!!!!

I had the x55 system and returned it. Received my hotas from thrustmaster at work today but won't be home for several hours to test it out. Do I have to reset the profile I made using my x55 to default and then plug and play or do I simply have to plug the stick and throttle in and it will work with dcs right out of box?

it is odd that I get such low performance with a good reg. Does the preload radius really make that much of a difference if I have it set to max? I figured with six gigabytes of RAM on my video card and 16 on my motherboard I can max the radius out no problem..is that were some of my issue lies??

Oh yeah . My frames stay locked at my refresh rate 99 percent of the time. With ai its a slieshow. Static aircraft do it too. On the uh-1 startup procedure training mission I get 60 fps. If I look left down the flight line it drops to 45 instantly. If I look straight back or right I get 60 locked.

I usually do you disable my antivirus but I've never seen much of a performance difference either way considering how much RAM I have. I think its the amount of ai I have running that's killing the fps.

I always have it set like that. I don't have any lssues with my other games. My rig is a beast with them. Maybe its my install?

I do have HT enabled. I thought that would help rather than hurt.

Yeah im not sure why its running so low. When I do training missions it seems to run just fine. I think its all the AI in the fast missions that bogs it down

I have a pretty strong system and even on medium settings if i create a fast mission I get fps in the low 20s when facing the action. I'm new to dcs so is this the norm? Specs below: 3930k @ 4.5 GTX titan super clocked 16 GB quad channel 1866 XML profile Acer 27 @ 1920x1080 Medium settings with heat blur on, vis range low, msaa off, cockpit and tree shadows off, no tsaa. Shouldnt I be running pretty well with my setup? I run xplane 10 , ROF, and clod pretty high and never move from vsync locked at 60.

I recently purchased black shark 2 but the training section is empty! LOL I are there no training modules for this bird? I never bought the first one so im completely lost!

I purchased DCS A-10 a LONG time ago and got into ROF and jsut never revisited. I recently downloaded the module a month ago and I had a quick question on the updates. Are the download modules updated to the most recent patched version or do I have to download each individual patch? If I download patch 1.1.1.1 will it cover all others or do I have to downlad .6, .7., .8, etc...????
