  1. Great work, I've been looking forward to something like this. A local laser cutting shop said they could cut a UH-1 instrument panel out of steel sheet for under $75. I'm working on specs for a panel and have a lot of measurements but if anyone else here has anything done (Solidworks file etc) I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.
  2. When I try the Free Flight option half the time the controls are frozen and the aircraft lurches into the air. I'm using a Bodnar BU0386X with custom hall effect sensors for the controls. What I don't understand is why this happens only about 50% of the time. Any ideas? Thanks.
  3. These measurements were taken from a 1969 Bell 205A1 and should not be considered exact. I'm working on a "floor plan" and will post that here when finished. Any other measurements are appreciated. Thanks. all measurements in cm (unless specified) Overhead Panel Length 67 Width 38 Depth 7 Height from floor 130 Celing height from floor 138 Centre Console Length – top 75 Length – bottom 85 Height – front 44 Height – rear 24 Width 29 Instrument Panel Width 39 3/4" Height – Left side 13” Height – Centre 15 5/8” Height – Right side 11 1/4” Glareshield – width at top cm 14 Attitude Indicator (RH) cm 12.6Hx 13.3W Cyclic Floor to bottom of grip 48 Diameter 4.5 Cyclic base 19.5 x 19.5 Collective Length from pivot to top of throttle 43 Floor to top of throttle grip 31 Throttle length 12.5 Tube Diameter 4.5 Throttle Diameter 3.8 Pedals Heelrest to bottom of pedal 12.5 Width 20 Height (pedal itself) 5 Tube Diameter 2.4 Total Height of pedal 34 Pivot to pushrod 8.5 Heelrests Length 45 Width 16.5 Seat Top of cushion to floor 38

  4. I was so impressed by that book I ordered an autographed copy to add to my collection. See Tom's site for more info if you are interested. http://www.bandit88.com/
  5. Cyclic - from floor to base of grip 51 cm Collective - from pivot point in floor to top of throttle friction - 45 cm - 4.5cm dia Throttle - length 12.5 cm Note- these aren't manufacturer specs, just my own measurements supplemented by a hovercontrol.com member.
  6. 1. Looks like 40 deg is the bottom range. The maximum travel is 12.2" I assume from the end of the collective. 2. 205 deg rotation for the throttle. Cyclic displacement is +/- 7.2" Pedal displacement is +/- 3.7" I measured a 1969 Bell 205 last fall and will post all the measurements i have as soon as I can get them into a legible form. One example: Panel Measurements. I'm planning to get a CAD drawing done for a panel. Laser cut from steel the quote was about $60. 39 3/4" Wide 15 5/8" High (at center) 11 1/4" High (Rt side) 13" High (Lft side) Hope this helps.
  7. Hopefully this will be a function that will be available in future updates. My UH-1 sim project includes a realistic panel and I'd like to be able to have the gauges on a 2nd monitor. I know it can be done in FSX but my DCS knowledge is minimal so far.
  8. My first post here is on a great set of videos. I really enjoyed your tribute and would be very interested in how you put the whole mission together. Lam Son 719 is covered in the book Rattler One-Seven for anyone who wants more info from a pilot who experienced it. Thanks for the effort you put into these.
