  1. Mi8 sight not working and some glitches I found that with the latest version of the MOD I can´t get the Mi8 sight to work. All the others seem to work fine. With every version of this MOD I am seeing these anoying text messages which is especially anoying during flying. See screenshots. Anyone elso having these? It´s the same with DCS 1.2, 1.5 or 2.0 Is there any chance at all of getting rid of the sun (and HDR effects) at screen depth and the terrible problem with the horizon? Seems the problem with the horizon is by far the biggest problem with DCS and stereo3d right now I would really like to see this one solved. It somehow seems that the horizon problem is less severe with the new nevada map, although I´m not sure about it. I think it looks sooo good in 3d...apart from these highly distracting horizon problems.
  2. Here´s the A-10C track. A10C.trk
  3. Some feedback on new 3dmigoto version. Thanks for the new version! Great to see that you managed to isolate the HUD shaders from the other stuff. Just had some time for little testing and it worked great, but also found some bugs: - Using the same settings for convergence/separation and y value, the HUD was on a much more shallow dept so still testing to get the HUD more back, but seems possible anyway. - In the Mig21 the radar is at screen dept now, but somehow there seem to be some elements that did not seem be at screen debt. Couldn`t see exactly what is was, but something didn`t "seem right". For me just a small problem though. - With the previous version and the new one, I see a "new message" comment on the top left side of the screen. Pretty sure it has something to do with this mod. - In the A-10C, the MFCD`s seem to work perfectly isolated from the HUD. Small error´s with the HUD is that some elements are at screen depth. When you switch between HUD functions (GUNS/CCRP/CCIP/air to air) the message that is displayed briefly is a screen depth and the dashed PBIL line. (That line when you are in CCIP concent to release mode). The straight line is not at screen depth by the way. Also hoping that you can fix the sun being at wrong depth sometime maybe?? Great stuff, I hope I´m not the only one enjoying your mod. Cheers, Geert
  4. Well, I hope you'll find some way to do that. I also do not understand why it should be made so complicated for us while at the same time they have to fix this stuff for VR. I didn´t know nvidia abandoned this stuff, not much seemed to be hapening that's for sure. I dont expect ED or other devs to spend much time on it, but it´s sad that they don´t even give us the tools/info to do it ourselves. Yeah, hope that the 1st generation will be acceptable though. Just out of curiosity, what type of display are you using? I have a modest 23" 3d ready display and I couldn´t really find any good info about larger displays (3d TV) or full HD projector and whether they can work in fullHD and full screen page flip with that nvidia 3dTV play driver. I'm pretty sure you have some knowledge about that :) I also would really like to know if I´m the only one were 3d just isnt´t working most of the time. Sometimes stereo turns on, but a lot of times it stays in "mono" modus (while the 3dvision driver has turned on since I can visually use the hotkeys and adjust separation, but only in mono). I have to restart DCS to make it work again.
  5. Yes, I know, and I have been using the previous HELIX fix since you made that one. The problem is that with the HELIX mod and the new 3Dmigoto mod all the MFD/radar (mig21) etc are also affected. With a "proper fix" I mean the one for the A-10C where it only affects the HUD and the rest is fine. That´s what I meant.
  6. Nice!! and thanks obviously! Just tested the HUD MOD for A-10C and it works great! Would indeed be a bit better when the HUD was a bit farther away like you mentioned, but already very useable. The old HUD fix for the F-86 Sabre still works btw! I still hope that the HUD for the mig21 can be properly fixed. Since those leatherneck guys will be releasing newer planes (at least the F-14) where there will be more problems with MFD / radar and the current HUD fix. They never did (or say) anything to fix that HUD problem for the mig21 which was disappointing.
  7. Hi Lefuneste, Great to see you again!! Hope you can fix some things, I would gladly do some testing. Unfortunately, I'm having a strange problem with 3dvision in 1.5 and I don't know if I'm alone in this. I described the problems in this thread. Short story (after doing some more tests): stereo works sometimes. Sometimes just mono-vision although the driver is working. When in mono-vision, I have to restart DCS or reboot to get stereo working again. Problem has nothing to do with time/airbase/airframe. I tested your new MOD in Mi8, Mig15, and A-10C and it works good, although the convergence setting is way to far off for me. When increasing convergence, the HUD comes way to close again. Testing with convergence settings in that .ini file but couldn't get stereo to work... Do you know how it's possible that the A-10C MOD doesn't work anymore? That fix didn't use HELIX so MFCD view was still good. The game crashed now when trying that MOD. Do you think it can be fixed? Thanks again.
  8. 3dvision HUD fix for A-10C causes DCS crash DCS crashed when this MOD is enabled. The folder structure did not change in this case for 1.5 so this does not look good. Anyone who is good with this stuf (lefuneste?) watching this? There´s also a problem with the horizon and the sun is at screendepth. It seems that the problem with the horizon only happens when in the cockpit.
  9. mtbikergt78, Did you reply to my post or another one? Also, has anybody got any of the HUD MODS working for stereo3d? The HELIX mod doens´t work any more, which could only work for directx9 if I`m not mistaken. A-10C crashes in my case so couldn´t test that one which was based on some LUA script. Obviously something that requires fixing.
  10. Left alt + enter makes 3dvision work, so thanks for that tip! However, I tested a few things and unfortunately it's quite buggy in my case. Sometimes there's a different (static) view in one eye which doens't refresh,so it can be a frame from inside the mission editor while the other eye shows the normal perspective for that eye. Sometimes just mono-vision. One time during flying it switched from stereo to mono and I could not get stereo back. In the heuy I tried one mission and it seemed to work, after that I tested a later time scenario (dusk) and there was no stereo. Then I quit the mission and edited something in the mission editor, like start time or start base and see what hapened. Sometimes stereo works sometimes not, haven't found out any structure in this, so for instance, at one time stereo stopped working when I went to Batumi, then, after I got stereo working again I switched back to Batumi and stereo worked. In addition, when there's lots of switching from full screen to windowed freetrack "lost track" so to speak a couple of times. Do any of you have the same issues?
  11. Already tried that and it comes up with the same error message...it seems to be tied to the same updater.exe that seems to cause the problem because if I start the dcs.exe file manually, DCS starts, but very buggy, I can´t even go to the mission editor or start an instant action mission. thanks for the suggestion though.
  12. I'm getting this error now: "JSON error: parse error: premature EOF" ...so...uhh...:helpsmilie: please?? thanks!
  13. I can't get it to work at all. Anybody out there tried it/solved it who is more software capable than I am? Thanks.
  14. Hi "f4IO", thanks a lot for finding and pointing to that software! I had no opportunity to do any testing yet but this looks very interesting. So thanks.
  15. One or more bass shakers (google/ixquick.com), a subwoofer amplifier to drive the shaker(s) (basically a subwoofer without the actual driver) and some wiring off course. You can split the audio signal coming from your soundcard and send it directly to the amplifier (which works well to a very limited extend) or you can use this very new (alfa/beta stage) software: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=144060 See the above thread also for more info.
  16. Jetseat vs shaker Some people here have a jetseat AND a buttkicker/shaker. I'm wondering wether both systems compliment each other or make the other one obsolete. Any other opinions/reviews/comments of people who have tried both systems? Thanks, Geert
  17. Thanks for bringing this up...as if human controlled weapons aren't bad enough :helpsmilie:
  18. Thanks for the update Andre, I tested the Mig21 for a short while and found some small issues: - After burner effects were not present or not detectable (I turned the slider to 100%) - When doing a rough landing, the landing gear got damaged, but remained perfectly in place. Upon damaging the landing gear, all runway vibrations were gone. I took off again and couldn't get the landing gear up (--> damaged), landed again to double check but I landed so bad that the landing gear broke off and landed on the belly of the plane, and that gave great vibrations! - While in previous version the runway bumps were very weak, they were better again (as you mentioned), but now I could not really detect any of those continueous vibrations, or maybe too little. Maybe someone else could verify this? cheers, Geert
  19. Sling load demonstration Hi Andre, Do you really need a track or is this youtube tutorial sufficient? At about 7 min. in the video the sling loading stuff begins. Should you require a track anyway please let me know! Geert
  20. Mig21 works after changing the simshaker.lua file for me. I like the after burner effects, although now the touchdown and runway sounds feel a bit weak. While going over the runway, I like how there is an overal shaking effect going on, but now I don`t feel these distinct bumbs anymore (or very little maybe), would be nice to have both. In general though, it feels quite good. I tried the Huey again, and weapons release (tested rockets and miniguns) don`t work yet, I don´t know if they were implemented yet, couldn´t find that very fast. Another suggestion/request for the Huey would be sling loading vibrations. Would be nice if there was some feedback when the cargo was hooked and released and would be really cool to actually feel when the cargo hits things like ground or buildings or when it moves over the ground. I think that it would also be very useful to the pilot since it´s a bit difficult to see what´s going on with the cargo through that small 2D camera window. cheers, Geert
  21. Thanks for the update Andre. I tried mig21 twice, and it didn't do anything. A-10C did work, so the software was "active". Geert
  22. Hi, Well, I for one hope you will add as much support for planes/Helos/effects as possible :) I just don't know what would even be possible. I just purchased 2 bass shakers and amplifier only because of the software you made since I don't have high expectations about using only sound to drive these things. Unfortunately, I find little information about how realistic bass shakers/jetseat feel in general. Does anybody reading this have actually experience using the jetseat AND bass shakers and can give a good comparison between the two? And maybe comment on whether the vibrations seem in some way realistic? (I only read that they "add immersion" and feel cool or stuff like that). 2 more questions I have: - Can/will USB soundcards also be supported as an option for the indygogo project? For instance, I use the Steinberg UR22. Or might it be added in the future? - How are bass shakers/jetseat working with helicopters? Can you really get a sense of the heli being shaken around in some situations? Just wondering. cheers, Geert
  23. Link not working anymore Hi Andre, The link to the indigogo site is down. I could still find the project within the indigogo site and could donate but had to look for it.
  24. Hi AussiM8, Thnks for explaining, I read about it previously though and I don´t need it right now, not using any bass shakers or stuff like that. It would be better offcourse when we shouldn´t need another programm just to make this happen, I hope / assume that Andre could make something that will work out of the box? Andre, would it also be possible to use USB in stead of audio jack and make a device (possibly by using some arduino stuff/DCS bios) and create something like that BFF shaker? So not just a bass shaker thing but something like this could that be done without the need for any BFF shaker card, just software, arduino and motor control? Possibly even to combine with DCS-bios? and more importantly, would it even make sense? Just wondering...I don´t have any off that stuff, only learning (slowly) about Arduino. Cheers, Geert
  25. some questions Hi! Great project! However, I saw very limited options for the non FC3 planes, some planes are not even there yet, much less options and no sliders to set the strength of the effects. Are you still working on these and possibly other options and effects? Are there any limitations that make implementing some effects impossible for some planes? Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere already. Also, I can´t activate more than one soundcard at a time, I guess this is a windows´ related limitation. I assume you will program the software in such a way that eliminates that problem so that more than one sound card can be used at the same time? I also read somewhere that the frequency output on normal soundcards is limited in such a way that very low frequencies are not supported (something like not lower than 20 or 40 Hz). Won´t that be a problem as well or is it software rather than hardware related? I´m using a USB wireless headset (like many others I suppose) could that be a problem? Last thing, I came acros this thing a while ago which seems impressive but can´t do anything with DCS, is what you are making similar/same to this? http://bffsimulation.com/BFF_Shaker.php Thanks for all the info and efforts. Cheers! Geert
