Oha, tatsächlich ist mir diese Funktion völlig unbekannt. :music_whistling:

 

Gerade mal im aktuellen DCS-Handbuch nachgeschaut, aber was da steht ist leider auch nicht mehr so ganz aktuell:

The Initial Point (IP) button opens the Initial Point window, which is used to place an IP on the map. This point will be stored in the player's Ka-50 ABRIS navigation system as an independent navigation point.

Von daher habe ich tatsächlich keine Ahnung was diese Funktion bei den unterschiedlichen Flugzeugen eigentlich tut :dunno:

Da ich keine neuen Punkte anlegen kann, ist das IP-Point System für die Viggen tot. Schade. Hätte gehofft, man hätte es nutzen können.

Jap, habe auch eine große Liste an Referenzpunkten, die ich immer konsequent ignoriert habe (und das auch weiterhin tun werde, da ich nicht wüsste was ich mit denen anfangen sollte). :D

und stell einfach mal nur eine Viggen auf eine AB.

Dann schaust du dir mal das Kneeboard-Pages an.

 

 

Das würde schonmal helfen um zu sehen ob der Fehler nicht bei mir liegt.

Wenn du auch so viele Referenzpunkte hast, dann kommt das Problem von ED oder Heatblur.

Ok, danke, dann stimmt zumindest mit der Viggen und ihrem Nav-System alles :)

In der Mission geben sie nicht mehr die Position vom BAS-90 wieder,

sondern sind irgendwelche NDBs.

Ja, aber wo sind sie falsch? Erst bei Eingabe der Referenznummer im Navigationssystem oder sind bereits die im Kniebrett niedergeschriebenen Koordinaten falsch?

I have even heard that HB are going to try and purposefully break the Pilot Controls LANTIRN mod that is out there at the moment! Something about unfair advantage for single pilot in MP or something? Uh? Might just be a rumor thou.

This "feature" of controlling stuff in the backseat from the front seat and vice versa is a bug that currently serves as a workaround for some of you to do stuff that Jester isn't capable of (using LANTIRN especially) and will be removed once Jester gets this ability of his own.

 

Crew coordination is a major aspect of the F-14 experience and bypassing this is through gamey keybinds is not intended behaviour, because as you said yourself, this is far from being even remotely realistic:

But bottom line, LANTIRN bombing in the Tomcat from the front is pretty awesome at the moment - not 'realistic' I know. Also I think the Jester controls LANTIRN will not give the same flexibility as doing it yourself...or the fun.

Das ist eine Kniebrettseite die ich gar nicht kenne. Ich kenne Referenzpunkte bei der Viggen nur für die Airbases, die standardmäßig für jede Map im Viggen-Kniebrett hinterlegt sind. Referenzpunkte für sonstige Orte sind mir noch nicht begegnet. So wie ich Ragnar versteh hat er da selbst zwei Referenzpunkte innerhalb der Mission angelegt. Wenn dem so ist, wäre das neu für mich denn mir war gar nicht bewusst, dass das geht. Das Handbuch in der Version 1.0 erwähnt auch nichts derartiges, allerdings ist da das Kapitel für die Viggen-Funktionen im Missionseditor auch noch leer. Das aktuelle Handbuch kann ich mir gerade mobil nicht anschauen.

Allerdings sind auf deinem Kniebrett weit mehr als nur die zwei von Ragnar genannten Referenzpunkte zu sehen. Wo kommen die denn alle her?

 

Wie dem auch sei, du sagst, dass wenn du den Referenzpunkt anfliegen willst, dass dich dein Navi dann nicht zu der Roadbase hinführt, sondern ganz woanders hin. Da stellst sich jetzt die Frage, ob das Navigationssystem einen Fehler hat oder ob die koordinaten im Kniebrett schon gar nicht stimmen.

Da die Koordinaten bei den Referenzpunkten im Kniebrett ja direkt dabei stehen, kannst du ja einfach mal auf der F10-Karte schauen, ob die im Kniebrett stehende Koordinate auch tatsächlich da ist wo der Referenzpunkt sein soll oder ob die Koordinate ganz wo anders ist wo dich das Navigationssystem dann hinführt.

I'm still a bit confused by the SRS integration, mainly on two things:

 

1. Do we now need to have 4 keybinds for comms? Two for game comms and two for SRS?

3. How does SRS handle talking to your RIO/Pilot?

1. No, you only need the ingame keybinds. That's the 4 way comms switch on the pilots throttle (ICS, Radio 1, Radio 2, Both) and the 2 comm pedals for the RIO pit (ICS, Radio). You don't have to map anything in SRS itself. That's only for some other aircraft that are not supported with their native comm keybinds by SRS or don't even have their own comm keybinds (FC3).

 

3. Just like the real Tomcat: You either use the Cold Mic mode meaning you will have to press the ICS button/pedal to talk to the other crewmember or you switch to hot mic which allows you to talk to the other crewmember without pressing anything. Since the most recent update you should also be able to just yell to the other crewmember and he should hear you through the pit (if you yell loud enough). I personally haven't tested the yelling yet, but the rest works great.

I doubt it will ever get implemented, as it is not implemented in any DCS module unfortunately :(

[Fishbed & Viggen: radar raytracing?]

It means that if the model shape is accurate, with ray traced radar, the range at which a 5th generation fighter can be detected by radar will be realistically reduced.

It's really not that simple or otherwise many countries would have stealth fighters in their inventory for a long time already. There are many other factors that play into that, like materials, fan blade and engine inlet designs and more...

DCS does already has RCS as a factor and thus stealth aircraft like the F-117 have a pretty low RCS in DCS.

Frage zum BAS-90

 

 

In einer Testmission von LN wurde auf der Landebahn des BAS-90 ein IP-Point gesetzt (9202). Diesen konnte mal in den Flightcomputer eingeben und damit einen Navigationspunkt setzten.

 

 

Das funktioniert aber nicht mehr. Oder nur bei mir nicht mehr.

Ich habe jetzt fast 150 IP-Punkte im Kneeboard stehen und 9202 ist z.B. ein NDB.

Ist das bei euch auch so?

Ich kann leider noch 9348 keinen weiteren Punkt mehr setzen.

Das alles sagt mir ehrlich gesagt gar nichts :huh:

Hast du da vielleicht irgendwie einen Link zu wo du das her hast?

Die F22 ist halt leider zu teuer und darf nicht exportiert werden, sonst wäre die sicher ein gewaltiger Kassenschlager...

"Zu teuer" ist gut, die wird gar nicht mehr produziert :D

 

Davon abgesehen ist die internationale Nachfrage an reinen Jägern doch ziemlich gering. Die meisten Länder können sich nicht verschiedene Kampfjet-Typen leisten und setzen daher auf Mehrzwecklösungen wie die F-16 oder nun die F-35.
