  1. Thank you, Tito, Yo-Yo and Britglider!
  2. I read at Wikipedia some aerodynamic advantages of coaxial rotors: Settling with power - Reduced Retreating blade stall - Eliminated Ground resonance - Eliminated Low-frequency vibrations - None Medium frequency vibrations - None High frequency vibrations - None Transition from powered flight to autorotation - Eliminated Anti torque system failure in forward flight - Eliminated Anti torque system failure while hovering - Eliminated Height-Velocity Curve - EliminatedCan you tell me if all this statements are true? My logic says the height-velocity curve (dead-man's curve) is the same than the "classic" helos.
  3. All Prosimco games: http://www.prosimco.com/ I like particullary Air Assault Task Force: http://www.prosimco.com/aatf/index.htm http://vootatico.com/index.php?s=aatf
  4. Anyone knows the aproximate RCS of a little helo (Fennec, Gazelle, OH-58D)?
  5. Another Polish Mi-24 videos (maybe you had watched someone): http://vootatico.com/archives/481 http://vootatico.com/archives/477
  6. Yep. EECH (with the community developed patchs) it's a good sim. But EE2... I don't know...
  7. The graphics are pretty good; but not so realistic; a little "cartoon-shape" like the original EECH. The sounds, voices, missiles and projectiles trajectories are the same the EECH.
  8. Not very impressive, so arcade. The community developed EECH 1.8.4 seems best. http://vootatico.com/archives/553
  9. Insurgents subject US helicopters to more deadly attacks: http://vootatico.com/?p=540
  10. At this manual, you can see that cruise (free or combat) is a formation and not a type of terrain flight.
  11. But it's easier to fly. At sim, you don't feel the G-force, peripherical vision, depth-sense, etc.
  12. Nice suggestions! In accordance with Brazilian (and French) Army aviation TTP (i don't know these procedures at Russian Army): 1st Group of Speed: less than 30 kt (low lift, high torque and power) 2nd Group: 30-80 kt (high lift, medium torque and power) 3rd Group: more than 80 kt (high lift, high torque) - NOE: 10-15 ft - Contour: about 50 ft, direct route - Low level: 100-200 ft above the highest obstacle, max speed Cruise is not a terrain flight.
  13. Video and some screens. The video is nice but looks like an arcade. http://vootatico.com/?p=80 http://www.eech2.com/
  14. In-route NOE flight is hard to coordinate with several aircrafts inside the terrain compartments. Staggared column is the most common formation. Another combat formation just after the attack position (or Initial Point).
