  1. Spitfire complete??? According to the developer notes that came with the latest Open Beta update (2.5.2.19723.411) the Spitfire is now complete. However there does seem to be a problem with the first person view as there is glass reflection when looking out from the cockpit even when the canopy is open.
  2. Can confirm that I have the same bug - unable to change soft altitude for radar alt from 0 to 450 (or any other height) using AMFCD>HSI>DATA>A/C and UFC scratch pad
  3. Firstly to Art-J, msalama and QuiGon my heartfelt thanks. Your replies to my problem prompted me to double check all my settings and I found that the Options/F86 page of the Open Beta version Nose Wheel Steering Simple Behaviour box was ticked and in the Release version it was not ticked. Ticking this setting in the Release version solved the issue. Thanks you guys.
  4. In the 2.5 Open Beta version the nose wheel steering works perfectly. In the new 2.5 Release version the nose wheel steering can stick unexpectantly and not follow the input from the rudder pedals when the nose wheel steering button is depressed. I think this is a bug with the Release version. If not it is certainly a backwards step in simulating this great aircraft. for information, I know two pilots who have / do fly the Sabre - albeit that they flew / fly the CAC Sabre which was produced under licence in Australia. One flew Sabres in the 60s and the other currently owns an airworthy Sabre which is kept at the Temora historical aviation facility in New South Wales. Both confirm that the Sabre's nose wheel steering is smooth and very precise and does not jam when turned to its port or starboard extreme arc of travel.
  5. I primarily fly the F-86F Sabre. In the Open Beta version the nose wheel steering works perfectly. In the new Release version the nose wheel steering can stick unexpectantly and not follow the input from the rudder pedals when the nose wheel steering button is depressed. I think this is a bug with the Release version.
  6. The mic and speaker boost reset to -8dB each time I close and reopen the program. In the previous version, these settings stayed at what they had been set. Is there any way to set mic and speaker boost and have it remain the same even though I have closed the program and then (sometime later) reopened the program?
  7. I just tried to install KBB. I selected OpenBeta, navigated to my DCS OpenBeta folder and ensured the path was correct and clicked SAVE. All I got was a popup stating "Kneeboard Builder has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program etc etc etc" Anybody have an idea what is going wrong? EDIT: Read suggestion to delete the folder “CaucasusBase” from “…\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\terrains”. I first deleted all KBB folders and files and then re-extracted them to a new folder on one of my drives. Then I deleted CaucasusBase folder and ran KBB's exe. I then selected the OpenBeta in Preferences and saved. All is now OK.
  8. Lately I have experienced several nose wheel tire blowouts when taking off in the F-15. I took a track and that shows the nose wheel wobbling rapidly from side to side as I commence the take off role. The nose wheel steering is disengaged which should mean the nose wheel stays rock steady during the take off role. Any ideas on how to avoid this problem would be appreciated.
  9. After the latest update the text in the main screen and control screen is very fuzzy. When I Prt Scr and paste it in to Paint the text appears very clear. All other aspects of the game work OK although it does appear slower to load at the start. I have checked all my screen resolutions and everything appears OK. Any ideas as to what is causing the fuzzy text?
  10. Thank BRooDJeRo. However as the ship was going ahead at about 7 kph and there was no wind, it is very surprising for the Huey to also slide forward along the deck. The physics are all wrong. If anything, the Huey should slide backwards as the wind over the deck would be from right ahead.

    UH-IH Huey

As for the Huey start up procedure - Section 9 of the UH-1H Flight Manual. It can be found in the drive where you installed the Huey mod under DCS World/Mods/aircraft/uh-1H/Doc Best of luck it is a great a/c to fly!

    UH-IH Huey

Completely agree with IJammer - the Huey needs its own section please.
  13. When I land my UH-1H on the flight deck of the carrier it slides forward along the deck (even when the motor is shut down) until it falls over the ship's bow. Is it possible to increase the deck friction value so that the UH-1H does not slide off the carrier's deck?
