Буду рад, если вынесешь ее на какое-то Ваше внутреннее обсуждение, хотя бы в формате обмена мнениями "в курилке". :) Рынок на самом деле может оказаться интересным, прежде всего с точки зрения востребованности для отдельных экспертов, оборонных агентств и штабных игр военных. И, как участвовавший в закрытом бета-тесте CMANO - могу подкинуть несколько их самых больших косяков, на которых, с вашим богатейшим практическим опытом и знаниями, вы легко их побьете. Уж если об опыте и навыках говорить - они действительно любители, на фоне монстров из ED, особенно что касается качества и глубины симуляций. Понятно, что подобные продукты не требуют АФМ для каждого юнита, но опять-же, глядя на то, как убого и примитивно реализованы те-же сенсоры или логика работы вооружения в CMANO, постоянно ловлю себя на мысли "Иглы бы этот-же момент сделали в 100 раз лучше, реалистичней и правильней."

Вопрос разработчикам Eagle Dynamics: Господа, с вашим беспрецедентным опытом в разработке симуляторов и тренажеров, не думали-ли Вы занять нишу CMANO? Понимаю, что рынок подобных продуктов довольно узкий, но с вашим опытом и умением, и учитывая откровенно слабое качество CMANO, лично я вижу потенциальную возможность сделать перманентно востребованный настольный продукт для всех сортов "диванных стратегов" - от любителей и энтузиастов и до профессиональных экспертов и оборонных агентств и ведомств, частных и государственных. Заранее благодарю за ответ.

Actually, not much is known about those few 9-13S, their current status and shape. But it's pretty well known that R-77 production was scrapped in Ukraine right after 1991 when USSR has collapsed and RVV-AE wasn't in RuAF service because it's a pure export product which is not adapted and not certified by our DoD because it contained much of foreign electronics and other parts.

The main proof here is the fact that only modernized and new aircrafts, like Su-27SM, Su-30M2, Su-30SM, Su-35 etc, can carry and fire RVV-AE. Old Su-27 and MIG-29(9-12) are not "compatible" with it. The first and only known contract, where mid-range ARH AA missile(RVV-SD) for RuAF figured - was signed in 2009, as complementary contract to the main contract on 48 Su-35S for RuAF.

AFAIK, not really - according to guys from the Mil' camp(022 or boyan - i don't remember who exactly) it was a joke of the guys from the testing laboratory which ended up as part of the promo-video.

160 millions is a flyaway cost. The cumulative cost of the ATF programme is around of 300 millions per plane. Actually, in some aspects - it does even more, since 20 years has passed between the Raptor and PAK FA. For example, because of advancements in the electronics and the heterogeneous structures for the last 20 years, which made AESA transmitters much cheaper - PAK FA is equipped with the lateral AESA arrays from the beginning. Same thing with the EODAS analogue on PAK FA - 101 KS-U, that Raptor doesn't have. And finally, same goes for the computer simulations and CAD - computing capacity and capabilities rose up by more than 1000 times for those 20 years, gave incredible new opportunities to developers of PAK FA and save a lot of money. So, the main question is lying in the quantities - and this is the most difficult question for the Russia, because the serial production fully depends on the money.

IIRC, first production lot that contained ten of them have been delivered in the 2012 and another 6-8 is planned to be upgraded and delivered this year. Also, 60 is a planned number until 2020. So - there is a DOZEN of MIG-31BM in the RuAF ATM, at best.

What about weapons quality? :rolleyes: Huge numbers?! There is a dozen of MIG-31BM and slightly two than two dozens of the MIG-29SMT. How is that - very easy? Stealth is a very important factor, but to reduce the range of detection by 2 times - you should reduce RCS by 16 times. So, it's not a case of EU fighters since they don't have a weapon bays. You're overestimating AESA significance in BVR. How is that? Why? To talk about maneuverability - you should have something like this.
