CH 'Hawg' you say? Any chance we can see a pic please? No, with respect you're wrong. There have been many completely bricked units that are not just firmware related but looks like a component issue.

People Using TMWH that never bellyed...
twobells replied to Succellus's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
One definite factor is that most if not all of the Asus users with un-bricked units use either a externally powered usb hub or usb ports in monitors/keyboards NOT onboard Motherboard USB and the ones who don't use hubs etc AND use onboard usb leave their hotas powered 24/7 althougth the pc itself is off. It seems it is a voltage issue on boot up that bricks the Warthog due to poor firmware development. -
thanks guys

Warthog throttle back and firmware 20
twobells replied to Blackrat_UK's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
TM deny there is a firmware 20 so it looks like BlackRat is also a black guinea pig :-) I really hope the throttle holds buddy and desperately waiting myself on the new firmware before plugging in my third unit. ps: is there any way to extract BlackRat's firmware? -

Seems there is a new firmware available (20) on all outgoing hogs, all we need now is to gain access to it. -

Firmware 20? Any chance you could ask TM support to attach it as a file to you? -

Your post would have helped more if you had actually stated your motherboard make and spec as well, counter to what you wrote indicating which mobo chipset design cause the brick may be essential to a firmware fix. Regarding smelling burning components; that is plainly ludicrous as parts fail all the time without creating any Hollywood special effects. As for 'scrambling and panicking' I've seen none on ED Forums rather the opposite actually so please link me a thread where all this girlish behaviour is going on. -
People Using TMWH that never bellyed...
twobells replied to Succellus's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Now we're getting somewhere. Ok, we need to know how many people using Asus motherboards with non-bricked units use an external usb device to plug in their Warthog or have current running to their throttle even when the pc is powered down (ie green lights are on) Both of my units that bricked were 04 series, my friends have 02 series and haven't bricked but whether that means anything we won't know till we get far more reports. -

Problem with Warthog Throttle
twobells replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Perhaps we must use external usb hubs that power the unit constantly as a short term fix. Maybe the ones using usb hubs that DID brick turned off power to the hub at some point at the same time they turned off/on the pc? -

Did you power down your usb hub and pc at any time while your throttle was connected? -

For non-bricked owners are your green lights (i: hotas powered) when your machine is turned off? My friend owns a Asus P6T and when his pc is off the hotas still has power to it (green lights are on) and hasn't had a brick yet. Possible answer? Problem with Warthog Throttle

I have created a topic for all owners of bricked units to specify their motherboards specs. Hopefully it will be stickied as we need to sort this out urgently. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=66542
