it seems people are really affraid to miss the release by seconds. Seems to me a release before the weekend would be a great scenario. If it needs to be delayed again so be it. ED and partners must be getting so tired of all those people "demanding "updates and release-info from behind their lazy seats . It doenst help at all.... ED, thanks for all the hard work and a making a great sim

Good job ED! DCSW 1.5, the next step into the future, with even more great thins ahead

lets order some pizza night snack for those guys ;)

nice info ! thanks

gosh all those questions about when it will be released. We are lucky with such a patient guy like SiThSpAwN here answering that. DCS world (and therefore EDGE) is for FREE so give them a break.

Pre-Purchase NEVADA Test and Training Range
sebas1977 replied to KEULE's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I was prepared and made a big hole in my wallet so the money can get out for this map and the M2000C. With the upcoming release of modules and maps, DCS has a bright future ahead. As for civilian planes, don't think it has use (except for AI trafic). Transports might be interesting someday during a good (dynamic) campaign to get troops and equipment across the battlefield. I dont see how flying an AWACS for 8 hours in circuits at FL320 can be very exciting... But thats all off-topic really... All the credits to ED and the other teams for making this sim! -
Why do I get a warning when Radar Altimeter is disabled?
sebas1977 replied to Dudester22's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
It depends a bit on which warning you get. (ALTITUDE, or PULL UP) GCAS has different modes. Predictive GCAS (PGCAS) based on elevation database loaded in the DTC. It will warn you when approaching elevated terrain higher then youre present altitude. Part of this is also Obstacle warning (like towers and buildings) but I'm not sure this implemented in the DCS A-10c. Turning off radar altitude will disable pgcas. On the other hand, pointing the nose down to the ground (high descent rate) will also generate a warning which has nothing to do with PGCAS. In the F-16 this is called GAAF (Ground Avoidance Advisory Function). This function is independent of radar altitude. see also this post : http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1560057&postcount=11 -
Very nice video and music that fits the scenes... Well done!

Well most things has been said, and everybody knows that every game has bugs/problems of some kind. And just when things get more clear and news has been released, people are gonna ask/wish for more, i.e. more dual seat combat aircraft. And then cry about this as it will take another two years to develop the F-15E. But just take notice of what this game will be like, in about a year from now ! not gonna put another list here but it is amazing and we all know that. So, thanks to ED, partners and 3rd party devs for creating/updating/expanding this great sim !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
