Way too many to mention. But a few that stand out... F15 Strike Eagle on the Spectrum. First proper flight sim, loved it. Gunship on the Spectrum. First proper heli sim, loved it. Fighter Bomber on the Atari ST. I remember me and my mate watching a guy playing it in our local computer shop. Our jaws both hit the deck when the wings on the F111 swept back :O F19 Stealth Fighter on the Atari ST. Me and the same mate bought it from John Menzies on the same day and spent 2 hours devouring the rather hefty manual in the local Wimpy restaurant. Falcon on the Atari ST. Need I say more. F16 Combat Pilot on the Atari ST. First ever multiplayer flight sim experience via the good old null modem lead. Many a late night on that one along with Flight of the Intruder. Birds of Prey and Fleet Defender on the Amiga are also worthy mentions in the 16 bit era. Jet Fighter 2 on the PC. So basic it could run from a single floppy on the crappy office computer we had at work. Me and my mate spent many a long nightshift practising carrier landings and shooting down enemy cruise missiles on this. Tornado on the PC. Probably the best flight sim ever made. The depth of this sim was truly immense. I've always wondered what Tornado would look like if it was remade today. TFX on the PC. Atmospheric overload. It came with a separate audio CD to provide the in game tuneage. It rocked. I believe EF2000 was the sequel, never got around to that one. Mig Alley. Amazing visuals for the time. IL2. Need I say more. LOMAC. I remember almost having a special sex pee in my pants when I first played this. It was truly a game changer.

Observatory/Mosque/ATC Radar Take your pick Looking at the co-ordinates in Google Earth it looks like an arboretum/park of some kind. Certainly no sign of buildings looking like that.

Did you check that you used the correct grid 38T/37T?

Try having the laser on before making the SPI.

The way I see it is... The non lase method: Set up your initial SPI with TGP and begin attack run. A few seconds before pickle time adjust your TGP to ensure it's on target and set SPI again. Pickle. The lase method: Set up initial SPI with TGP ensuring that laser is on when setting SPI and begin attack run. Pickle. ( using this method I personally would still check the SPI accuracy prior to pickle, but it should be spot on) Either method works, use whichever one you prefer. I imagine that in RL method 1 would be preferred as there is no chance of the laser being detected by the enemy.

I think with the broad range of people of differing abilities just TS on it's own would be best, no?

I now it was only hypothetical, but as probably the first flight sim I ever played I would love to see the F-19 make an appearance!

To be fair I'v never really understood how it works myself. From the manual, it states when firing single rockets the rocket will impact where the piper is aiming, but when firing pairs they land centred around the piper. How? Does the position of the piper change depending on which wing the rocket is launched from?

Ripple pairs will have a wider impact pattern than ripple single.

What it says on the tin really. Offsets for the CCIP pipper. i.e. if you stick 5 in the RT field the bomb will impact 5 mils to the right of the pipper.

Yep, generally software doesn't have a "native" resolution, displays have a native resolution and software is written to be able to run in a variety of resolutions.

I would imagine that the best resolution would be the native resolution of your display, assuming that your GPU card is powerful enough to drive it.
