  1. For whoever would be interessed in the F-22 http://www.aviationtoday.com/Assets/AVIlockheed2j.pdf Special Report, Avionics Magazine (20 pages, including ads )
  2. The Oscar goes to... A few days ago I was wondering what would be a movie with this song (Requiem for a Dream), and you made it now. How about Five Inch Nails' song "Just Like You Imagined" in a BS movie? I believe it will be a nice choice. My congratulations for your superb work! "The Oscar goes to...Glowing Amraam!!"
  3. From the site indicated: "Injection of water into the air-compressor inlet also increases the thrust, but can be used only at take-off because of the high water consumption." In fact it was used not only in fighters, but in civilian passenger planes also, like the Fokker F-27/FAirchild-Hiller FH-227 (and every plane equipped with Rolls-Royce Dart engines). In this case, not only water, but a mix of water+methanol. I know this because I worked with that planes before. But in Brazil we don't have them anymore.
  4. In a "hot summer day", open the windows...
  5. If anyone has "The Virtual Thunderbirds - Smoke On" (50 minutes, 1.05GB, 1280x720p, WMV HD) and can upload it to 4share.com I will be thankfully. The actual host (http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=28&getfile=552) has restrictions (doesn't allow restarts).
  6. Yes. The very same. Only new location and without password.

  10. Good videos at http://www.sukhoi.org/eng/gallery/?gallery_id=99&cur_gallery_id=99 specially this http://www.sukhoi.org/files/video/sukhoi_maks2005.avi (89Mb). Warning! The links in this site open the video directly in your media player, as the complet link is http://www.sukhoi.org/files/video/sukhoi_maks2005.avi?r=99&gallery_id=99&cur_gallery_id=99 ! So copy the link, cut off the part after ".avi" of any video and download it with your "download manager". And don't know if there is a post about this site in the forum. I didn't find it. Thanks for all.
  11. Ok. Started with the Gripen, I put the pics of the F-35, and Kusch mentione a topic about the Typhonn... My fault.
  12. Excelent!
  13. It has an HUD: http://www.gripen.com/en/GripenFighter/TechnicalSummary.htm Cockpit and Display System: The Gripen cockpit is dominated by three large, full color, Multi-Function Displays (MFDs) and a wide angle diffractive optics Head-Up Display (HUD) with a holographic combiner. A highly efficient human-machine interface has been integrated into the Gripen to substantially ease pilot workload, particularly in combat situations. This provides a Gripen pilot with outstanding situational awareness, ensuring unrivalled operational effectiveness. It also increases the time available for tactical decision-making allowing the pilot to use the aircraft and weapons system to maximum effect. The main functions of each display are as follows: Head-Up Display (HUD) - providing FLIR imagery and weapon aiming information superimposed on the outside world at all altitudes. Flight Data Display (FDD) - provides flight data and system status information about the engine, fuel and external stores. Horizontal Situation Display (HSD) - provides navigational and tactical mission data superimposed on an electronic map of selectable scale. Multi-Sensor Display (MSD) - presents information from the radar, FLIR imagery and other sensors. Flight and fire control data are also superimposed.

  20. golfsierra2 was talking about the importance of the german language based on the number of people who talk in german. His number is based on only one continent, but could be surpassed by only one country (not to mention China and Japan also). The importance of a language resides in its commercial value, how much it exports/imports. This is why we talk in english here in this forum. Number of people talking the same language, as exposed before, is important also, but 95 million is a low number, compared with other languages, portuguese included. About the text in portuguese, it wasn't the first time that another language was used in this forum, and I used it to made a personal invitation to Pilotasso, for him participate in our brazilian foruns also. There isn't any reference to others members of the lockon forum in that text. A person with his experience would be of great contribuition for the brazilians newbies (or newbee, I don't remeber now). You are welcome also. http://www.falcoesdanoite.com.br/ And I believe that is better to continue talking in english in this forum. Best Regards Rolim
  21. 90-95 million people :megalol: Hey man, do you know the actual population of Brazil? É hábito dos participantes não respeitar a gramática, mas lá todos sabem o que é lingüiça:thumbup: .) Thanks for your support ThomasDWeiss. Best Regards Rolim
  22. Thanks! Thank you, very much! You made my life better!"We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day! Keep smiling through, just like you always do, 'till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away! So, will you please say hello to the folks that I know? Tell them I won't be long! They'll be happy to know that as you saw me go, I was singin' this song: We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day! So, will you please say hello to the folks that I know? Tell them I won't be long! They'll be happy to know that as you saw me go . . . I was singin' this song: We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day! We'll meet again, we'll meet again . . . Music by Albert R.
