  1. Heya, After 3 days of headaches and much cursing, I've almost got my 3 projector/270 degree setup working. For such an expensive piece of software, I am shocked at how little information is available for setting up Fly Elise. I think part of the problem is that their documentation isn't keeping up with their software versions. Anyway, I'm using Immersive Display Pro v4.6.5 and Immersive Calibration Pro v5.2.2 I've gotten to the point where I'm outputting 3 DCS viewports that aren't matching up yet (see WarthogProject01 screen capture from The Warthog Project's video). He gets to this point and then pushes a button that's apparently mapped to "Warp 3D" or something and then the canopy rails like up and everything looks right (see WarthogProject02). I can't for the life of me find a "Warp 3D" function/button to map to and so can't move beyond the situation in the 1st screen cap. Anybody know how to get DCS to line up the 3 viewports so that there's one continuous 270 degree image where everything matches up? Thanks, Cheers! Gary
  2. Fakum, I haven't had any luck yet, but will give you details if/when I do. I'd ask you to do the same for me if you get there first. :) Cheers! Gary
  3. Careful there, cousin: North of the 49th we're still forced to spell things ye olde fashioned way.... Although still mired in infantile attempts to establish a national identity simply by being different than y'all, we're most definitely on this side of the pond ;) Heh Yours in humoUr, Gary
  4. I have over 30 years in fast jets, helos, and now heavies ... but THAT would make me puke just standing still on the ground  heh Cheers! Gary
  5. Jane's AH-64D Longbow had that capability but I found that the autopilot always got me killed while I was trying to concentrate on the front seat stuff. What we really need is multi person crew capability :) Cheers! Gary
  6. Friends, Does anybody know if the "Cub" guy who was selling Hall Sensors for the Cougar HOTAS is still around? I've emailed (twice) him through his site and haven't heard anything back... first email was over a month ago. I've got a Warthog setup now, but am going to convert the Cougar over to an F15/F18 stick - and I'd like to rebuild it (and my TM RCS) in the process. Anyway, yeah, I'm looking to source some "drop-in" Hall sensors. Thanks, Cheers! Gary
  7. I'm willing to bet that if a multiplayer AWACS was developed, a ton of R/L controllers would flock to DCS world... the same people who currently hang out on VATSIM doing ATC for virtual airlines. I, personally, would LOVE to be able to interface with live controllers in the air and on the ground. Imagine coming off a CAS stack while being handed off from Magic to Slayer, and all with real people on the other end of the mic ... Dayum! I'd invest in a project like that. Cheers! Gary
  8. ^^^ This ^^^ As for the aspect, I'm not familiar yet with what 'AWACS' calls DCS makes but in the real world they will tell you if the bad guys are pointing at you (HOT), pointing away from you (COLD/DRAGGING), or flying a perpendicular course (BEAMING/FLANKING). Cheers! Gary
  9. I've owned all the big names over the years (CH, TM, Suncom, Saitek, etc) and the only devices I've ever had a problem with are the TMs that I've owned. Every CH stick, rudder, throttle, and yoke I've ever had has been solid as a rock and lasted years. I wish I could say the same about my TM Cougar HOTAS and my TM pedals. Absolute shite. Cheers! Gary
  10. Thanks you so very much for posting this video. I am another grateful user of your A-10 Helios files and I look forward to making the Huey as enjoyable, thanks to you. Cheers! Gary
  11. In this example, "best" is in relation to time: Rate of climb is a ratio of altitude gained per unit of time (example: feet per minute). So, flying the "Best Rate" speed in a climb will, all other things being equal, result in the shortest time to reach a given altitude. Another metric sometimes used to define a climb is angle, which is a ratio of altitude gained per unit of distance (example: feet per nautical mile). So, flying the "Best Angle" speed in a climb will, all other things being equal, result in the shortest (forward) distance covered to reach a given altitude. Best rate is flown when you want to get upstairs as quickly as possible, while best angle is flown when you have to get over an obstacle - like trees or buildings at the end of the runway. Cheers! Gary
  12. Damn: I forgot about DST and that I'm now 5 hours, and no longer 4 hours, behind UTC... I just decided to buy 2 more modules (P-51 and Combined Arms) and saw that I'm too late: Missed the end of the sale by about half an hour. That's what I get for procrastinating... Sucks to be me :-/ Oh well, there'll be other sales, right? Right? Cheers! Gary
  13. Fleet Defender Jane's Longbow One of the Aces series (I think) had a B-17 that could be filled with real people. etc., etc., etc. I'm waiting. Patiently. OK, only semi-patiently (grin). Cheers! Gary
  14. He kept telling you guys that the 29's dish was smaller... heh Gary
