Hey razo+r; thank you for responding. However, my post is not as clear as it should have been--sorry. First, I meet or even exceed the hardware requirements. Secondly, what I ment to ask was, what other Hardware/software is required, e.g., connection software, speech/communication software/hardware, type of Mic and/or Headphones, etc.? Hey brothers and sisters; Can we all get together and ask ED to collect a few of the in-game video clips, from the beta testers, and show them to us. Maybe a video a week could by release just to show us what we have paid for. I bet that will stop some of the bitchin' going around.

Beta testers Hello brothers and sisters; I hate to be a doubting Thomas, but are there any Beta testers testing the Carrier module? Moreover, are the testers making ingame video for the buying public? I love this simulator (not a game) so much, I just realized, I have broken my cardinal consumer rule: never buy sight unseen or in this case untested. I know ED gives us videos, but are there any videos made by anyone other than the DCS creators? Please forgive me if it sounds like I am nagging.

Hello brothers and sisters; can any of you please point me to the most recent in-game videos of any of the Super Carriers? I was just thinking, I pre-purchased the Carrier package (good price since I own F-18) and yet I have never seen any in-game video, especially with the dynamic scenery (being a Business Major, I forgot about the power of Marketing). I am sure there is footage, out there, about these carriers, I just do not know where to look. Again, could someone point me in the direction of recent in-game footage of the new carriers.

What is your settings Hey JG14 SMIL. I am not quit sure what you mean. However, in the DCS Audio tab, I have all setting to Default (Main Audio Out, Headphones, Voice chat output, and voice Chat input) except the last option--Microphone at Multiplayer start--which I have set to"Push to Talk." What are you settings?

Hello everyone. I am using the VoiceAttack with DCS World. I have my sound output to my headphones. However, when I issue a command, e.g., "Request Startup," the answer or sound comes through my external THX computer speakers and not through the headphone. How can I get all sound, or in this case, radio responses to come through my headphones. My headphone is the noise cancellation type and I would have never know the sound was coming from my external speakers had I not took off the headphones while the radio response was being given.

Re-direct sound I am using DCS World F18 with VoiceAttack. I have my sound setup to output in my headset/mic; however, when I issue a command, e.g., Request Startup, the answer (sound) comes out of my THX external computer speakers rather than my head set. How can I get all sound to come through my headset, including any response after I issue a command. Moreover, how can I keep the text from my issued commands, and the answers from showing up in the upper left of the screen--I now have sound and no longer need the text.

Hi brothers and sisters, I have a question for you. Because the Thurstmaster HOTAS system is a little too expensive for me, can the Trurstmaster throttle be used with any other stick, like the Saitek X52 or must the Thrustmaster pair be the only option for stick and throttle use? Sorry Hi Fri13. Sorry I was unclear; but I have a HOTAS. Do I need a piece of hardware to replace the Valve controllers. In other words, can I play DCS with only a headset and one base station?

I want to buy the Valve Index. However I can only afford the headset and one base station. Can I use a Play Station controller in place of the Valve Index Controllers? I only fly DCS at the moment.

I am using Viacom Pro for DCS and I just got my Plantronics Headphons and Mic set up; that is, sound is coming thru headset and mic transmission is going thru the mic--good. However, whenever I give the voice command "Interrogate" the sound shifts to my external speakers and not thru my Plantronics Headset. Would anyone know what setting I need to make to get "Interrogation" sounds to come thru my Headset?

Hey Driskill, Are you suggesting the Reverb would better suit my needs. I am a 67 year old retiree, who loves flying and more specifically, DCS. At the moment, sitting and flying is all I need. I never considered the Reverb, tell me more please.

Hello Brothers and Sisters, I am considering buying the Valve Index VR Headset. All I do is sit while flying in DCS World. Do I really need the two controllers and the 2 Lighthouses--I could use that money to finally buy the Thrustmaster hotas warthog flight stick. Any advice?

I realized that after flying DCS for many years, I have never used my knee board , except for testing it. How can I replace ALL the knee board content, with stuff I can use, like a list of procedures:Startup, Bomb dropping, etc. (I have this laminated list of procedures, on my desk, near the computer, I used when flying)? I don't want to erase the stock knee board content, but I do want that data placed in another folder so that it won't come up when I press Shift/K or K. What I want to come up, when I press Shift/k, are a list of procedures like startup, and bomb set up. Is this at all possible?

Hello my brothers and sisters; I turn to you once again (thanks for getting me up and running with VR). I just got the Odyssey Plus last week. The VR is outstanding (I can not believe what VR has done for DCS). However, it may not be worth the trouble; here is why: Every time I am finish playing DCS, I have to re-booth to get the head set to work again. Moreover, I get this message that the head set is asleep--and it won't wake up. Sometimes, even before I complete the Start-up procedure (I love this process), the Headset cuts off and I have to re-boot. To top it off, I must disconnect the HDMI in order to shut down the headset. The $299.00 price was way too good to be true. But, could any of you tell me of another VR headset to buy that is comparable, in as many ways as the Odyssey Plus and not cost more than $500.00 and solves the problems I am having? I still have two weeks to return it. If there isn't Windows software, presently in the works, to fix all of these small, but annoying problems, I am going to send this one back. Comments please!

I always get "your headset is sleeping." But, when I click Wake Up, it does nothing. How can I wake up my headset without re-booting? I have WMR, Samsung Odyssey Plus.
