Several times I have come back, after a day or so, to the campaign only to be placed in missions I have already successfully completed. This last time, after about a week of playing, I was sent back to the very beginning. Does this campaign require one to do all training missions in one sitting? Can one select a mission out of order and do just that mission?

What causes Hydraulic failure in the F-15? I get it often during take-off.

I just bought the f15c basic flight training qualifications ($4.99 at http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1509604/) I have yet to get a email with further instructions as well as I am not able to open or unzip the downloaded file. Any suggestions?

I recall, when flying Falcon 4, there was a clock timer which let you know whether you were on time, late, or early in arriving at your waypoint. Can this information be ascertained, with the DCS F-15, and with a relative degree of accuracy?

Hi guys, I would like to know if the old DCS World 1.2 F-15 Training Mission and the Fighter Weapons School will work in DCS 1.5? When I downloaded and installed the two, it created a DCS World 1.2 directory. If they do not work in 1.5, is there a training section being prepared for DCS 2.0. I really hate to buy the F-15C 16-2 Red Flag Campaign without completing some form of basic flight training in the F-15. What are your suggestions?

What are the key combinations to change the setting?

Every since I upgraded to 1.5.2, my Track IR5 does not recognize the Center and Pause commands. Everything else works fine. I have tried changing the commands to letters and characters but no joy. When I am not in DCS, the two commands work perfectly. But, as soon as I get into DCS, they no longer operate, which is frustration when I am in the game and need to re-center the cockpit. Any suggestions? By the way, Track IR5 works with all others games.

I was prompted to change my password, for numerous reasons, and a notification email came in from DCS. I tried to change my password but this came up "The password must contain at least 8 symbols, contain Latin uppercase letters (A to Z), contain Latin lower case letters (a to z), contain digits (0 to 9). The first part is very confusing "...must contain at least 8 symbols." Does that mean, e.g., ^%$#@^&*, actually 8 symbols in the password? I gave a password with 1 symbol, 1 number, 1 uppercase letter and 7 lowercase letters and it wouldn't take. What am I doing wrong?

DirectX problem Thanks Jcbak. However, my assumptions were wrong and the replaced files were identical to the ones I have, meaning, that did not solve my problem. I did further investigate the autoupdate log and found this sole error message: "ERROR: distr/DirectX/DXSETUP.exe failed with code -21." Perhaps that can give a clue to the problem. Keep in mind, DCS World 1.2 works flawlessly. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. By the way, I do have DirectX 11 installed and have never had a problem with it any games. System: Windows 7 Ultimate, Service Pack 1 Build 7601, Intel® Corei7-2600 CPU 3.40GHz, 8 GB memory, Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti.

However I have traced the problem to the "Run.exe" file in the DCS OpenBeta directory and the DCS.exe in the bin directory. initializing both of these files gives me a program is damaged massage. Does any of you think it would help to ask that those two files be emailed to me and then replace my damaged ones? If so, can someone email me the run.exe and the Dcs.exe files to <removed>

As an Option I am sure that many of you are computer savvy. However, there are many of us who are not (just look at the number of people, on this site, who are unable to get the program installed) and are willing to pay the extra for a hard copy. As for the time in mailing and the out datedness of the program upon receipt, let us be reminded first, there are some of us who are willing to pay extra and wait for the mailing and second, out datedness is irrelevant, i.e., the program's updater will update as soon as the program is installed and initialized. However, I will not hold my breath for a hard copy, rather, I will attempt to acquire more and better computer skills; maybe in a few months I'll be better skilled at complex installations. I love this simulation.

[NO] CD Pack Will there be a CD pack available? A lot of people have problems with the downloads.

Same Here After 3 clean installs the program installs but won't start. It says "Can't Run, The Program is damaged, repair or reinstall."

Three times I have downloaded, re-downloaded and installed DCS World 1.5 (downloaded all 7packets). The installation goes fine; but each time I try to start theprogram I get "Can't Run, The Program is damaged, repair or reinstall." I then go to the command prompt, then the directory and type, from the "bin" directory: dcs_updater repair--it goes through the repair motions; I try to start the program again and I get the same results, Can't run. My System specs:Windows 7 Ultimate, Service Pack 1, Intel ® Core i7-2600K CPUat 3.40 GHz, 8 GB of Ram, 64 bits operating system, Nvidia Gforce GTX 550Ti, 4049 MB ram, 1680x1050, 32 bits. What am I doing incorrectly?

Scan Zone Thanks guys. I figured it out. I had both the slider and a knob mapped to RShift/. or ;. One of them was turned all the way up preventing the other from operating properly. Again, thanks a lot for your help.

Help please. In the F15, whenever I try to lower my scan zone range, so that I can detect a far away target below me, the range automatically jumps to some high numbers. E.g., my scan zone is between 35 and 20 (35,000 AND 20,000 FT), I try to lower (RShift/.)it maybe to 10 to 20, it jumps back up to the 35 to 20 range; this happens each time I try to lower the scan elevation. The result is that, enemy fighters get much too close, because I could not detect them at their lower altitude.

I need some help with my Radio. I dial in the correct freq. for the airfield, switch to TR and MAN on the VHF AM radio. I then hit \ and get "Interphone" at the top of the Menu. What do I press to get the FM radio so that I can get permission to start up my engine?

Rongor, it seems as though I mistakenly jumped into an A-10A and that was the reason the cursor did not work properly. Hi Griffon26. Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, Ctrl/c is for the canopy and LCtrl/c does turn the mouse cursor to a yellow cross, but the cross/cursor can not click any of the knobs--it stays the same yellow even after passing over a knob. Shouldn't the cross turn green when over a knob?

I have just started back playing A-10C (can't wait for FA-18 to drop bombs); however, this time I am playing with TrackIR. For some reason, every time I go into the game I no longer have the mouse pointer, which I need to click cockpit nobs. What is it that I have not clicked on or off? Thanks in advance.

Why is that sometimes my turning radius, on the F-15, is so wide I can not make a U-Turn on the runway? Sometimes I even run off the runway while turning off of it because a tight enough turning radius is not possible.
