Same, I was playing fine the other day, no changes on my end with respect to install/uninstall, PC components. I have to say I continue to get more and more discouraged and annoyed but the constant bugs, crashes DCS offers patch after patch.

I was just saying on a server today, even if you guys implement a half a$$ IFF until the proper system is ready to go. IFF is a must, it's really too bad some half-baked version wasn't released with EA.

You Sir, I could kiss. Thank you! That's exactly what I did without realizing it.

Modifiers Not Registering I have a TM Hotas Flight X stick/throttle and the modifiers are not registering correctly. I will assign button 5 (mod) + POV UP, then if I hit a non-modifier button and then say button 6 (mod) + POV UP it will not register the button combo or it will go back to button 5 + POV UP (not button 6 + POV UP). Also, I can't assign the rocker throttle button as an axis for airbrake. This should be added as it was functional this way for the A-10c.

Thanks guys, I think it may have been more a double input issue on my joystick. Since remapped, still testing.

Right Shift + "L" for cockpit electrical systems ? Radar "I" only after power on and in air.

Hello, I've been having mixed results lately and trying to troubleshoot what I'm doing wrong. I find TWS is switching to STT when I want it to stay in TWS to not "spook" my target or enable multiple target tracking. I have radar on, I go to BVR mode, in TWS mode and use 120B or 120C. I hit the lock button once, not twice as you would for STT mode. I find some times it works as it should and others it switches to STT. I've found less success in multiplayer and better results with TWS working properly in single-player. What am I missing? Do I have to do a certain order of activating or it won't work? Will TWS not work properly if it's at a certain range out, or the enemy aircraft is a certain type with some sort of different technology? Any help would be appreciated in making TWS work consistently so I can own the skies.

Future DCS performance ATI/Nvidea

Don't hold your breath, ED is not going to favor one company over another, especially without any type of partnership that would include benefits. You will have to wait and see. Sure they can say AMD well see a large improvement but with the engine change, both should regardless. -
Public inquiry. What is your PC video card?

For sale. Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog
Goose_Man replied to Djoubs's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Condition? actual pictures of product for sale other then the companies PR photos? -
Played a bit the other night with my A10C and the new 14.4 certified. Everything was buttery smooth on my MSI R9 290. No one should base their purchase around the GPU and performance hit in DCS anymore! Can't wait for EDGE.

My apologies, 13.12, typo

Awesome news, I had a Nvidia 560Ti but recently upgraded to a MSI Gaming r9 290 and love it. I saw a substantial improvement in overall smoothness compared to the 560. That said, I won't update drivers until 14.4 certified (currently 13.12). How long though until they switch from RC1 to full release (estimate) ?

The problem is getting developers to adopt this technology and use it in their titles. The other thing is this will probably only be implemented on new titles leaving all the old classics out. I can't wait for better positioning and quality of sound, it's the one technology that hasn't made any headway and if anything has gone backwards since DX9. Unfortunately we all wanted it yesterday

EDGE will help, not regret the R9 290 I played a lot of DCS A10C on my 560Ti and it was fine but I just recently bought an R9 290 (get it next week). DCS World currently runs DX9 and AMD has essentially dropped any specific support for DX9 engines. This makes Nvidia perform better as they have strong DX9 drivers but that's not to say AMD won't be in the lead when EDGE is released (hopefully within 2 months). EDGE will run on DX11 and AMD have spent a lot of time and effort in the drivers for DX11 titles. Only improvements to come as well with the driver tuning from the new R9 chips. Don't sweat it, AMD has made a great performing, bang for your buck card with the R9 290 and drivers will only improve it. Worse case scenario it doesn't run as well on DCS World DX9 with it's counter parts from Nvidia and you wait a couple months before AMD make use of the EDGE engine running DX11. Congrats on the new build!

DCS World running extremely low fps

A GTX 770 is perfect for DCS and your budget you're looking at. Since it sounds like your not tech savvy and looking at overclocking anything, see if you can find something in your budget that's factory overcooked (most are from third party vendors). Company is your choice, comes down to personal experience and warranty policy really. Gigabyte, MSI, ASUS are all companies I've supported and can recommend in regards to GPU. Not to say others wouldn't be a great choice to. Good luck, happy gaming. Nice rig minus the GPU! -
What would you like for one of your 780(ti?)

Question about Thrustmaster T-Flight Hostas X
Goose_Man replied to _Shamrock_'s topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
If you are serious about this sim I would not get the Thrustmaster X. I currently have it and I'll be buying a Warthog soon. The TM X doesn't offer really any of the basic buttons needed for such an in depth sim like DCS. If you are playing basic ones like Arma series, MS Flight, Battlefield then this will be fine. If you are looking at DCS then look at something with hat's. If the budget is there then the Hotas Warthog, if not then you can find something nice in the $150-300 (Cdn) range if not cheaper if you look at second hand. Side note, quality and design for the price is great for this stick/throttle but again very limited for DCS. You'll be looking to upgrade in no time.
