  1. Hey guys. I'm working on the textures all day today. Is there a simple or easy ways to make the specular maps within the main texture file? i.e within my F14D_Nose file. Like if you look at the texture maps that you can get from the dcs website to reskin planes.
  2. We are still very far off on the completed module, but I am hoping to push out a limited number of the current project.

  9. For the wing sweep, a friend of mine already has that coded into a beginning point of an afm. We have been picking apart the 16 afm demo for a while now. Now, I've been through the 33's control input.lua's and taken the probe and hook lines and added them into the tomcat systems line under the keyboard. Lua. Is that all I really should have to do? Or is there more to it since those lines didn't make the animations go. I hear the sound for them go off, but no visual movement. And the hook and probe were both tested in model viewer and on top of the su33

  11. So work is kinda picking up again. Started model work on the pilot and rio nd will soon be getting them animated and the textured!
  12. Also, for some odd reason, the animations for the tail hook and refueling probe won't work when the plane is in the standalone module but they work when the plane is renamed as the SU-33 and flown in place of the SU
  13. Work has slowed to crawl this past month or so. Having a second job has really taken the wind from my sails. Today is the first day where Scratch and Myself are sitting down(as we speak) to continue work on both the sfm and hopefully start work on the afm and getting some pilots into the plane as well!
  14. So this mod will actually be able to be flown next to the A model tomcat! We aren't replacing a thing haha. I was very sad when IRIS canned their tomcat for DCS world, which is why I'm getting help from friends and people from around the community to help bring it to life! There isn't much to tell about our flight model right now except that it is currently an sfm.. hopefully more soon!

  17. Haha, thanks! So far, data of any kind to be used in a flight model is quite hard to come by for this plane in particular. I have even reached out to some people here in my state who have a way of obtaining said data and they are coming up short as well..
  18. Haha they are nearing indeed Kiwiknight! Initially plane is going to be pretty much civilian until we get everything like the flightmodel and pit in place! :D Right now, progress is a little slow due to a second job, but once I am accustomed to it, I'll start learning some coding to start work a flight model.

  20. Also, If anyone knows where one can obtain a table of lift and drag coefficients for this plane? I've been looking and reading for five hours now and nothing.
  21. So a little more progress has been made. I correctly positioned the second engine, added the engine exhaust, corrected wheel positioning a little and added the planes fuel load capacity and the planes weight. It fly's like a whole different beast!
  22. That would be awesome!!!! As for the model, I have a much more detailed and higher poly 3d model, the down downside is I haven't received permissions to use it

I haven't mad the map for the tanks as of yet and my theory is that there needs to be more layers on the textures.. cause the missing textures thing goes away depending on the angle you look at the plane... cause under the texture you see the missing texture map wrap lines.. so that causes me to suspect the textures need more layering and specular maps?
