Agree with 2 previous posts. Recommend putting them at runways or move the FARPs to location without the light/ telephone poles. it screws the Viggen guys too -

The Java FARP needs some unit placement love. trucks are spawning under the pad and then we cant shoot them. -

Object placement bug. Helipads at Hataldon Farp have a train track running thru them. The accompanying Train electrical wires above the tracks are a hazard. -

Gazelle was doing it, but not as frequently as the huey. Just checked it offline, same pause in the huey. -

I can't tell if it's a bug yet, but in the huey, i'm getting this "heartbeat" like frame stutter on the server. I'm waiting on more players to confirm this. It happens, then 15 secs later (according to the cockpit clock) it happens again, then a minute or so will go by and then "hit," then 15 secs, and another "hit". The other pilot with me said it was happening to him in the huey and MI-8, but not the a-10, or M2k -

@ CrirBob - What are the Server setting in the Detection.Lua? visual_detection = { terrain_LOS_test = true, Earth_curvature_LOS_test = true, objects_LOS_test = true, trees_LOS_test = false, <-------is that set to True to keep the AI from shooting at us thru the trees? trees_LOS_test_T4 = true, It sucks sneaking up to a target only to have bullets or a rocket suddenly come thru the trees from the AI -

Have naval assets/targets been brought up before for use in BF? ships parked offshore defending a coastal areas or used for naval bombardment of inland targets? -
I have the same issue. Try to put the Coords for Caen in LAT LON into the NADIR in Nomandy.

Anyone have the IP of the BF server? I'm not seeing it in my multi-player server list. I was going to try to connect to it via IP. It's not there after I updated. ** N/m found it** 91.205.184.66:10308 **appears offline** -

If the player counts and minutes per-session were tracked, you'd see the Red/Blue player counts shift due to time zone and night of the week. Not all Squads play on the same night of the week. The guys I fly with seem to prefer Thursday nights and Saturday nights. They fly other sims other nights of the week. Try visiting the server on a different night of the week for a comparison. -

Don't you think it would benefit the player too? All of his spawn lag would occur as he joined the mission mid-session at a non-crucial time, instead of when another player spawns in a AC model that's new to his machine at some other random point during the mission. That's the point of always having them on the map placed at some far off corner. -

Loaded for whom? Is it possible to not despawn them and leave them on the map always? If player joins the server at the end of 2nd hour, i'd expect that when he joins, he'll get all AC models loaded to him. If they've despawned 5 secs into the mission, you haven't helped. -

To use the Oni FARP as an example, They seem to spawn in amongst the buildings, which I have no problem with, but do we know that they don't spawn IN the buildings? -

Thank you for the updates, Ciribob. I notice that Red can still sortie 4 troops ships from any place that has choppers and Blue only 2 (now 3, since update). Are there plans to make the amounts equal? **You answered my question with a "no" ** n/m -

You can also check the stats of that suspected player. It can give more data to see if they're legit or not. -

It's risky to loiter too long there, but I just let my AI chopper gunners find them. -

Correct. Big pauses are usually spawns. Warping is usually packet loss. I think some may have been using the term "lag" as an general term for both of these issues. -

Guys, guys, You are experiencing a problem that all multiplayer flight sims have had since the beginning. I'll give an example how to easily replicate what your experiencing. Any time the sim suddenly asks your computer to render something new, you'll take a hit. When you join the server, Blue is flying AC type 1 & 2, Red is flying type 2 & 3. You pick AC type 3 and spawn in. No one takes a hit because everyone else is already rendering AC type 1,2 & 3. Everyone is having a grand ole time and a new player joins and selects AC type 4 and spawns in. Suddenly all those other computers are being asked to render this new thing that wasn't on before. That's what your seeing. We used to try to lessen this by preloading the AC types as statics lying around the field or having the AI versions of them flying off in a remote corner of the map. Yes you took hit, TJ, when I spawned in a Mistral because I was the 1st and only one fly it that was new to you. Yes you took a hit when Hollywood spawned in an F-5 because it was new to your computer. All the other AC types were already rendered by your computer when you joined. I rarely get hits because not as many people fly the Gazelles. When I join all the other AC types are already in play. Try over the chat. look and see what AC type isn't already in play, select it, warn those in chat your about to spawn, and do it. Then collect results. This also goes for ground units, too. Everyone is flying around dog fighting and suddenly the rotor heads start spawning in. With choppers comes the spawning of new ground units that your machine will have to start rendering; crates, troop types 1,2,& 3. Kubs etc... Mission design can lessen these issues -

There were no issues in previous rounds with them. Why would that module stand out vs all the others? There were in before the Viggen, if I recall. We all just have to keep in mind that "Correlation does not imply causation" with this issue and others being addressed in this thread. What is the design goal, if I may ask? -

What does that mean? Also Bugs: * troop transporting slots not equal (Red can sortie 4, Blue 2) Red has 2 troop ships, Mi-8 & UH-1 Blue has 1, the UH-1 * Gazelles spawn overweight Gazzelle M - spawns with %100 fuel (should be %67) and 4 missles Gazzlle L - Spawns in with %100 fuel (should be %92) and full weapons Mistral - Spawns with %100 fuel and empty weapons. * Krasnya FARP, unable to Rearm and Refuel any chopper. (on Blue, at least) side effect - unable to fix the status of the Gazzelle's spawn status mentioned above. Makes Mistrals useless there since they spawn empty. *Arhipo FARP. default Red units are unarmed/defenseless *Novoros Runway has no Blue AC slots
