  1. Okay will try that out. Thanks for the heads-up. Avio
  2. Just bought the awesome Huey and saw in manual a United Nations UN Livery model but not sure how can that be loaded up. Tried creating a mission but there is only selection of models by countries. No option for UN. Hope someone could help point the way. Thanks. Avio
  3. Thanks for the input Rodd. I have mine set to 25% and the control feels pretty good.
  4. Also noticed the both Stall warning volume knobs rotate all round with no stops, and the volume seems unaffected by whatever setting of the knobs. In another case, making requests to ATC such as engine start and takeoff didn't hear back any response from ATC. Was there supposed to be a response, or it's the volume knob issue?
  5. You're right Tom. That was what I meant. Strange that yours is okay. For me, I have to assign left one to right, and vice-versa. No problem at all with the A-10C though. Wonder what could be the issue. Avio
  6. Using a default joystick curve setting (straight line with zero percent), I find the F-86 to be very unstable and difficult to fly precisely. However, after setting the curves to 25% it becomes a lot easier to manage. Is 25% setting a good representation of the real F-86 in terms of handling? Avio
  7. Not sure if anyone else observed this -- I have CH pedals and noticed the left and right toe brakes have been reversed in the controller assignment. Hope this gets fixed. Avio
  8. Thanks everyone for your input. Nice to know the F-86 is well modelled. One question is -- if the mentioned wing-flex / damaged under high-G are implemented, then why only have this effect showed up only on the left wing? Would it be more realistic to have it showed up occasionally on the right wing as well (producing a right roll)? Would appreciate if there could be further input. Thanks. Avio
  9. Just bought the F86 and noticed there is an uncommanded left roll after a while of flying. This mission is the freeflight. It started out flying straight for a while, but after some maneuvering around, the plane starts to want to roll to left on its own. My joystick and rudder are all showing correct calibration. In fact, flying the A10C straight and nice is no problem. Similarly all my other sims like F4.0 and FSX all are okay. Hope someone could help shed some light here. Thanks. Avio
  10. Thanks folks. About the stickiness issue, does it set on after a while of use? Is it serious? I remember owning a Saitek X52 and after a year or so the stickiness was so bad that I had to throw it away. As for the strong center detent of the stick, is it similar to the real thing in the real A10C? And the throttle lifting past the detent, I read from SimHQ review that one could actually just ram it past them instead of having to lift it up. How easy is that? The Black Mamba sure looks interesting. How much is that? Where to buy from? Thanks.
  11. Am thinking of buying the TM Warthog HOTAS, but read that there is a rather strong center detent on the joystick, such that it takes some force to move it away from center. For those with this HOTAS, any issue with precision flying, especially when making small, minute movements about the stick center position? I read that it is nearly impossible to fly helicopter with this because of this feature. But for fighters, does this pose any issue in terms of precise flying? Also, for the throttles, is it necessary to lift it up to clear the Idle/Afterburner detents? As I don't intend to bolt it to the table, I don't want to end up lifting the whole throttle up and off the table !! Thanks.
  12. Thanks fellows. I'm familiar with what trimming is about. But what didn't appear normal was the oscillations of the nose pitch each time following even a slight intended change of the nose pitch up or down. Don't see this happening in other fighter sims. I, would expect the onboard FCS to have taken care of most flight regimes to ensure solid precision on where one intends to point the nose at. Had noticed this in the earliest Lock-On package. Abandoned that because of this issue. Now years later on to FC3, and I'm sad to still see this in there. I would really love to fly the F-15C well in this sim. I do have the A-10C too, and thankfully, that one flies superbly and I enjoy it very much.
  13. I'm using DCS World, and FC3. The planes in question are F-15C, Su-27, and the Mig-29. They all exhibit that unstable nose pitching motion.
  14. Just bought the FC3, wanting very much to fly cool jets like F15C, etc. But I notice there is much nose pitch oscillation up and down whenever I try settling down after some maneuvering. Is this normal? Are the real jets like this too? It is like the nose pitch wouldn't settle quickly on the attitude that I want. For example, if I nose down a few degrees then neutralise stick, the nose would pitch up and oscillate a little before settling down. This makes for difficult precision flying / targeting. Any advice highly appreciated. Thanks. Avio
