  1. From the store page "The beta version of DCS Bf 109 K-4 will be available until the end of November 2014." I'm assuming there was supposed to be a "not" in there?
  2. damnit! Yeah I was but I just noticed that the chart I have in my email and the print out sitting in front of me are different.... the one I had in front of me is -100 TTC and its exactly .2 min less than the -220 (surprised that its less). So that means your guy's model is consistently spot on! sorry about that
  3. I'm having trouble posting the one chart by itself so I don't post the whole thing but It's the 1F-15A-1-1 fig B4-1. I used 43,000lbs, 30,000ft and 9.9 drag index (3.3 per pylon) I started the timer at brake release and factored in 30 sec for climb speed to be reached. I tested it about 10-15 times and they were all within a second or two of each other. I also tried at different pitch attitudes with pretty similar results.
  4. Ok, so I did a lot more testing and it turns out I wasn't doing it right... The results Im getting now are much more like what I was hoping for. I still haven't gotten the black and white answer Im looking for but I did find that the in game time to climb is about 15 sec off @ 30,000ft for me (I know... nitpicky). If you're interested I can upload a video of the tests just PM me.All in all the more I fly this thing the more impressed I am with the work you guys did, hands down most accurate f-15 I've seen in a game by far. And yes the FCF is done without pylons but the drag index on those are pretty small, they mainly affect the jet in a sideslip
  5. Thanks for the input lunatic, guess I didn't really look at it that way... anyways theres obviously alot of charts to reference in order to PROVE what I'm saying which will take a lot of work on my part. I didn't want to put in all the leg work just to have a moderator tell me to f off in the end.
  6. Lunatic, yeah man I really wanted to see if anyone would hear me out . But yes I agree with you and have access to all that information. Just want to see if It's even worth my time to dig through all the data and get a no sh*t "heres exactly what it's supposed to do" answer (thats alot of extra hours at work).
  7. So I was starting to doubt my F-15 knowledge (I am currently an F-15 crew chief with 12+ yrs on F-15C/D/E's) so I did some fact checking with one of the most experienced f-15C pilots I know with almost 20 years of flying F-15's and when I explained the AFM limits in game his response was "bullsh*t!" The F-15's unique ability to accelerate vertically is one the of the key attributes that the pilots use to gain the advantage in a dogfight and I simply can't come close to duplicating that aspect in the game. I realize that a video game will never be the same as the real thing but I figured I would would atleast bring it up in the hopes that the devs might fix it in a future update
  8. Bushmanni, the TO calls for a 350kts climb out @ 40deg pitch up. I tried it in a slick config (no tanks, missiles, etc). Even as part of the FCF checklist, it requires a max climb check which calls for a high speed vertical T/O to 15,000ft. I'll talk with some friends and get the exact airspeed numbers (probably should have done that first)
  9. I'm noticing that the F-15 AFM still feels like it lacks power. Vertical climbs can only be sustained for a VERY short period of time and it seems like anything above 25deg pitch results in a loss of airspeed at max power. I started digging through the 1F-15A-1 and tried duplicating the recommended takeoff procedure for MAX power and found it is impossible to do. Is this a miscalculation or intended? Not sure if this is the right place to post this question so any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated
