  1. Just wondering whether or not not you guys have posted your X-55 profiles for the SU-27 as I have just added the SU-27 to by collections and have been looking through the manual to get familiar with the various controls. And it would be nice to be able to have some profile posted in the forum or even uploaded to DCS website.
  2. Thanks all for your replied, Macross Im just looking at hosting a session on my pc so that every now and then when friend come online we can play missions with one another, cant afford a dedicated server. All I really need to know is how to set it up on my pc. Thanks for the advice. PS; I do play bf4 on the TOG server every now and then.
  3. How do you host a session from DCS World, I am new to this.
  4. Can anyone tell me whether or not there are gameservers for DCS World. And if so which site is best to rent a server. I am not looking for a dedicated server, just a host similar to gameservers.com where you rent a server with so many slots similar to Battlefield series. Also how do you setup a server for run DCS World in Multiplayer Mode.
  5. Hi Guy just going off topic a little, but I am wondering how do you set the x-55 Mode switch ingame or is it better to set the profile active prior to running dcs. I am trying to set up my ingame control setting to my X- profile, however I am just wondering whether or not to set the mode switches as swithes and when I use the different modes, I just add the switch. or is it better to just have the profile active, and not worry about programming the ingame control settings. ingame my mode 1 is recognised as joy_btn_32; mode 2 is joy_btn_33; Mode 3 is joy_btn_34. I am setting the ingame controls for the F15C. on my other aircraft I use the mode switch to switch between Nav, A-A and A-G. Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Just thought I would put it out there whether those who have a X-55 Rhino HOTAS system would be will to share there profiles they have created for there various aircrafts that they have and maybe post on the forum in one place. I am currently working on a profile for Black Shark 2, but once I have sort out why DCS World crash when I go to fire my weapons, and fined tuned it, I will post it here.
  7. That is good new Alkaline, just make sure you save your ingame setting for each of the throttle and stick. That should take care of any duplications.
  8. I had found that when I first got my Rhino Joystick, DCS World automatically assigns the same buttons for both my throttle and stick, so I carefully went through and re-assigned the buttons, to avoid any duplications. I then made a html of the configurations for each throttle and joystick. I also went through the process of making a profile using the saitek SST profiler, duplicating the assigments made in DCS World. However I never encountered any problems as alkaline has mention and I went straight to a powered USB HUB, and had no concernable issues at all.
  9. I have been working at creating a profile for BS2 on the Rhino Hotas System, however I have encountered that DCS World stops working when using Black Shark 2, when in the instant action mission destroy Insurgency. It will allow me to fire one missile, and then crashes when I go to fire the second missile. For a minute I thought it was the Rhino Hotas System that was the issue. So I reinstall the drivers and still encountered the issue. After testing the Hotas system on the SU-25T I enountered no problems at all so I am assuming that it is the Steams version Black Shark 2 Module that may have an issue. I check the file entegrity of the cache and everything came up ok. I have attached a ZIP file containing all the crash logs for today, DCS log and the dxdiag report as well as the file for my graphic card which is a GTX 760 2GB GPU. I am hoping someone can advise me what the issue is and how to fix it. Thanks in advance for your help. BlackShark2.zip
  10. Just wondering whether or not just to program the X-55 through profile setting instead of ingame or would it be better to only set up the functions that DCS world doesnt recognise through the profile settings and then use the ingame settings
  11. Hi Big Peltch, I have had the X-55 for several months now, and have not experienced any issues of ghosting as I always used it with a powered USB hub. My system is powered by AMD FX 4170 chipset at 4.2 GHz, motherboard is a Asus M5A78L-MLX Plus, 120 GB SSD, 2 TB Seagate Internal HDD, Seagate 2 TB EXternal HDD, 16GB DDR3 1600 Ram, Nvidia GtX 760 Graphics Card, with a Dick Smith 13 port USB HUB. The only real issue I have had with my x-55 is knowing what commands to map to the HOTAS. As DCS world doesnt recognised all the function of it in game. I havent experienced any ghosting what so ever. I dont think the ghosting is specific to just AMD Chipsets alone. I would test it out on a Powered USB HUB first. A powered USB HUB is cheaper than the intel chipset.
  12. I find the rotaries are ok, providing the games recognise it. If you want to use the rotaries, then its best to use the HUD profile especially in DCS World not sure about other flight simulators or games.
  13. I have been away from DCS World for a couple of days, when I came back, to fly my SU-25T, While playing the instant actions Target Practive, the 29T would not lock onto targets, neither would any of the other weapons, 9A4172, R-60. Previously they had lock onto enemy targets. As my copy of DCS world is on Steam, I did validate game files. and apparently 28 files were reacquired. However after this I still was not able to get my 29T to lock onto any targets. Can someone please advise me on this please.
  14. Hi I have been using a powered USB port to run my setup without any problems. Cannot guarantee you wont get ghosting using the system USB ports.
  15. Hi all, just trying to work out my profile for SU-25T and after some advise. I want to set the mode switch to control my NAV, A2A and A2G. Ingame these show as Joy_btn_32;Joy_Btn_33 and Joy_Btn_34. Should I set these up as switches ingame. What I am wanting to do is when in nav mode set up my toggle switchs for autopilot. At the moment I have the mode switch set up to switch between NAV, A2A and A2G. Or should I set the switches up in X-55 Profiler instead.
  16. I look forward to seeing 2.0 with bated anticipation.
  17. well hopefully 2.0.0 wont be too far away.
  18. I have noticed that the logbook doesnt keep accurate stats, like it should. I am a russian pilot flyng a russian Su-25T. According to the manual the logbook should record my stats under the SU-25T tab in the logbook. But when I go to look at my SU-25T tab, it shows that 12 enemy kill under the kill ratio, however it does not record, how many A-G or A-A kills under the SU-25T, but only shows it as a total. Before flying a mission am I supposed to click on the SU-25T for it to record the stats, or is it a bug with the logbook and will that be fix with the next update/upgrade.
  19. Just wondering whether anyone has experience using NVidia Surround funtion for muliple monitors. I have just upgraded to ASUS Geforce GTX 760 2GBOC-2DDR5 Graphic Card, and set up my three monitors.my left monitor is no. 2, my middle monitor is 1 and my Right monitor is 3. When I using the surround span function in the Nvidia control panel, o span the one screen images over three. I would have the modules icon on my left screen, picture of the aircraft in my middle screen and The menu selection on my right screen. The middle screen in my primary screen, but only want to use the 3 screen when actually flying a mission, but return to the middle screen when not flying a mission. I can get it to work ok with that way when not using the surround span. However I find that when I go to escape from mission and quite the game seems to freeze up or something thus forcing me to use Ctrl Alt Del. Can someone advise me on how to overcome this issue please.. Is it possible to use surround span and achieve the desored outcome. Any advise would be much appreciated.
  20. Thanks Exorcet, had another look at the mission and I didnt realise there was a hidden aircraft, I actually thought I deleted it. Also I set the task to ground attack, I think I need to look at the Mission Editor Manual again as I didnt see the task mentioned there. Once again thanks
  21. I have created a small mission, however the payload I have selected doesnt load in on the SU-25T. I selected an airfield and made it red, placed a SU-25T set to start on runway, set the waypoints and selected a payload. Placed a dummy target on a airstrip, set up a triggered zone to detect whether or not I had destroyed the target and if so display a message that says the target has been destroyed return to base. Saved it, then went to fly it. The SU-25T starts on the runway but without its payload. I will admit the payload is alittle over the top for one Hemtt vehicle. My plan was to slowly increase the number of targets, and build it up to a combat scenerios. But having no payload is not going to destroy the target. I have attached the mission file. Could someone have a look at it and advise me what I have done wrong Please. PTMUnguided Bombs1.miz
  22. I use one, but still trying to find the right configuration for myself. I am looking at upgrading to the saitek X-55 Rhino Hotas system.
  23. HI Foss, here are the youtube video links that I have been watching. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTIKr7TVHOE&list=UUP53XLqSzHCwIsN-YfakEQg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-_ZCiKZ4nk&list=UUP53XLqSzHCwIsN-YfakEQg&feature=share&index=8 I think my problem could also be due to not being able to get a smooth control on the joystick. Anyway thanks for your assistance.
  24. Thanks for your reply Foss, I re-mapped them again, and when I press enter I get a square box around the target, however the pipper doesnt stay fixed on the target like it does on the training videos I have watched on youtube. Maybe it just me, I dont really know. The mapping is there and show up in the options. Could it be my joystick thats the issue,
  25. I am current trying to master the employment of unguided bombs. I want to set ground stabilisation mode, once I near target and then use shkval to slew it more on target. I have mapped by joystick so that my button 8 is Enter which I am told will engage ground stabilisation mode. and then I can slew the target box over the intended target. However when in the training mission, neither the enter or button 8 engages ground stabilisation. I am flying the instant action, Target Practice. These are the steps I am taking. From cockpit view, I reduce speed, set stage 1 flaps, ten go to A2G mode. I turn shkval on [O], then when near the intented target with the pipper, the press button 8 [enter] putting it into ground stabilization mode and then I use button 9 and HAT to slew the target box over the target, however it wont go into ground stabilisation mode. I also tried to press the enter key to get it into ground stabilisation mode, but no luck. No sure why this is happening, any suggestion how to over come this would be appreciated. I am wondering whether or not I need to get a new flight stick and throttle. I will see if I can do a youtube or something on it so you can see what I am doing. Any assistance will be appreciated.
