  1. Just after some advise, when flying the SEAD mission I can log onto the first target with the KH-58U using the L081, however when I cannot lock onto the second target, is it because I have my ECM on. I have attacked the trk file. Any assistance would be much appreciated. SU25SEAD_1.trk
  2. ander35, when you fire your missile the plane become unbalanced due to the reduction in weight, and therefore you will need to trim the plane to counter that. I find that hard in a combat situation myself but I try to counter that with joystick movements. However the correct way is to trim the plane after firng your missile if there is roll present.
  3. I have encountered a rather strange situtation. When flying the aircraft below 400 mph I have sound but when I go above 400 mph the sound drops out. Can anyone advise what the situation for this may be. Much appreciated.
  4. unfortunately IonicRipper I have to agree with you about the ergonomic of the stick. Unfortunately I have not encountered any of the other problems you have had. DCS World doesnt recognise all the functions of the X-55, whether that an issue with DCS World or Saitek driver I do not know. DCS World doesnt recognise the different modes either, but they can be used as switch, I use them in my SU-25T for my nav swith A2A switch and A2G switch. but will endeaver to test them out as switches in the modifier sense. I have problem centering the stick, as my deadzone is set to 10. However I am not a full on sim pilot as I am still learning how to fly the SU-25T and Black Shark 2. Maybe when DCS World 2 is release some of the issues would have been addressed.
  5. Maybe reinstall the drivers again Insanatrix.
  6. Hi Insanatrix, this is an unusual issue, have has any problems with it as I use these hats all the time. Are you setting in DCS or the HUD. I know my hats H3 are recognised by DCS world as JOY_BTN20 to JOY_BTN23 and H4 are recognised as JOY_BTN24 to JOY_BTN27. These can be touchy, you need to make sure that when you add them to dcs that you are actually pressing the hat up and not up left or up right, as they will not be recognised. Which aircraft are you trying to setup.
  7. Hi washawtaw, Programming the X-55 in DCS World is not that difficult. 1.When you run dcs world make sure the X-55 is plugged in. 2. Go to options, select controls, select the aircraft you are flying. You should notice there are 3 columns, one list the keybinding, I for your X-55 throttle and one for your X-55 stick. If you have pedals then you will have a four column which will be for your pedals. 3. Program you s-55 in there respective column, program you throttle in the throttle column, stick in the stick column etc. 4. Above the columns is the clear categories, Save Profile as and Load Profile as. As you program your throttle and stick save the Profiles using the save profile as, and giving the file a name that is associated with the aircraft you are using it. You will need to do this for each aircraft. 5. Everytime you run DCS World you may need to load the profile for the aircraft to use the programmed controls in the game. Using the HUD. If you intend no using the X-55 HUD then you will need to go created the profile, and activate it through the X-55 HUD or through the profile icon on your task bar. You now you have activated the HUD Profile as the profile icon will turn green. When you run DCS World you will need to options then select controls, and your columns for Throttle and Stick will need to have Categories cleared and no programmed control for the X-55 at all. Otherwise you may encounter some conflicts. Once that is done you can use your X-55 in DCS World. Some pilots choose to mix, as some of the control on the X-55 dont function properly with DCS World, so they Use the X-55 HUD to program these controls, and not program them in DCS World. I have attached a file, that shows how DCS World sees the controls of the X-55 and it should help you know what button or switches they represent. DCS WORLDx55recognitions.pdf
  8. ChrisIhao, I didnt realise it was possible to use your ipad in DCS World, how is that possible.
  9. Thankyou for all the help you have given, much appreciated, Just one last them in regards to IAS Max and overspeed, was reading how to recover from it in the manual, I am just wondering whether I should assign both left and right throttle, and during normal operation lock them both together as it does say reduce the throttle to the affected engine while putting the other throttle to full to maintain rpms. At present I have both left and Right throttle lock and assigned as one throttle. Once again thanks for all your help given. PS. I good at making rotor blade salad. lol.
  10. Thanks for your reply I had been practicing using the datalink, to send commands to wingman, and everytime I tried to turn the helicopter to in tthe direction I want the wingman to go, the rudder would turn the helicopter and when I allow the pedals to return to centre the helicopter would return to the original direction if was facing prior to the desired turn. I understand that autopilot has 20% authority, and that I will be fighting against it, and have to trim the helicopter. When I am flying I roll and yaw, into the direction but on this occassion I just wanted to turn the helicopter towards the location while it was almost at hovering position. So I guess that means that I would need to have the helicopter facing the desired correction, and trim the helicopters to keep it facing that direction everytime I make a turn. Anyway I have attached my trk file of what I was doing in free flight. hopefully this will give you some idea what I was trying to do. Unfortunately I tend to lose my engines due to turbine over revving I think, so I still have to read the manual a little more so that I know the system better. BlackShark2Rudd.trk
  11. I am after some advise on how to stabilise the my rudder in BlackShark 2. The issue I am having at present is that when I turn the rudder to the right and I then return it to neutral position the helicopter will turn back to the left. I have tried to trim the helicopter. I think the rudder pedals which are Saitek Proflight Pedals not the combat one, are too sensitive, I have the tension on the pedal loose so that it can return to neutral postion once I take my feet off them. as a result I cannot trim the BS due to the rudder always wanting to turn the helicopter in the opposition direction after I have turn the BS in the direction I want. Do I tighten up the tension on the pedals, or do I do an axis tune and use a curve profile for the pedals, to stabilize them.
  12. The issue is resolved, the tutorial I was watching did not mention the Alt+\ once you are in the air. Kept referring to the communications menu. Thanks for all your advice and help.
  13. Thanks flagrum and Maverick, that solved the problems, just out of curiosity, have you had any difficulties with changing the weapons pylons, I have them binded to my hotas, however I cannot change between them nor access my external weapons. My hotas bindng are for the following: I or weapons selections inward stations y for weapons selecton outward stations.
  14. I have been watching alot of training video, and when I went in to play some of the missions I notices that I had access to my radio communications prior to take off and lost access once in the air. Has anyone encountered this issue previously and if so how to fix it or should I put the issues in the bugs and issues section. I was trying to practice using my wingman and the datalink system but could not due to the issue. Datalink was activated on the radio panel, turn on in the NAV panel, self ID set and select to com. Las set to las, master arm on. however pressing the \ button would not allow me to access the communications menu. I checked the integrity of the files all ok. so im baffled.
  15. I have a Geforce GTX 760 2 Gb
  16. Maybe they can introduce payware maps as well as campaigns.
  17. SnowTiger, if your throttles are locked together you should only get one JOY_X or JOY_Y. However if the lock is not solid one throttle may hit the top of the throttle before the other and you will get JOY_X if its the left throttle or JOY_Y if its the right throttle. However if both throttles that are lock together hit the top of the throttle range they you should only get JOY_Y, well that is my going from my experience.
  18. I have fixed the link to my image.
  19. Decibel DB> I have the rotary switch assigned without any problems. this is how your setup should look. I use the rotary on the throttle for my zoom view, on all the aircraft that I am currently flying.
  20. Ok for anyone that wants a copy of how DCS World control options sees X-55 control you can access it from here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/81875798/DCS%20World/X-55%20Profile%20Docs/DCS%20WORLDx55recognitions.pdf
  21. I have produce a document which show how DCS world recognises the controls of the Saitek X-55 Rhino HOTAS system. I think this will come in handy for those new to the X-55 and is attached. Just out of curiousity has anyone used the mode switches within DCS world to expand it further, and if so did you use them as switches or Modifiers.
  22. The scroll fwd and scroll bck is the rotary thats on the left of the throttle that you use your left pinky. I have also found that to not work very well, in DCS. Unfortunately there are no set default setups for the X-55 Rhino in DCS World. Other simulators and flight programs are starting to include profile for the X-55 Rhino. Star Citizen and War Thunder have profiles for them as does x-plane 10 and I believe FSX also have profiles for them. So may I suggest that if you have profiles for X-55 for various aircraft, that maybe you could upload both the DCS World Profile as well as your X-55 Profile. There have been a few members who have uploaded there profiles on the DCS website and I would like to thank them for the time they have but into there documentation. DCS World Profiles can be saved and you upload them the same way as you do X-55 Profiles, However they will have long names with them stating whether or not its for the throttle or the stick.
  23. You can use both the hud and the DCS control setup together, just need to make sure they are not both assign to same control otherwise there may be some issue. The control that dcs will not recognise, can be programmed throught the HUD, eg Rotary switches. Only issue with that, is you need to make sure you have the right hud profile activated, when changing aircraft.
  24. Have been working on my profile for the black shark, however I seem to come across an issue where I went to trim the black shark, and my security software saw it as a major threat and deleted x-55 software and driver. So I have gone back to working on the profile, hopefully it wont be too long before I have one ready to post.
  25. It may not be a X-55 that is the problem, I have not experienced this problem with my X-55 but with my thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X system. But it tends to be the game that freezes and not the pc when I unplug it. Do you have other devices connected to the USB Hub as well. Could be a onflict between but most probably not, but it worth a check I Think.
