The loading times are only large for me the first time I boot DCS, after that it just loads within 10 seconds or less. I mean missions and everything.

I think they refer to the TB Written versus the published limit of each model.

I run 1.5, cant talk about 2.x since never installed it.

thanks for all the kind replies. I guess my biggest concern comes from living in a third world place, where getting or replacing one of these stuff is a real effort. Also, not knowing enough about SSDs. I did the basics of "SSD protection manual" like activating trim, ahci, no restore, no defragmentation. But still using pagefile and other stuff that is recommended but not proved. So all of this makes me wonder about wear too.

I my self was very interested in this a while back and did not succed. The weapons we carry on the a10 are simply not made for ship strike, you are either not going to harm the ship at all and/or get shot during the intent.

I dont think thats gonna happen, SSDs here cost too much, in fact it was a big effort to buy this evo. On a different post I made, Wader8 just wrote this: That drive could be the ssd if I change :D

Hi, thanks. My ssd has 75 TB lifetime, i had it for 6 months with no games on it and it wrote 0.8TB already, I dont even do a lot of downloads. So that was why I was concerned. I always heard about not putting games on an ssd :(

Will DCS World installed on an SSD wear the drive? Or does it just read? I have an 850 evo and would like to know if its gonna wear by playing dcs on it. thanksss

That spawn thing never happens to me, but the viewing around thing does just once

ive attached a screenshot of my settings. i dont have stutter per se. it only happens once per game as i stated. game runs at 180 fps all the time. but i dont understand that one time stutter :(

but i have the preload at max.... shouldnt it load it ahead?

Hi ED! Is there any particular reason why Argentina is not on the countries list? We have a lot of latin american ones like Chile, Brazil, Venezuela and Mexico, but no Argentina. We have seen war (falklands) and there are a lot of Argentine pilots around DCS community. Is this something you can add in the near future? That'd be great! Thanks in advance for all the work!

Hi everyone, I have DCS 1.5 installed on an HDD and I have my OS installed on an SSD. Im seeing a lot of stutter (no matter what graphic settings) while circling around for the first time in external views, then it wont sutter again. Could this have anything to do with the fact that I have dcs installed on a different drive than the OS? Thanks!

Based on this post and several others I encountered in this forum, I decided to wait for future updates and/or future modules, mainly because of the price/completion level ratio which I feel is a little bit high. In Argentina exchange in USD is a bit expensive so this ratio I mention is really important when buying a product, we need it to be finished otherwise is not very attractive. Thanks everyone for your answers.

thanks guys, I see there are mixed feelings around the community. I myself hate unfinished products charged at full priced (im not saying the Mirage is), I sometimes feel there are just too many modules and not a single one really finished. This is just a feeling, dont get me wrong, I might be wrong. That's why I asked about the Mirage. i'll see if I get it in the near future.

That's what i was afraid of. However the big changelog would suggest that they are in fact paying attention to the Mirage. Dont know what to do :notify:
