Yeah. By December and not by the end of December.
-
It does have the start-up procedure.

Thank you everybody at RAZBAM for your hard work. Even tho we didn't get ge module today I would like to thank you for all your effort you put into this module. I'm sure it is going to be great and all of us are going to enjoy it!
-
This module is truly amazing. Great work RAZBAM!
-
Where does it say that?
-
Go to the products page and see how many modules are still in beta... Some of them have been in beta for more than 1 year.
-
Weekend News says next week.
-
It's up to ED, not RAZBAM.

I think this is a bit wrong place for this. But no, I don't have the same problem. Hit me with a PM if you need help with the problem :)

That is how you start the engine but I'm sure that doing it by the book has more steps. That flight was without the INS. You are correct. I think Zeus said this earlier in some topic.

Was the radar switch on standby or on? It needs to be on standby for 5 minutes before turning the radar on.
-
Two more weeks? According to that it should have been released yesterday.

NTTR bug: Cold start at McCarran parking slot 07
Jansgi replied to gospadin's topic in DCS: L-39 Albatros
Try putting the parking brake on as soon as you are in the pit. -
I did some testing with different speeds and regardless of FFB or spring-centered the elevators are moving when trimming. The trim tab is working as it should. I didn't see it for some reason in the first tests I did
-
I know it should work like this, but atm only the trim tab was moving while flying but elevator was in the same position regardless of the trim. I don't see it working like this atm: Need to experiment on higher speeds to see if it works as it should.
-
I noticed that when I trim nose up the trim tab on the elevator pitches down and the other way around. I'm not an expert on aerodynamics but shouldn't it pitch up when trimming up and down when trimming down? The plane does pitch in the correct direction when trimming tho. If the whole elevator moves when trimming then I know this is the right behaviour but I only see the trim tab moving when trimming.

Could someone send me L-39 DCS manual?
Jansgi replied to WildBillKelsoe's topic in DCS: L-39 Albatros
You can find manuals in your game's main folder: \DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\L-39C\Doc -
After digging trough google and many youtube clips I have found 2 different procedures. 1st is where you prime the engine before cranking it and if it doesn't fire after a few rotations they prime more while cranking the engine to start it. 2nd is where they prime and crank the engine at the same time to start it. But I'd guess if you start it by the book/manual you prime the engine during the cranking.

Found in the manual page 75. 5. Primer Switch 5. PRIMER SWITCH. The Primer switch is used to prime the engine with fuel. The switch is spring-loaded and needs to be held ON (up) position to execute a prime. When the primer switch is held ON, fuel passes to the primer lines and into the induction manifold. Usually 3 or 4 seconds are sufficient to prime a cold engine. One second is usually sufficient for a warm engine. The engine should be primed only when it is turning over.

I did some testing with with failed hydraulics and as I predicted with the gear, you can't raise the gear anymore after extending them. With the flaps I noticed that you can retract the flaps after extending them with the lever in the 'neutral' or 'retracted' position.

That valve is the 'emergency tanks charging valve'. It is used to charge your emergency air tanks in case they are empty. Now I believe this is only used on the ground by the ground personel but looking at this picture you can see that it connects the main air tanks to the emergency air tanks so in theory you could use the pressure in your main air tanks to pressurize the emergency pneumatic system. I'm not sure tho that the main air supply has enough pressure to do this. Canopy jettison is the red handle above the ejection handle which you push forward to jettison the canopy and then pull the ejection handle to eject. The plane has two hydraulic systems which are 'utility hydraulic system'(gauge located between the emergency valves for you flaps and gear) and 'lateral control hydraulics system'(gauge located in front of your throttle). Utility hydraulic system is the one controlling your flaps, gear and air brakes. Now in case you lose your utility hydraulics you can extend your gear and flaps with the emergency pneumatic system(pressure gauges located in front of the emergency valves). Both your gear and flaps have separate air tanks. Here are the steps to operate flaps/landing gear if your utility hydraulics fail. (Note that this is my way of doing this and these steps are made by my understanding how the system works. 1. Rotate the 'emergency control valves' for your flaps and gears fully open. This pressurizes the system. 2. Lower your flap and gear handles fully to the extended position. 3. Pull the 'emergency gear handles'. (I believe this releases the hydraulic locks connected to the extension cylinders.) Notes: - First check that your emergency pneumatic systems have pressure. If they don't, open the emergency tanks charging valve. If this doesn't work prepare for a belly landing. :joystick: - Everything I said including the guide is based on what I have read from here and here.

You have to hold down the drop button(LH60) on first try until you hear the sound that its dropping chaff/flares. After that it works normally either by holding it down or pressing it once. Note that I don't know if it operates like this on the real aircraft or if its a bug. Also make sure you open the red cover before pressing it if using a keybinding for it. :smartass:
