  1. I wish wire snap was a thing. I can trap at 300 knots with no repercussions of doing so. My back cringes looking at it though!
  2. I have been trying to mod myself up a GunVal Sabre for a looooong time! Were you able to get the F2's guns to work without the sounds getting glitched out? Possibly even able to get it to work with the M39 sounds?
  3. I was already overheated at the start of the engagement and I was trying to do damage control for the majority of the fight. I was at maybe 8lbs of boost and 2650-2700 rpm the whole time (about 1/4-1/3 power). I knew that the engine would start smoking and seize up if I pushed it any further! As soon as I learn the spit a little bit more I will challenge you to a duel!
  4. I have yet to have any issues with taxiing, taking off or landing. I guess it just came naturally! Here is how I have my dead-zones and curves set up on all axis's Dead-zone 25 (My 3D pro extreme has served faithfully) Curves 30 Here is my taxi - takeoff procedure in the DCS Spit (real world results may differ) Taxi 1. Set elevator trim to one unit nose up 2. Taxi with full back elevator 3. Careful applications of the brakes and try to keep the thing pointed where you want it to go. Takeoff 1. Full back elevator and full right aileron 2. Advance the throttle to 8lbs of boost while maintaining directional control 3. As speed comes up start bringing the control surfaces to neutral 4. Fly it off of the ground in a three point attitude (or bring the tail up if you like seeing where you are going!) For landing, I found this video helpful when I first transition into the WWII prop airplanes before I got my 185.
  5. I am 90% sure that was me! I was in the server as SkywagonMan (signature should explain that one) and that was one of my first online sorties with the spitty. It is a difficult airplane to fly in combat as your engine wants to overheat literally 100 percent of the time even when your engine is set correctly (wasn't past 8lbs of boost or 2700 rpm the whole time...) Excellent flight Mr 109, hope to fly against you again in the coming days!
  6. Spitfires do not need hot starts! It appears as if the ground spawns work fine.
  7. Me excited! Going to be super fun to fly the spity with, maybe some wheel landings in my future? Thanks guys! Ryan
  8. Lies and Deception Clears throat, did you mean 3-5PM GMT time? Because that is 1500-1700 zulu... Only kidding!
  9. Ehhhh Blufor M2000's still have hot starts...
  10. I deserve it because my 3D pro extreme isn't neccisarily the best HOTAS on the block. Now only if you had a trackIR giveaway...
  11. After doing some testing with NASA6 here are are results. BLUE: BF109 ALG1 spawns fine BF109 ALG2 spawns fine FW190 ALG1 spawns fine FW190 ALG2 spawns fine P51 ALG1 spawns with broken flap on right wing P51 ALG2 spawns spawns fine RED: BF109 ALG1 spawns hard and breaks tailwheel (airplane is floating for NASA6) BF109 ALG2 spawns hard and breaks tailwheel (airplane is floating for NASA6) FW190 ALG1 spawns REALLY hard and technically has a prop strike FW190 ALG2 spawns REALLY hard and also has a prop strike P51 ALG1 spawns hard and breaks something (airplane is floating for NASA6) P51 ALG2 spawns hard and also breaks something (airplane is floating for NASA6)
  12. Loving the new update Mirknir! I found a few small issues regarding the "On Ground" spawning points. The Viggen (soon™) will be a lot of fun to mess around with on these spawn points. On the redfor team, my airplane settles to the ground very abruptly on spawn and it seems to either break my airplane or completely flip it every attempt (especially in the 190). Also, with the 109 there is no way to start it as the ground crew runs the inertial starter. Will the option to refuel be available to us at these spawn points?
  13. Sorry to revive an old thread but the F-5's M39s have really sparked my interest in the GUNVAL test Sabres. By any chance was this mod finished and released to the public yet? Ryan
  14. Hate to sound stupid, but... What is that thing that thingy thing, up on the top left during the engagement? Like an airspace box or something. Thanks
  15. I nominate DALEISHERE My good friend that I`m teaching how to fly in DCS.
