SATAC CW Week 50 - Finals! SATAC CW fans and participants, the grand finale between the 51st PVO Regiment and the 9g had all the hallmarks of a breathtaking SATAC finals! It was a clash of titans where G-suits were tested to their limits, engines roared at full afterburner, and every missile launch had the crowd on edge. The opening rounds saw 9g take an early lead, soaring high and fast with their precision-timed strategies that kept the 51st scrambling to respond. 51st PVO Regiment, veterans of the skies, adapted. After narrowly escaping elimination in the second round with just one airframe limping home with a bold tactical shift. Trading altitude for the weeds, going low and slow, hugging the terrain to stay hidden from enemy radars. The gamble paid off, and they clawed their way back into the fight! As the skies became a chessboard of manoeuvring jets and counter-tactics, 9g found their high-and-fast approach compromised by the 51st gritty determination. Forced 9g to adjust and switched to a low-and-slow strategy as well. But 51st earlier adaptation in close-combat, terrain-heavy engagements gave them the edge. The inception of SATAC dates back to 2011, and the tradition continues as we invite all competitive Air to Air squads to compete against the finest that DCS has to offer in a highly immersive and realistic combat environment. Our format is designed to promote the utilization of various aspects of the simulation, including different weapon types (ARH/SARH/IR), dissimilar air combat training (DACT), and the full range of modern DCS aircraft, each playing its unique role in SATAC 2025. There will be an engagement bubble centered on bullseye, which opposing squads must control to win the round. Once you enter the bubble, you must not exit until the opposing team is neutralised. Once you leave the bubble, you cannot re-enter. You will be warned as you approach the edge of the bubble. As an aircraft enters the bubble, a 5-minute timer will begin where all aircraft must be inside the bubble in that time. Any team with aircraft outside the bubble after the 5 minutes will forfeit the round. If aircraft take off with an invalid weapon and then fires said weapon or enters the bubble, that round is forfeit for the offending team. Once all gears have left the ground and the aircraft is airborne, any disconnected pilot or mishap will be considered as a loss. Matches will be best of 3 in the preliminary rounds and best of 5 in knockout rounds. AWACS support will be available during preliminary rounds only. No AWACS support will be available during final rounds, GCI support with LotATC is complementing the AWACS Flankers will have Fighter to Fighter data-link made available. Format for the single-elimination stage. Some items may be repeated from the main format post: Knockouts will have AWACS fed datalink disabled with human GCI support given through means of LotAtc.
