  1. Downloading? You never know, EOS or TWS on Su-27 might work. Never give up the hope :)

This is where FC3 Su-27 TWS gets broken, ED tried to model automatic lock in TWS which is made by computer in FC3. While in real life the lock is made by "HACY" where a human make decisions what to lock or not by closely following action of events and being involved in flights communication. Its very important that Su-27 get back opportunity to track targets in TWS without locking them automaticly, if there is automatic lock there must be manual as well. And since we don't have human controlled GCI the lock would be executed by the pilot not ground control. When my home computer making decisions on what to lock puts me in a big disadvantage compared to manual lock in TWS. I just can't understand why logic could not be applied to get around this problem we have now whit Su-27 TWS,

  6. I assume radar/IR guided missiles would suffer more by ground clutter then clouds. The lunch is executed at quite low altitude.
  7. Cant find anything about datalink in Su-27Sk manual, was looking for something called ALM-1, ALM-4/SPK-68, SPK-75 which I belive are the names connected to Su-27S datalink.
  8. Im talking about that it would be great addition to Su-27 capabilities if it had modeled data link/EOS/TWS/AFM Cobra and missiles that you can not evade by making 60 degrees pincer. If you want to bring in upgraded versions it would be great to face them at least in Su-27SM or even better. Since in my opinion its getting old to say that Russians had only 5 aircrafts of this particular type. The point here is that they had it, same as you try to convince me that F-15 had datalink.
  9. The problem here is if It would be Russian datalink that was not as standard then you would claim with all you have not to implement it in Su-27, not to mention that you can not find it in manual. I will have more competent people in avionics then me valuing your info on F-15 datalink.
  10. I have export version, is not the same as Russian. Ill try to dig up something interesting. You can aswell find datalink panel in FC3 Su-27 cockpit.
  11. I would like to point out that datalink for DCS Su-27S/SM is possible to model since we know how datalink panel look. Which features data link have would be very hard to know really, So taking a bias position there is pointless. Same as there is more R-27 data compared to aim-120. So there will be educated guesses done again to the point where dreams allow.
  12. Could you plz start another thread GG and show me how F-15C data link looks and where in the cockpit it is positioned. We can only guess what those datalink are cable of. datalink panel is in all Su-27S while in F-15 we don't even know how it looks. so it would be hard to model. Again if you have info on F-15 datalink make another LEVU thread where you can use your touchpad for it :). We need to draw a line witch times we are comparing to, like I said F-15C had several updates even if it didt change the designation to D, same story whit Su-27S. You have to compare the aircrafts from same time farme, not F-15s from 2007 with Su-27S from 86.

Stop spaming the thread, plz we are talking about Su-27 features not F-15 datalink that no one knows even how it looks. if you have info on F-15 datalink bring it forward in another thread. lunaticfringe take your F-15 mafia attitude to F-15 thread. We don't need you to teach us that having the possibility to take your aircraft to higher AoA then your opponent is for no use. LOL
  14. We are talking about Su-27 in here not that F-15 is the best fighter in all departments. So I would suggest that you stop hijacking the thread with your F-15 mafia attitude, make your own F-15 data link thread as you had before with LEVU. Whit believes that you are imposing more realistic simulated environment where you alway want something better but nothing equal, which there is. So plz make your own F-15 thread, we are talking about Su-27s datalink/TWS/EOS and aerodynamics in here.

They kept it because of obvious reasons, If it can take down F-15 with Aim-120C in simulated environment as FC3 where Su-27 don't have working TWS/EOS/datalink and ER-27 that can be avoided by not even making 60 degree pincer. Then in real life it would be even more capable and endure more threat because you just can't test milion times how to avoid ER-27. Same goes for the F-15 there is many thing that would improve it but we are talking about Su-27 now as I can see it in the thread. Help F-15 Mafia.
  16. Doesn't beat the point that Su-27 had datalink as standard compared to F-15 witch still don't have it as standard I believe. I dont have the technical knowledge, I could argue about only GCI receiving data, you need to be more logical. In 1992 Su-35 was doing its introduction even though in went into service around 2005.
  17. Those who got it was exceptional squads not like Su-27 where all had datalink. I don't think it was more than two squads. Do you know witch squad did get it and how datalink looks in F-15? Since at airshows when you climb into the cockpit you just cant find it compare to Su-27S built in datalink options.
  18. That Su-27S had datalink as standard befor F-15 and F-16blockX is something you have to accept together with that cobra can be used against you when you don't see it coming:)
  19. pilotasso as I know F-15 did not receive datalink, only exceptional squads compared to Su-27S where it was standard. If you want to compare those F-15s/F-16blockx, why don't we bring in Su-35s/Su-30 in to discussion. You love to compare Old Su-27S from 80s that you believe didn't have a single upgrade, it would be remarkable if components had so good lifetime in those stressful conditions. And again you tell me my datalink is much better than yours when you have not even seen F-15s datalink. Jump in Su-27 in FC3 and you will find the datallink options on Su-27 that I wish was working. It would be more then enought to know where 4 of my buddies are.
  20. Let me give you a hint pilotasso. Su-27 FLANKER tactic is not possible to employ because we don't have datalink modeled, that would be a game changer since F-15 dont have it ;). I bet you know this pilotasso, that 8vs8/4vs4 or GI multiplayer campaign is nothing like flying on public servers. Where it have been proven over and over again that tactics and teamwork is the key to any aim-120 spammers, Soon you will have to fight R-77 and Cobra pilotasso, So even those lonely wolf glory days, shooting down other lonelywolfs will get harder to claim. Let me give you another hint. There is no one that have better kill ratio in F-15 on public servers then one pilot from 51st, 128 kills to 0 death. Trust me, we know how good F-15 is, Or let me say Aim-120C5x. And we know as well that you would get surprised even more by ET if datalink was modeled.
  21. We are complaining about basic features and systems that Su-27 don't have in FC3. I don't understand why you as F-15 fanboy have anything to say in here. Specialy if people ask for cobra,EOS,TWS, not downgrading your aim-120, no one asked your opinion of it usefulness or about you uber skill showing how to counter it. Invite me for what, must missed it? Cobra is not working in FC3, otherwise I would do it on you on daily bases. If you want to take out your frustration I can't give you a Go. Bring your buddies and i'll make a server to show you where you stand. You can bring Aim-120 with you as well, Im sure will will need them.
  22. Would be a shame if it was not modeled in AFM. Im sure there is much more there to explore then scripted cobra in FC1/2. Its not only about the usefulness in combat its about accurate model of AFM. Not everyone enjoy spamming ERs/aim-120, many are here because of the advanced flight model. I don't understand why anyone would have different opinion. Those who are talking about if it usefull or not are not even enjoy to fly Su-27, why would you want lobby against something that is signum of Su-27.
  23. You have to understand that Su-27 pilots in a merge have same choice as any other pilots, its other way around, none have the choice Su-27 pilots have. Su-27 and F-18 can as well do sustained turns but they have the option to bleed speed with help of high AOA faster than others if needed. In a merge that is important.
