  1. Hello, as the title states. It would be nice to have the RSBN / PRMG unit's frequencies listed in mission editor beacons info in blue like it is done with the portable TACAN unit, so you can refer to it and check against the RSBN / PRMG frequencies already on the map. Thanks Jens
  2. I now did some testing in Caucasus. At least both the map's own and manually placed RSBN/PRMG stations behave the same. It's still not clear to me to where the HSI thin needle with the circle at the end is supposed to point when in landing mode. Please find tracks attached. Also the following what I've found. Being in navigation mode, the needle points to and swings around when passing RSBN station. Here in Kobuleti with manually placed RSBN (RSBN car placed at around the 45° left position): Same behaviour in Maykop with map RSBN (RSBN to right in the revetment): Now comes the weird part. Setup is the same RSBN channel tuned to RSBN and PRMG to PRMG channels. Being in landing mode, the needle points and deflects to the left, when passing the PRMG glideslope car having it on the right front side (next the ILS(?) antenna): Same in Maykop, needle swings left: Where should the needle be pointing to when in landing mode!? Why it is swinging to the left when approaching and passing the glideslope car having it front right? If it's a bug, feel free to move the thread to the bug section. Thanks Jens 20250923_L-39_RSBN_PRMG_needle_map_objects_Maykop.trk 20250923_L-39_RSBN_PRMG_needle_manual_objects.trk
  3. Great additions to the Normandy map. Thanks for the preview.
  4. Hello, first of all. Many thanks to ED for implementing the RSBN and PRMG objects. What is your experience with the new RSBN and PRMG units for the L-39? Tried it on Syria placing RSBN and PRMG units for RW17 at Latakia. Works great. One thing I need to investigate further with a clean mission in Caucasus I guess. Having the L-39 in landing / PRMG mode (forward position of RSBN switch), the needle on the HSI swung around while passing the PRMG glideslope object. Being in navigation mode (middle position of RSBN switch), the needle swings correctly next to the RSBN car further down the runway. Thanks Jens
  5. I guess the corresponding data for this new units has not been populated yet. Many new units or modules do not fit with the historical mode on first release.
  6. Have you checked the clock symbol for historical mode being off? Also check the country. It works for me with Russia, USSR or the combined forces red/blue. But will not work with GDR (even this should be possible, as they operated these equipment).
  7. Thanks ED, great addition to DCS having now the equivalent to the portable TACAN unit. Also many thanks at @BIGNEWY for making this guide for correct placement of the new units. Just downloaded the update and didn't have time to try out but I guess it's important to set the frequencies to different ones than the ones already being in the map? I remember having trouble with portable / shipborne TACAN frequencies which where interfering with corresponding DME channels on Syria map.
  8. With the new update (17.09.2025) and reworked RSBN/PRMG system, my changes are now obsolete. Edit: Looks like Allstedt and Garz have both RSBN Channel 38 assigned. Also looks like sorting of RSBN channel column asc or desc is not working correctly, but I guess this is an ED ME issue.
  9. Looking great. Thanks for the ongoing work.
  10. The video was great. Thanks for the details. Will the new RSBN / PRMG station ground units also work with the L-39 in the future?
  11. In the latest version I've only changed the wrong PRMG, RSBN frequencies for Damgarten. Channel number is set correctly to 32, but the frequencies are: frequency = 820000000.000000; So I set them to: frequency = 832000000.000000; Combination of channel 20 and frequency 820000000 is used for Parchim. See my beacons.lua attached. beacons.lua
  12. They added the animation for the Apache, cause there is no ejection seat but you can pretend to leave the aircraft after a forced landing. So you don't need to die in a fire or explosion of the damaged helicopter. It's just the animation and therefore lowest priority issue and a nice to have thing being corrected eventually after it's feature complete.
  13. As far as I know, there is no way of getting back. Egressing using CTRL + E three times is like ejecting from a jet. There is no return.
  14. Above 10.000ft... better go low level
  15. Haven't found a report about the following, at least not with the search criteria I used. See also tracks attached. Have an AH-64 armed with Hellfires at least on the right inboard station. Be on the ground, open cockpit door and hit CTRL + E three times to ground egress the helicopter and look from the outside. Do this both for pilot and CPG. Pilot comes to a stop after the egress animation with the missiles through his body: The CPG is floating in a 45° angle in the air... Thanks Jens 20250906_AH-64D_ground_egress_cpg.trk 20250906_AH-64D_ground_egress_pilot.trk
