  1. Cheers mate! Nah don't know what you're talking about, they'll go great with my flight suit :D
  2. By coincidence I managed to do a no hydraulic landing (no flaps, airbrakes or wheel brakes) the other night. Basically it involved holding the nose up as high as possible without having the engines scrape for over half the runway. I had no payload at the time and came in with very low fuel after my second attempt so that made it easier though. I'll record the trk file and post a link to it in the next few days. My approach was: 1 - Land at the very beginning of the runway at between 130 - 150 2 - Body brake at Max Alpha I could get away with, I can't remember the exact figure but I'm pretty sure it was over 15° 3 - Keep nose wheel off the ground until I was under a 100 at minimum, I'm pretty sure I dropped mine between 60 - 90 4 - Once under 60 I used gentle swerving to each side of the runway to bleed off speed It worked but I'm not sure how my luck would run if I tried it again.
  3. Mod for x55 and warthog as well as a stand alone product :)
  4. As far as I'm aware all sticks and throttles will be compatible with both the warthog and the x55.
  5. Good to see you're back in the, uh.. Pit? Looking forward to see where you go with the Pit next. Best of luck to you!
  6. Check this out, the guy's planning on a tomcat stick too! http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=104154
  7. You can no longer be reached by phone or email and can only be contacted by teamspeak!
  8. Hey hexgyc, long time lurker here! Normally I wouldn't break the 1 month between update rule :D but I'm seriously physced for this project. Could we get a progress update as I thought we'd have seen pics this week. Thanks for this incredible service you're doing for the community and I'll definitely be ordering once I have my own wartgog !
  9. Ive been using this: http://www.mwave.com.au/product/aoc-u3477pqu-ips-34-3440-x-1440-5ms-displayport-led-monitor-with-speaker-ab56427 for a while now. Originally I was using a 22" 1650 x 1050 and I've found a few pros and cons with it. Good things - Its much more immersive, very good colours, the higher PPI helped a lot in DCS and overall a huge upgrade from my old monitor. Bad things - Its ruddy expensive, there's a fair few games without support for this type of monitor and its not unusual to have to edit INI settings in order to make certain games work. Unfortunately other games flat out won't run anything from Ubisoft and a few other random titles are forced 16 : 9, most cut scenes in games will be locked at 16 : 9, Its 2.8 times more difficult to drive than full HD. I use an r9 290 and am able to max most games at this resolution but I would consider that the minimum requirement for playing modern games at high setting on this monitor. I love it and wouldn't go back the only thing I'd consider changing to would be an eyefinity setup but I can't see myself doing that anytime soon. I felt I needed to explain the cons more thoroughly but really IMO the pros far outweigh them.
