  1. I just bought the Bf-109K module, as it's one of my favorite aircraft of all time. I see there was an ED response to the trim issue, but what about the control authority at high speeds? The 109 is certainly known to lose control authority at speed. Is something going to be done about that?
  2. Just did this all myself, and still no response from the ATC.
  3. So I went through the stickies to no avail. I'm looking for a basic explanation of how to use the Combined Arms module. The aircraft all have their training missions, is there something to get the basic gist of using CA?
  4. All 17 pages? No, I hadn't read all of them, my free time is limited, and I made the mistake of thinking the company's own tech support would be a faster route. However, I'm assuming the second thing you quoted is what you thought to be my solution, (And it's just an assumption, I struggle with your grammar) you're referencing the teamspeak issue, which I had also already tried. I literally spent hours on the phone with Saitek support before making that post, and they weren't able to find a fix. Alkaline's explanation however seems to have done the trick. The only difference between what he did and what Saitek told me to do (And I had done previously) is that Saitek had me uninstall the device and drivers from the device manager, but did not mention going in and deleting the temp folder.
  5. YOU sir. You deserve a beer. Nay, a full case! Hours on the phone with Saitek yielded nothing, but with your one post my throttle now works!
  6. So, time to toss my experience in. I have the ghosting issue. BAD. Games are completely unplayable. I've plugged it into USB 2.0 ports and 3.0 ports. No difference. I've plugged it into an externally powered hub. No difference. I've re-installed the drivers. No difference. I've disable USB port sleeping in windows. No difference. I've re-installed my motherboard drivers for the USB ports. No difference. I've sent Saitek my Dxdiag, and they're supposed to get back to me by Tuesday. But here's what gets interesting: Through this whole thing, I cannot even get the windows test page up for the throttle quadrant. All of the ghosting is in the throttle, the stick works fine both in games and on the test page, but the throttle won't even give a test. I have an AMD chipset as well, running windows 8.1
  7. I'm currently being very lazy and flying on autopilot, and I'm noticing some CRAZY swinging on the yaw and roll axis. I'm in route following mode, and while I'm certainly following the route, the nose of the plane is swinging wildly around.
  8. Ran into this same problem just now. Makes taxiing at night impossible. I relogged several times to no avail.
  9. So far, all of the modules I have are Steam. I have seen mentioned in a news sticky that you can use steam licenses in non-steam DCS world, but not vise versa. My question is, with the steam downloads, would I have to re-download the modules and then enter the steam license keys? Or just download DCS world from ED, and then run as usual? Additionally, will all of the ED downloads be available on steam? I like the ability to have all of my games on the same system, as I've lost discs and codes too many times in the past otherwise, but I've seen mention of new maps coming (Hormuz) and this campaign-selling system on EDs website, but no word on steam availability.
  10. I did not have pitot De icing on, but when everything else came back on line in a few seconds, so did the airspeed indicator.
  11. Got it, thanks!
  12. Awesome, thank you. And I suppose I ought not hold my breath on those coming?
  13. I was reading the ED page about the Su-27 module, and it said that there was a new "professional" flight model. However, it also said that it has the same model as FC3, which the forums here say have a simplified model, not as in-depth as the A-10 and other dedicated models. So, am I simply misinterpreting? Does the Su-27 have its own new dedicated AFM? Or is it the simplified flight model?
  14. Thanks for the responses! I figured I was pulling too much power, but wasn't sure. So for De icing, down means auto, up means manual on?
  15. So, I've been noticing a weird behavior in the Mi-8. Often when at high speed, high power, and high-G maneuvers, I get a weird chirping sound, and then lose power to the radio altimeter, airspeed indicator, and gunsight. There may be other things losing problems, but these are the ones I see. The power comes back after a few seconds, but I'm wondering what I'm doing to cause these failures. I've tried checking to make sure my icing systems are off, to make sure I'm not drawing too much electrical power, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Also, on the icing panel, is up or down on? I haven't found a good explanation in the manual, though I haven't yet had time to read all of it.
  16. I've actually noticed an issue as well. On the second mission, reading the pre-brief, it says that the second landing will be at 2,500 meters. Well, according to my instrument when I get there, it's reading around 1,200 (I'm assuming the altimeter here is in meters?). I looked around youtube as well for other people doing the mission and their altimeters give a similar reading. Am I missing something here?
