I took me a bunch of crash with the P51 trying to takeoff on the campaign challenge trying to find where the wind was coming from with no windsock and the aircraft behaving wrongly on takeoff. I am glad that it's been raise, hopefully they will fix it.

I didn't read all the pages, i am sorry if what i will say as been said before. On DCS the airport wind are wrong.
ATC reported winds are where they are from not where they are going to. In other word the wind should be 090 at 19 that mean that they are coming from the east and flowing direction west.
Again i am new into DCS and maybe this issue as been raise before.

Thanks you guys 1100 is a little too far for my taste but I can live with it, I understand now why I didn't do much damage with my gunsight set at 600

I ear you m8, the 109 is superior in speed, turn, and climb rate. That make him a formidable opponent, the only way I manage is with a altitude advantage and I mean a big one. Dive get your shot or not then extend and climb back. No dog fight
Here is his answer's.
The normal takeoff is with half flaps (25 degree), since there is no flaps indicator we use full ailerons to adjust the flaps flush with it.
Is it written before that what are the condition of the takeoff? ie short or damage runway? I never witness nor flew any aircraft's that takeoff with full flaps apart from some specific operations or on very short field or rwy limited takeoff but as a normal takeoff no. That being says I can be wrong.
I will check with someone who flew it and I get back to you.
