  1. I think that some of the problem -might- have been too that the "Documents" folder on the C:\ drive is symbolically linked to another HDD (my C:\ drive is on an SSD). That's where I originally had the export folder pointing, "Documents\Tacview" I also did try creating an ACMIs folder within the Tacview install folder, so if Tacview doesn't support it, that's why that route didn't work!
  2. Alright! So after moving the Tacview install to the same HDD as DCS, but then moving the ACMI recordings to the second HDD, the flights are finally recording! Odd, but maybe it had something to do with write permissions. I don't know... but it's working now, so, that's good!
  3. Well, I uninstalled Tacview, deleted the files that I used to manually install the exporter, and reinstalled Tacview on to the same HDD. This time the exporter installed automatically, but I'm still not getting any ACMI files recorded... Checking the logs I see this: 00154.336 INFO TACVIEW.DLL: Tacview Flight Data Recorder 1.6.0 Loaded 00154.336 INFO TACVIEW.DLL: Config={dataRecordingEnabled=1,recordClientsSessionsEnabled=0,bookmarkShortcut=0,playbackDelay=600,profilingPeriod=600,debugModeEnabled=0} 00159.198 ERROR TACVIEW.DLL: Failed to create flight data recording [C:\Program Files (x86)\Tacview\ACMIs\Tacview-20170516-001344-DCS-F-5E QuickStart - Takeoff.zip.acmi]
  4. I'm having an issue where acmi files aren't being created... I've followed the FAQ steps on the Tacview website and I can't see any issues. I did have to manually install the exporter, and my Tacview install and DCS install are on different HDDs, so I don't know if this is causing issues. Are there any other steps I can use to try to trouble shoot this issue?
  5. I got mine the day after I posted last, the 6th! So.. nevermind and thank you!
  6. Thanks for this, it's very helpful! Overall, I think I like the Starways texture the best, but I think I'm going to have to go with Mustang. I fly with a friend who doesn't do texture mods, and Mustang's keeps the same field geometry as vanilla, so it'll be easier to point out things.
  7. I still haven't received mine, who should I contact about this?
  8. Have the Viggen Pre-Order shirts gone out? I haven't received mine yet, and I'm not receiving any response from using the contact form on the Heatblur website.
  9. I own all except the Gazelle and the C-101. I regularly fly the Su-27, MiG-21 and Ka-50. I started learning the A-10C but put that on hold for now. I've been flying the M-2000C lately too since it's my newest module. I like to fly the MiG-15 occasionally, and will probably start to learn the Bf-109 and/or Fw 190 soon since a friend is getting the P-51. I rarely touch the Hawk or L-39 right now, and I haven't spent any appreciable time besides maybe one or two quick flight in the other modules. The Su-27 is what I fly with my friend when we want to just jump in and zoom around shooting things. The MiG-21 is what my squadron flies most, and it's also tied for my most loved module. The Ka-50 was a surprise for me. I'd never had any interest in helicopters, but wanted a change from the MiG and I quickly fell in love with it. I've probably done the most SP in that module.
  10. Was this ever figured out? I'm looking too.
  11. I don't think that's too much to ask. Neither is asking them to update the news section for the game on Steam. They put the A-10C campaign on steam but the only way I knew was a random Google result.
  12. Yeah, I checked that and it's correct. Thanks for responding though!
  13. I have a friend that I fly with and we used to be able to fly together just fine while I was hosting. Suddenly, with no changes (and a redownload on my part) when he connects to my server he says he just sees a black screen, and then a few seconds later I see him disconnect. Our firewalls both allow the game, and all ports are open... does anyone have any idea how we can trouble shoot this?
  14. Does anyone know if a PDF or online source has been created that acts like an out of game "encyclopedia" for the mission editor? What I mean is, pictures and maybe descriptions (but mostly pictures) of all the objects, aircraft and vehicles that be used in the mission editor?
  15. Thank you for these guides Chuck. I've used them both as a supplement after reading the official manual, and for other aircraft as an introduction before diving in to the official manual. They work well both ways! If I could make a small request, could you possible put dates next to the link for each aircraft showing when they were last updated? That way we can make sure we always have the most up to date ones. Thanks!
  16. Does anyone know how to remap the three buttons underneath the MFD on the throttle of the X52? Someone here posted a picture showing what all their buttons do for the Ka50, and they had those three buttons mapped plus with shift states. I can't find them in them in the profile editor.
