I am selling my lightly used Pro Pedals. I do not care for the design of the of them with respect to how close my feet are to each other as I try to sit in a comfortable position. It is simply an ergonomic issue for me. Otherwise they work perfectly. 65.00 includes shipping within US. PayPal works. Thanks.

TrackIR Conundrums

Yes. Buy I am willing to give it another go. I have been known to miss critical information? Thanks. -
Greetings! My flight sim experience has been stalled because I cannot seem to figure out TIR. Before going further, yes I have read the manual. As I try to create a "profile" I find that I do not understand the significance of the various "templates." Do they have a bearing on the outcome of the curves? Can I create an exclusive profile, name it, and not refer to a "title" and have this profile work in any game? (I am only using DCS at the moment. How do I create a curve where I can look over my shoulder? I have tried many ideas. I have fiddled with the "speed" and "smooth" slider but my head movement is still to fast and unsteady. Pressing the "precision" key freezes the software. "Toggle" is checked. Sorry to seem so dense but I would be grateful for any help. I can't imagine flying DCS without it. Steve

Actually the seat in the Mustang is just fine. Thanks for the feedback though.

Best rudder pedals in DCS?
Pineapple Pete replied to Pineapple Pete's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Again. thanks for all the input which I received about my quest for better pedals. I looked with longing at the Crosswind pedals but since I just a casual gamer, I just couldn't justify the cost. I went today to Fry's and purchased the Saitek Pro Pedals and after installation and a quick circuit or two in TF-51 I think I have found what I am looking for. To this point I am much happier with them over the CH pedals. Steve aka Pineapple Pete (named after my Dad"d WWII B-17) -
Best rudder pedals in DCS?

Well, I looked at the Crosswinds and although I was tempted, I am after all, a casual gamer. So, I went for the Saitek Pro Pedals. What a measurable difference over the CH Pedals. Thanks for input everyone. Regards -

Best rudder pedals in DCS?

Svend, Cheif, marlku and Yurgon. Thanks for the input. Glad to hear it's not all just me. In general I am not very happy with the CH products but I am learning to make the Fighterstick and Pro Throttle work. (Haven't figured out the mini joystick on the throttle yet but I am a bit dense with these things. Regards, Steve -
Hi All, I find that I do not care for the ergonomics of my CH Pro Rudder Pedals. They just feel wrong to me. Also, I have not been able to find the sweet spot in the axis tuning to be anywhere near smooth in taxiing. I have been trying when I can, just to practice taxiing the TF-51 and I am now ready to start blaming the rudder pedals, Any insights about which rudder pedals you like would be greatly appreciated. Just as a final thought I am still a full time pilot with over 16,000 hours and was even privileged to fly a beautiful DC-3 for a while, So, I know a little bit about how this is supposed to work. But, simming is a different world. Many thanks, Steve

Thanks Chief. Worked like you said.

HI All, After few months of scrounging around the forum, and a lot of trial and error. I am starting to get the TF-51 and the F-86 dialed in a bit. My question has to do with which axis I should be using to sit a little lower in the cockpit. I am using TrackIR 5 so I ran this question past them first and they indicate that the fix lies within the game itself. So, any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the info on weather. I also see magnetic variation is shown on the maps.
-
Greetings All, I am wondering about how cross country navigation is accomplished without an operational NDB in the P-51. I am familiar with dead reckoning navigation but that requires some pre determined givens. Is the course shown on the map mission planner true or magnetic? Are winds aloft present? So, if you plan a quick mission in weather other than clear, how does one navigate to target and return to home? I have been looking around in the manuals but I am not finding mush information.:book: Many thanks.

Face Track NoIR in DCS?
Pineapple Pete replied to Pineapple Pete's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I hate to sound so stupid but what is IIRC? Do I find this facetrack.dll in the facetrack directory and move it to DCS? Found various "opentrack" in google search. Which one please? AND. thanks for you help. Is it always this hard or is just me? -
Face Track NoIR in DCS?
Pineapple Pete replied to Pineapple Pete's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The Start Dummy check box is checked. Select interface is show face track, hide trackir. Also I uninstalled and re installed because although CL-Eye Test shows the camera operating, the application would no longer start. After the re install I have the same problem. CL-Eye test okay - application will not start. PS3 Eye Camera is shown and status show "tracking" but no visual of my face as before. -
Face Track NoIR in DCS?
Pineapple Pete replied to Pineapple Pete's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
CL eye driver is installed and I can see my image. In fact, all aspects of the hardware and software are working. The problem lies in that the game software does not recognize the camera. I am having the same problem with Falcon BMS. I am probably missing something simple. -

PS3 Eye. -
Just installed the software and camera and all seems to be working however the controller setup page does see the camera. I was able to use TrackIR in the game but not able to effect FT NoIR. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.:helpsmilie:

Still grounded.

It turns out that after I deleted the Virtual Joystick that the problem went away. Somehow TRackIr inserted this. TrackIr likes F keys. Thanks to all for your thoughts and help. -

Thanks but I don't know where to look for saved games and furthermore, the problem doesn't lie within DCS as the Virtual Joysticks also appear in Falcon BMS. -
HI All, Now I am puzzled. I rearranged my office to try to make my TrackIR 5 usable during daylight hours. After moving the computer (all devices were unplugged) and upon restarting both DCS world and Falcon BMS I found that I now have two new, never seen before, VJoy Virtual Joysticks. I posted this on the CH Hangar forum as well as I am convinced this may be a CH issue as they are the only controllers I have. Additionally, the F1 key wont return to the cockpit. My F2 key shows the external camera rotating around the airplane in continual loops and the F4 key pans around to the belly of the aircraft in both the P51 and F86. None of these issues were present until I moved my computer. Sheesh! Any thoughts would be appreciated. Steve

Thanks. Sounds like my set up is similar. I guess I just need a lot more practice.
