  1. The Arabia Campaign kicks off tomorrow, Friday, 04.04.2025, at around 1600 zulu
  2. I'm aware of that, but decided to put that on my wish list nonetheless. Like I said, other modules have different variants, so why not one additional Mi-8 variant with other capabilities. Basically, any new russian helicopter would do if not some Mi-8 variant. Mi-2, Mi-4, Mi-6, Mi-26, Mi-28. The last 2 are probably unlikely to get, but the first 3?
  3. I'll add your suggestion to my post and do the same with every other new post.
  4. Operation: The Nicosia Campaign Mission's Specifications: - Featured helicopters: Mi-24 and Mi-8 vs OH-58, SA342L and UH-1 - Only Assault Squads are available through CTLD (no crates and no MANPAD's) - Soft targets for the most part are the threat for both sides - AAA's and IR SAM's are only available at main bases - No tanks, no APC's and no IFV's (check out the situation and see images below) Situation: The fight over Nicosia has started. Two local militias of different backgrounds claim to have the right to reign and be in power over northern parts of Cyprus. Red and Blue being the superpowers they are, seek to support one side against the other to have a say in the region. Red support Militia Forces East while Blue support Militia Forces West. Over the last three decades political parties representing the Militia Forces West and their people were in power. People from the eastern parts of the region feel oppressed and formed their own militia to attack and overthrow the current regime. Small arms and light armoured vehicles were given to the militia groups. Nothing too expensive or sophisticated, hence the absence of actual anti air defences at the frontline. AAA's and IR SAM's are only around the Red and Blue bases for self protection purposes. Note that the objectives for both sides are not the same. Militia Forces East are the aggressor. Therefore, strike missions carried out by Red helicopters (rockets and bombs) are part of the objective. Red Objectives: In support of the Militia Forces East the following objectives must be completed: Capture the following areas: - Power Station - Observation Base - Old City (Nicosia) Destroy vital structures (see images) at the following bases: - Military Base - Lakatamia --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Capturing Areas: Each area you're tasked with capturing is divided into zones (see F10 map). To capture a zone 14 or more ground units regardless of their type are needed. Example: The Observation Base is divided into 3 zones. A total of 42 ground units is required to capture the entire area. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frequencies: Comms: 124 MHz Main Base NDB: 540 kHz ************************ Blue Objectives: In support of the Militia Forces West the following objectives must be completed: Holding the following areas: - Power Station - Observation Base - Old City (Nicosia) In addition, we suspect that Red helicopters might carry out strike missions on a Military Base north of Nicosia and Lakatamia Base in the south. Defending the two bases held by friendly militia forces is optional. Note that we can rearm and refuel at Lakatamia Base as long as the enemy hasn't destroyed its vital structures --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Capturing Areas: Each area you're tasked with capturing is divided into zones (see F10 map). To capture a zone 14 or more ground units regardless of their type are needed. Example: The Observation Base is divided into 3 zones. 5. I started a thread with a wish list for the Mi-8:
  6. With the Chinook receiving so much love the Hip might be growing more jealous. I'm not sure where to start, but the list is long. A rework would be a good start (see the Black Shark all way to Black Shark III). ... you know, tiny little things such as: - Wipers - Visors - The flight engineer having a machine gun - Players having access to the rear-gunner - Bombing sight - Everything connected to cargo (see the Chinook) - Some modules have variants (SA342L, M, Mistral, etc.). Maybe an Mi-8 variant with ATGM's? - The ability to remove IR suppressors, additional armour and cargo doors in-game with the rearm menu These are some of the things, but there's more. That would make many Mi-8 lovers very happy and I think and really hope it would sell well, especially, if the ATGM's variant is added.
  7. Round 4 of The Georgia Campaign kicks off tomorrow, 27.03.2025, at around 1700 zulu
  8. Blue won round 4 of The Aleppo Campaign The Arabia Campaign is next, but some testing is required. The server remains offline until further notice. A short break shouldn't hurt
  9. The Georgia Campaign - Change Log: A forward base for Red is established in Tskhinvali to help with the invasion As long as Red hold Tskhinvali North (50+ ground units) the base is active 2 Mi-24 and 2 Mi-8 slots are available Squads and crates are available through CTLD at the forward base This should help with quicker troops' insertion missions, especially, when additional Hinds and Hips coming from the main base start landing at the forward base to pick up assault squads rather than flying back
  10. Blue won round 2 of The Beirut Campaign The Aleppo Campaign - Change Log: At the start of the campaign Red hold Tabqa (main base), Jirah and Kuweires At the start of the campaign Blue hold Hatay (main base), Minakh and Taftanaz Gaziantep (in the north), Aleppo (in the middle) and Abu al-Duhur (in the south) remain neutral Round 4 of The Aleppo Campaign kicks off today at around 1700 zulu
  11. Blue won round 3 of The Enguri Campaign! The Arabia Campaign still needs some testing. Therefore... Round 2 of The Beirut Campaign goes online today at around 1700 zulu
  12. Operation: The Arabia Campaign Situation: Both coalitions are fighting over the Arabian Peninsula across the UAE and parts of neighbouring countries. There are 8 bases, 4 of which are controlled by Red and the other 4 are controlled by Blue at the start of the campaign. The goal is simple: Capture and hold all 8 bases! Note: Airfields are not part of the objective and don't therefore don't offer any military. Rearming and refueling can only be done at any friendly base. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following ground units are available at the start of the campaign: 72 x T-90's - 72 x Abrams tanks 32 x T-80's - 32 x Leopards 2A6's 16 x T-72's - 16 x Chieftains 36 x ZBD's - 36 x Bradleys 80 x BMP-2's - 80 x Maders 20 x BTR-82's - 20 x LAV's 8 x BRDM's - 8 x Cobras 22 x Strelas - 22 x Avengers - 22 x ammo trucks 22 x ZSU Trucks - 22 x Vulcans - 22 x ammo trucks 40 extra ammo trucks each ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Capturing Bases: To capture a base you need to destroy enemy ground units first before you move in with at least 36 friendly ground units (regardless of their type). Once a base is captured, the following ground units spawn to help with holding it: 6 x ZTZ tanks / 6 x Chieftains 2 x BMP-3's / 2 x Warriors 4 x BMP-2's / 4 x Bradleys 2 x Shilkas + 4 x ZSU Trucks / 6 x Vulcans 2 x Strelas / 2 x Avengers 1 x ZSU-57 / 1 x Gepard 2 x BTR-82's / 2 x LAV-25's 4 x AA Toyota Trucks / 4 x AA Ford Trucks 7 x Ammo Trucks / 7 x Ammo Trucks ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NDB's: Ras: 505 kHz Dibba: 522 kHz Wad: 611 kHz Sharjah: 650 kHz Dhaid: 580 kHz Fujairah: 1188 kHz Balad: 1107 kHz Muzeira: 236 kHz New Units Added To The Server Featured In This Campaign:
  13. Blue Coalition was victorious in the Beirut Campaign. The Enguri Campaign will go online at 1900 UTC today.
  14. Blue had quite a comeback yesterday! Red players are needed more than ever, otherwise Blue might win it tonight. The server goes online every day with the saved mission progress at around 1800 zulu.
  15. Update: The server will run one mission day per actual calendar day. The present schedule is 1800 UTC to 0700 UTC 7 days per week. Outside of those hours, the server will be unavailable. Currently, The Beirut Campaign is still on. Transport helicopter pilots are needed more than ever! Nice battles and teamwork so far, especially, from the Red side.
  16. The Beirut Campaign will go online this Saturday, 08.02.2025, at around 1800 zulu
  17. The poll results on discord showed that a campaign where capturing bases and having more spawning points is more favourable. Therefore, the new campaign I'm working on will feature the following: Each coalition starts with a number of bases (military bases/FARP's built by me, not airfields from the map). 1 base is the main base (like in The Aleppo Campaign) and the other bases are part of the objective (like in The Aleppo Campaign). Unlike The Aleppo Campaign and as mentioned in the first point, each coalition will start with a number of bases, so action is instant! Building my own bases gives me the option of choosing the battlefield anywhere I want without depending on the locations of airfields featured in a map. Besides, it's cooler to take off from a helipad than a big parking lot next to a runway. The Persian Gulf map will be the one I chose for this new campaign. Speaking of The Aleppo Campaign, round 4 (sometime in the future) will start with each coalition holding 2-3 bases, so that action is also rather instant. Aleppo and/or Gaziantep might be the ones left neutral. Not sure yet. The new campaign, The Beirut Campaign, will go online this Friday. The exact time will be announced soon. The ull briefing can be found here.
  18. Red won round 2 of The Enguri Campaign!
  19. Operation: The Beirut Campaign Situation: In this campaign Red and Blue are fighting over 4 different target areas. Each area (Anjar Station excluded) is divided into a few target areas highlighted on the F10 map as white (neutral) zones at the start of the campaign. To capture a zone at least 24 ground units regardless of their type must be in that zone. Target Areas and their zones: - Beirut Airfield is divided into 5 zones. - Rayak Town and Airfield are divided into 6 zones. - Serghaya Town is divided into 2 zones. - Anjar Station consists of 1 zone. Red Objectives: Capture and hold the following: - Beirut Airfield - Rayak Town and Airfield - Serghaya Town - Anjar Station ------------------------------------------- Frequencies: Comms: 124 MHz Main Base (Torba): ATC: 120.5 MHz NDB: 611 kHz Bullseye: NDB: 580 kHz **************************************** Blue Objectives: Capture and hold the following: - Beirut Airfield - Rayak Town and Airfield - Serghaya Town - Anjar Station ------------------------------------------- Frequencies: Comms: 251 MHz Main Base (Dublin): ATC: 252.5 MHz NDB: 505 kHz Bullseye: NDB: 580 kHz
  20. Blue won round 3 of The Aleppo Campaign The Enguri Campaign goes online today at around 1700 zulu The Beirut Campaign is almost finished. The plan is put it online next weekend.
  21. Blue won The Georgia Campaign A couple of thoughts: Red had quite a good number of players upon opening the server and won round 1 of The Aleppo Campaign, yet nothing else after that. Adding the forward base for Red in The Georgia Campaign didn't help either. Or was it because of lack of Red players? I could probably add 2 Su-25T's starting at Nalchik and still Red wouldn't win, simply because they lack the numbers. After all, Red are the attacker, so maybe Su-25T's? The Aleppo Campaign kicks off today at around 1700 zulu
  22. Blue won The Enguri Campaign We're testing Aleppo right now hoping to put it online today at around 1900 zulu If the testing results are not good, we launch The Georgia Campaign instead at around 1900 zulu
  23. Operation: The Enguri Campaign Situation: The goal is to capture and hold the Enguri Dam and the 7 bridges over the Patari Enguri River. The circular areas with names of the dam and bridges must be held in force. In order to hold one of these areas, a minimum of 24 units (troops, vehicles or both) is required. In addition, the holding force must be at least 5 times the number of any enemy forces in the circle. The circle will change colour according to which side is currently present in sufficient strength. Red Objectives: Ka-50's and Mi-24's: - Search & destroy enemy armour! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mi-8's: Deploy troops, AAA emplacements or light artillery guns to help with capturing and holding the objectives. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frequencies: Main freq. - 124 MHz Torba NDB: 1107 kHz Torba ATC: 120.5 MHz Shpora NDB: 1188 kHz Shpora ATC: 130.5 MHz Bullseye NDB: 525 kHz **************************************************************************************************** Blue Objectives: AH-64's, OH-58's and SA342's: - Search & destroy enemy armour! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CH-47's and UH-1's: Deploy troops, AAA emplacements or light artillery guns to help with capturing and holding the objectives. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frequencies: Main freq. - 251 MHz Rome NDB: 236 kHz Rome ATC: 255.5 MHz Dublin NDB: 201 kHz Dublin ATC: 252.5 MHz Bullseye NDB: 525 kHz
