Server News: SRS auto connect has been fixed.
-
Thank you very much! I was wondering myself as I find dark way better and more relaxing to the eyes.

Server News: The new missions MiG-21 vs F1 (Caucasus, PG and Syria) have been optimised a bit: - Instead of 4 hours runtime, it's now 3. - Instead of having to score 100 kills to win, 50 will do. - Magic 1 missiles removed. - Juli's remain disabled. - R-60M's remain disabled.
-
Operation: MiG-21 vs F1 (Caucasus, PG and Syria) Note: As you can see it's three missions with the same setup and objective running on three different maps. Situation: *** The mission runs for 3 hours, unless the objective is completed *** - The mission features the MiG-21 and the F1 only. - 20 slots available per side. 10 slots at each airbase in some missions. - The objective is simple: Score 50 aerial kills to win the day!

Server News: I have a new server provider. It's located in Germany and is way faster with a bigger SSD. I'm installing the game right now on the server machine. SRS is already working and other minor things. Standby, please...
-
Server News: The current server machine I've been using all this time is not compatible with the latest Windows versions any more. Reinstalling DCS yesterday might've fixed one problem, but introduced a few new ones. Therefore, I'll have to look for a new server provider which I'm already doing. Bear with me, please.
-
The server's down again. This time around it's internal issues, not me. The game's updated and all is good. The server provider has been informed, but I doubt he'll answer me tonight. We'll have to wait until tomorrow. Until then, fly your F1 tutorials/training missions/etc. Sorry for the mishap, folks.

Server News: The latest update is 5,8 GB. Unable to install due to lack of space on the server's machine. Despite having 14,9 GB left, it wont let me. I'll contact the server provider ASAP and try to purchase a bigger hard disk. I was planning on doing so by the end of the month after the update and now this. I wouldn't have thought to have such an issue. Sorry for the mishap. Server is offline.

Server News: Upon release, the F1 will have access to all weapons for a few days. This is to help players familiarise themselves with the new module. Just like we had it (if you remember) with the M-2000C and the AJS37 back in the day. Not that I had that many options with the former's air-to-air weapons, but you get the picture. In addition, viewing oneself on the F10 map will be enabled as well. This should help with navigation until players hopefully and quickly figure it out in the F1. External views will be enabled too. Surely players want to check out their F1 from the outside and maybe share some screenshots. Again, all the above will be enabled for a few days only. Maybe just for the weekend. See you airborne!
-
This is already the case in all missions actually. I put TACAN's and NDB's where there's none. Road bases and FARP's always have either and some airbases that lack both.

Server News: As you may have noticed, there are no events this weekend. The only reason for that is to put regular (daily) missions in the spotlight. If you check out the missions' roster you should see that operation Into The Desert will kick off today around 1840 zulu. I will manually rotate the server tomorrow morning, Saturday, so that operation When The Mountains Cry kicks off around 1800-1900 zulu. Notes: - Red are yet to win Into The Desert (last time was very close). Blue has won it quite often. - Blue have won When The Mountains Cry a few times, but it's mostly Red that keep on winning it very often. Hopefully, the latest mission's change log boosts Blue a bit. - No significant changes in the mission Into The Desert so far, because I do think it's doable as it is.
-
I just restarted the server machine, deleted a few files, etc. Hopefully, this fixes the issue because I really didn't change anything in the settings. NDB's work just fine now after they've been fixed 2-3 months ago. I'll check out your file. Thanks for sharing it!

Server News: Operation When The Mountains Cry change log: - Added 16 x SA342M's - 2 slots. - Added 6 x Bradleys and 6 Blue x AAA emplacements (mostly around the Blue lakes). - Added a Blue single helipad for Gazelles only, just west of the Blue lakes. Callsign: Madrid - ATC: 130 MHz. - The Gazelles' single helipad is for rearming, refueling and repairing purposes ONLY! Always RTB to the actual FARP, Dallas, to save your helicopter. - UH-1's can use the single helipad for refueling and repairing purposes only, if they choose to. - The Gazelles' single helipad should save Gazelles long flights of flying back to the actual FARP, in order to get back to battle in a matter of minutes. - The Gazelles' single helipad is hidden on the map, MFD and planner and is only marked for Blue on the F10 to see. - The Gazelles' single helipad is marked with an orange circle for providing details and 4 blue arrows to highlight it for Blue on the F10 map. - Clouds adjusted. - Winds adjusted to help landing on road bases. - Removed more light poles and trees around the road bases. - MiG-29A's and A-10A's waypoints adjusted. - Briefing and briefing images adjusted.

Server News: Operation Fight Island change log: - Instead of 4 hours, the mission runs for 3 hours. - Red and Blue attacking ground units were moved closer to Qeshm Island Airbase (bullseye) and are now mostly hidden in villages. Note: The objective remains all the same: The coalition holding Qeshm Island Airbase by the end of the mission wins the battle. Therefore, there's no need for it to run for 4 hours, especially, when one team is clearly dominating which the case sometimes. Ground units are now mostly hidden to help them survive should one team outnumber the other until maybe the teams are balanced. And even if they remain unbalanced, the change should increase the enemy's ground units' survivability.

Server News: * Operation Bandar 1949 is offline. * Operation Fulcrums & Tomcats is now part of the daily missions. Fulcrums & Tomcats change log: - F-14A's countermeasures set to the following: AN/ALE-39 Loadout: 30 Flares / 30 Chaff - Should Red destroy the Blue FARP, the first UH-1 slot will still be operational with 2 x UH-1's only! The second UH-1 slot has access to 4 x UH-1's and would be disabled. - This would weaken Blue's chances of deploying engineer squads, but never render them hopeless. - Remember! The mission runs for 3 hours, regardless of completing the objectives or not. If you do however, provide CAP and protect your assets until it's over.

Operation Fulcrums & Tomcats - Today's Summary: * max. 3 hours mission time Round 1: The roster was full with a few players waiting in the spectators seats for quite a while. Red managed to destroy the Blue FARP, but mainly due to a low number of Tomcats in the first 30-40 minutes of the mission. Round 2: Blue was slightly outnumbered, but managed to establish air superiority for enough time for me flying the A-10A to take out 2 x AAA's and 2 bunkers using 4 Mavericks. In the second sortie the Tomcats distracted the Fulcrums further southeast of bulls, and I was able to take out the third and last AAA with a Maverick shot and dropped all 3 x Mk-82's on the comms tower, which eventually destroyed it. First sortie A-10's loadout: 4 x Mavericks, 1 x AIM-9L and 55% fuel. Made it back home with 28% fuel remaining. Second sortie A-10's loadout: 2 x Mavericks, 1 x AIM-9L, 3 x Mk-82's and 50% fuel. During both sorties I was flying around 300 mph. Sometimes even faster when diving into the valleys and never too slow when climbing. The bottom line is, the A-10A wasn't as bad as many have speculated and the flight path I put there is good enough to keep you ca. 80% of the time hidden in valleys on the way in. I asked around and had nothing but very positive feedback regarding the setup of the mission. Therefore, it will be part of the daily missions. And... I'll make another one. Don't worry though, it will always be one Fulcrums & Tomcats mission max at a time on the missions' roster. 10 missions are currently online, 9 out of which are regular missions featuring the standard modules of the server you're familiar with.

I ain't Dawger found the issue, by the way. Credit to him. Not saying he's the greatest. He's just... Dawger.

That can only mean that your logistic structures have been destroyed. Edit: There was something in the script. It's weird though that it's never been reported all this time, so it was hard to believe there was something missing in the script. Fixed!

Reminder: * Operation Search & Destroy (PG) kicks off tomorrow, Friday, 08.07.2022, around 1800 zulu. * Operation Fulcrums & Tomcats (Caucasus) kicks off this Saturday, 09.07.2022, around 1800 zulu. * Operation Cyprus 1952 (Syria) kicks off this Sunday, 10.07.2022, around 1800 zulu. * Operation Fulcrums & Tomcats: - The mission is designed in a way that both the MiG-29A and the F-14A can carry out both CAP and strike tasks. - S-24 rockets or FAB bombs for the MiG-29A and ZUNI rockets or Mk bombs/GBU's for the F-14A are more than enough to finish the job in maybe one or two sorties. - The addition of the Su-25A and the A-10A is a mere extra. If you think it's not suitable for the task then stick with the fighter jets. An extra can only help, but surely not hinder if left out. - Depends on how the mission plays out, changes might be made while taken into consideration the players' feedback that has already been shared on Discord. - The plan is then to make the mission part of the daily missions if things go well. With that, it would be the first mission without featuring the MiG-21 and the F-5.
-
This simply can't be the case if you knew how the CTLD script works. Maybe your logistic structures were destroyed which would be the only/main explanation for that.

Magnetic Variation: Some answers (incl South Atlantic)
Alpenwolf replied to Ian Boys UK's topic in DCS 2.9
@Ian Boys UK Are you sure they all have a (-) and not a (+) as shown by you int he main post? PG and Syria should have a (+) there instead of a (-), unless it's just a dash and not a minus. -
That's a lot of confusion. I use the Doppler every time I fly the Mi-8/Mi-24. Sometimes I get to my destination, other times a few km off of it. Different maps, different settings, etc.

Server News: Captured zones (airbases/FARP's/towns/etc.) will be highlighted as Red, Blue or White (neutral) on the F10 map in missions where capturing zones is the objective. The lua script is finished and will be tested this Friday, 08.07.2022, in operation Search & Destroy (PG). The mission kicks off around 1800 zulu. I've tested the script and it seems to run without any problems. Should there be any malfunctioning in the script you wouldn't even notice and the mission wouldn't be affected by it. You simply wouldn't see any zones changing any colours. Shout out to Apok for his tremendous help with the script!

Magnetic Variation: Some answers (incl South Atlantic)
Alpenwolf replied to Ian Boys UK's topic in DCS 2.9
Yeah, so in that case I (being the pilot) do it myself. I'm used to in the Mi-8 anyway. By the way, what about other aircraft? Say, MiG-21, MiG-19, MiG-15? -
