  1. I got the Mig-29A clean up to 895 knots at sea level, checked on the F2 outside view, latest FC3 version. Which is about 100 knots too fast, but the engines can be tuned for low altitude performance. I got the F-15C up to 815 knots. A little fast but not too bad. Still Lock On, FC1, FC2, FC3 you think they would have fixed it up a bit by now.
  2. And also because the Su-27 has too many bugs and seems half finished IMO. The Su-33 has canards for better high alpha and slow speed handling and upgraded flight control system so it should be better.
  3. The Su-33 doesn't have the autopilot lights like in the Su-27. I use Lalt-3 for level mode and Lalt-9 to cancel autopilot and can't see any cockpit indicators. Also the Su-33 is much better to fly than the Su-27, awesome plane.
  4. In ACM energy management is very important. Speed is life. Finding yourself low and slow is bad, pilots try to avoid this. Be gentle with the stick and don't use too much alpha (AOA) or bleed off too much speed, afterburner helps and a dogfight will use a lot of fuel. You can use high alpha to get a kill but be aware it will bleed off a lot of speed and with full burner it will take time to recover the energy you lose and if you find yourself low and slow you will be an easy target. The Su-27 seems a bit weird I think, the Mig-29 seems to fly a lot nicer and smoother.
  5. True it's probably better as a Flaming Cliffs type plane, but FC3 is part of DCS. I wouldn't mind something like Flaming Cliffs 4 with some more modern planes, F-35 is a bit out there for now just an idea, but Super Hornet, Typhoon, Rafale, Su-35 would be great to have in the game. And would add a new dimension IMO. I like the A-10C type sim but I also like a more relaxed fun type sim, but still with good flight models and realistic weapons. My 2c.
  6. There is enough info for the Su-35. It's an upgraded Su-27 Flanker. http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-Su-35S-Flanker.html
  7. There is a huge amount of info on the F-35 if you know where to look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbnWg4v6iHk This is supposed to be a wishlist. I'd like the F/A-18E Super Hornet, F-22 Raptor and F-35A Lightning. And an X-wing.
  8. Good point and you're never going to get a super accurate sim of a jet fighter which is currently in service, they are always going to be approximations. Only the real pilots and engineers/designers know how the planes actually perform in real life. So F/A-18E or F-35 just make a good sim to play I say. They both have highly classified systems and it's never going to be 100% accurate.
  9. F-35 Lightning II for DCS could be something new which would spark more interest in the series, no one has done this aircraft before, unlike the F-15E, F-16, F/A-18, F-22 which have all been done before.
  10. Why the same old planes as Lock On, Flaming Cliffs 1 and Flaming Cliffs 2? Why not some newer more modern planes like Eurofighter Typhoon and Sukhoi Su-35? Something with digital fly-by-wire and multi-role capability people want to fly and are interested in? Would increase interest in the series and bring it into the 21st century. Might even appeal to a wider audience.
  11. Please. Some modern jets to fly. Something from the 21st century maybe? It's 2015 not 1983. Sukhoi Su-35 please.
  12. Would like to see some more modern aircraft to fly, with full digital fly by wire. Eurofighter Typhoon please. Enough of the crusty old Su-27 Flanker B base model from 1985! And agricultural Mig-29A, they are obsolete, old and boring.
