  1. I have started the Ka-50 up and all that and I've switched the k-041 switch on. But for some reason the monitor on the Skval doesn't come on. How on earth do you get this monitor to come on? I'm using 1.5 open Beta. Thanks!
  2. I have a question. Does anyone know a way to turn off the DCS that shows up on the computer monitor while you are in the Rift? Surely this can't help fsp with this running at the same time at the Rift screen. In demos you normally get the option to turn it off if you have performance issues, so anyone know how to turn this one off?
  3. I gave it a go but I'm not sure it works in DCS. I say this because I set it on the highest setting and it had no impact on my FPS at all. Normally the highest resolution settings would have some impact on my fps, but it had no impact at all. This leads me to believe it isn't working in DSC, but if I'm wrong someone feel free to correct me, I'd certainly like to know if it is working.
  4. Does anybody know which exe allows DCS to work with Nvidia control panel in 1.5? Thanks!
  5. Okay, I fixed it. Seems DCS doesn't like my Logitech gaming pad plugged in or my Microsoft sidewinder force feed back stick. I did delete these out of the setting in DCS, but for some reason they must still be interfering with DCS. Anyways it's fixed BIGNEWY. Thanks for the quick response though and this might help someone else. Had me scratching my head for a while, but when all else fails start to pull out your Usb devices :)
  6. Here is the track is anyone else getting this is it a bug? Trim.trk
  7. I am using the Hotas Warthog stick and throttle, but for some reason I cannot get the trim to work with the gray hat switch at the top of the Warthog joystick. I have assigned it in the A10C sim settings and it moves in-game when I move it on the stick, but for some reason the A10C doesn't respond to the input at all. I have tried doing a repair to 1.5 beta, but it's still the same. Does anyone know how to fix this or is it a bug?
  8. @ will - Some of digits in the HUD are still unreadable. Well they are for me and there's nothing wrong with my sight.
  9. @ Smokey Now I know what zoom you mean you mean the zoom with the keys. I thought you meant the one with Trackir. I think that other guy might have a point regarding sickness, but if it's the only way you are going to see what's on your HUD then I wouldn't be opposed to it. I just use the bigger HUD mod and uninstall it when there;s an update. This allows me to make out the reading on the HUD, but it's still not great. @ JaySmizzle - lets hope they can improve it some more. The only thing I want improving most right now thought is the damn crashes on mission loading screen. This is the most frustrating thing I'm finding and I just hope there's a fix coming for it soon. I've lost count of the number of times I've had to re-boot my Pc just to get a game in the Rift.
  10. I'm looking to buy a new comp soon and I'm just wonder if I will have to redo all my settings for DCS again? Could I not just use my DCS profiles from the old comp and import them to the new computer? I'm thinking no because of it been a new computer and using a different Usb port, but I'm not sure. I'm also stuck with something else if anyone can help. Do you have to save each modules settings one at a time, or can you just save them all in one go? Thanks!
  11. I have Flyinside FSX and version 0.7 isn't stutter free like you are saying. In-fact, it stutters more for me in FSX then it does in DCS 1.5 once I go below 65 FPS. That CPU you have isn't that great running at 3.5 Ghz. I know that's hard to imagine, but when I lose my overclock of 4.1 Ghz on my i7 930, boy do I see a difference with judder. Dropping down to 2.8 Ghz and lossing my overclock gives me terrible judder, so it could well be that i3 3.5Ghz causing it.
  12. What are your specs? The setting I have given are the best for fps especially with ai added to the mix. I spent a couple of hours testing all these settings, but most people will tell you what I have listed are the fps killers.
  13. That MSAA is a killer at 4x I'd set this to 2. The Civ traffic is another killer and needs to be turned off, as does Depth of field and and Lens effect. Turn them off and also disable Aero. The rest of the setting are okay. These settings are for ai included. Why have you un-ticked Full screen?
  14. Yeah, Specs would be good. Also, do you just want it set for free flight or with ai? I ask this because Obviously ai will reduce your fps by quite a bit.
  15. I have Vsync enabled in the setting and for some reason I'm getting tearing in the cockpit when I look around with Trackir? Anyone know why this could be happening? Thanks! Geforce 970 i7 930 Overclocked 4.9Ghz 16 Ram window7 64bit
  16. Are you saying 0.7 works with Elite Dangerous? Because as far as I know it doesn't. Lets hope they are committed to supporting Rift still because I won't be buying Horizons until they implement 0.7 or the latest runtime. I'm getting fed up of buying game that claim to support Oculus and then as soon as a new Runtime arrives they abandon it until next year and CV1.
  17. You need to turn Visb Range to low and turn shadows off. There the two settings that make a big difference in the Rift. With Visability range set to low you don't miss much in the rift because of the res it's got. What Cpu do you have? I suspect it's a good one with that 980Ti.
  18. Any news on a fix for the crash on loading screen? Or has anyone found a way to stop the crashes? I've got in a couple of times to night after a fair few crashes. Someone mentioned disconnecting your internet, but I'm not sure if it's just wishfull thinking to solve the problem. I did try disconnexcting my internet, but wether or not it's made a difference is hard to tell. I still get crashes, but who knows if it's just a fluke that you get less with your connection disconnected. So is there any news on this issue?
  19. Tried it and it's about 3 out of ten times for me I get it to work, I always crash when I exit though. I hope they make this fix a priority because I only use the Rift with DCS and it's just frustrating I can't use it. I can't even go back to using 1.2 DCS because 0.7 won't work with that. I expected 1.5 to have bugs, but I ddin't think it would be this hit and miss just connecting with the Rift. I'm just hoping there's a patch soon and I can start playing this game again. I find it much better learning the systems sat in the Rift and playing.
  20. That's not a special driver. I have the latest Nvidia driver and that's all you need. Nvifia are including all VR stuff in their drivers there are no hidden drivers for VR. I saw something about an SDK driver, but you only use the SDK if you are developing software. You don't need SDK installed just run games.
  21. This is a known problem for alot of people. If you looked just a few threads down you would have seen this. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=147767
  22. I can so it must be a fault at your end. I want to fly the ka-50, but havn't got that working once. Has anyone else got the Ka-50 working at all?
  23. Sith has already expained you need to send a log not just talk about the problem. It won't get fixed just talking about it, so please send your logs. I also crash on the loading mission screen and the very few times I do get into a mission, I crash when I exit it. DK2 Crashes.zip
  24. That's because VR uses two screens and you need more processing power for two screens. Seems I can play on low settings also, but it randomly crashes on the mission loading screen. Once it has crashed on the loading screen, I then have to switch the rift off and back on before launching the game again for it to work. If I don't do this it just keeps on crashing. I hope they fix the rift soon because it looks great and is what I want to play with. BTW - I crash everytime I try to use any high setting.
