  1. I don't really know how I would represent it other than an extra two radios with fixed channels ? Any suggestions welcome. Currently only I think the a10c would be the only aircraft for it as well as it has proper in cockpit controls Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  2. Yes I know, you said. However, VAICOM author is your best bet, as it's built for DCS, and he's working on changes for SRS So if want a better Integration, that's the way to go. No need to shout... Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  3. Try upping speaker boost, if not you'll have to do it using the OBS boost In contact with Hollywood and shown him this thread so there will likely be changes for the VAICOM plugin so hopefully that'll help you soon as you have that as well Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  4. Right understood! Although SRS is free and opensource and built specifically for DCS - Voiceattack is not and as such im unlikely to be able to build an integration into it - but I will have a look into it and contact the author to see whats possible. Much more likely is that Hollywood - Author of VAICOM, will make changes as he's built that specifically for DCS and already has a level of integration with SRS For the minute I'd recommend keeping two PTT buttons, one for VoiceAttack and one for SRS The most likely scenario id guess is: - Trigger PTT - Say a command like Transmission - Voiceattack stops muting SRS and stops listening, allowing SRS to transmit - PTT released and system waits for PTT again. Sorry I dont use VAICOM or VoiceAttack so coming in a little blind
  5. One for Hollywood (VAICOM) rather than myself (i think?) Currently SRS has an integration with VAICOM where VAICOM can inhibit the transmission of an SRS transmission when VAICOM is dealing with it. Enable Allow VAICOM TX Inhibit for this feature to work. There isnt anything for the other way around - i.e SRS PTT is pressed so VAICOM shouldnt listen but could be done but would need work from Hollywoods side
  6. That is 100% a false positive.... As its the file from Microsoft (and signed) https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads Specifically- https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe Compare the hash to see :)
  7. GitHub has a built in wiki but it's very easy to use so no worries. Send me your GitHub username and you can edit then. Thanks! Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  8. For support please go to Discord, https://discord.gg/Ajzxqxj Follow #common-issues first post Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  9. Sure fair comment on documentation as a lot is in release notes so lost over time. I prefer a wiki to docs inline as people can contribute and there is a help section in SRS with some basic info. If you're up for it, I can add you as a contributor on the GitHub if you're up for editing the wiki? Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  10. When I wrote that function I had a long debate with myself about how it should work and that is possible, just not sure how to name the setting! Only allow radio switch ptt of radio exists? Bit long :) If you can think of a better name I'll look at adding it. Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  11. You completely ignored my reply that DCS is not just modern jets... It's helicopters, vintage props and jets which don't work like that so I won't be changing it. You are also the first person to complain about it since 2016 when SRS was released. So I think we're just going in circles. The buttons are labelled as what they actually do so the assumption should be, they do what they say the do and I'm sorry it took you a while to get it working as you like but it's working now :) Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  12. Replied on Reddit, counter is any helicopter and non Hotas aircraft doesn't have that. As I said, can bump the setting up but it's pretty clearly labelled as as the controls say radio switch, and there is a separate ptt, the assumption out of the box should be they do different things Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  13. It's done that for years but the recent change is if you haven't opened SRS, it'll do it for you Most servers that run SRS have it enabled Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  14. Uploaded a new version a few days ago. If you had trouble getting it to work, try the latest version Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  15. New RELEASE Version - 1.7.2.0 Discord: https://discord.gg/baw7g3t Please give feedback and use Discord for support SERVER OWNERS - You need to allow TCP AND UDP on port 5002 AutoConnect Script must be in Saved GamesDCSScriptsHooks now instead of just Scripts folder. Just create a hooks folder in Scripts folder if you don't have one This is the first release of SRS for the roaring 20's and adds a few new major features along with some bug fixes. The new Server Side option "Show Tuned / Client Count" if enabled adds a small number next to the radio showing the number of radios **tuned** to that frequency. It wont take into account any Line of Sight or Distance limitations and although someone may be tuned to it - if you're using encryption they wont necessarily hear you :) Global Chat / Lobby Frequency - If set provides a frequency you can tune into on either Red or Blue and still hear each other - even if Coalition Security is enabled. Spectators can also use this frequency if Spectator Audio is enabled and can be used for troubleshooting or inter-team comms. Fully backwards compatible with all previous servers and clients of the 1.7.X releases although the new Global Lobby Frequency and Show Tuned Clients options wont work until both the server and client are updated Changelog: Show Currently Tuned Clients on Native SRS and DCS SRS Overlay - Controlled Server Side Added global chat / lobby frequency - ignores LOS, Distance and coalition settings - Controlled server side Added back -cfg= command line option - sets a **directory** to use for config files - will look for global.cfg in that directory and create it if it doesnt exist. Fixed for Radio TX Start playing regardless of setting Fixed AutoConnect LUA -freq command not showing the correct info - you will need to manually update this file! Possible fix for the Auto Updater / Installer not working due to differing .NET versions Download Here: https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone/releases/latest To update - just download the SRS-AutoUpdater and run to do a one click install and / or UPDATE OR Download the SRS Release - extract the whole zip, run the installer DCS / VR Overlay and Overlay Configuration The overlay has 3 states, hidden, small & full that you can see by pressing Left Control + Left Shift + Escape by default. Default overlay state can be configured in the SRS Settings inside DCS itself Preset Channel Configuration Preset channels can be created for all FC3 aircraft and all expansion radios for Non FC3. Channel presets are created per Radio - full list of names & frequencies here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tzd996zJ1t0heZ-t1PpL7vNUIZbXl7pI6De0GThN1Qw/edit#gid=1869108790 ) Preset files are named after the radio (no special characters needed & case is ignored) and are text files with a single frequency on each line. For example, to create a fixed channel list for the first UHF radio in the F15C: Create a file called ANARC-164 UHF1.txt or anarc164 UHF1.txt where you installed SimpleRadio Standalone (where the client exe is), add frequencies and save. The file will be automatically loaded when that radio appears on an aircraft. The frequency list can also be manually reloaded with the reload button. The files are per radio not per aircraft. As always, thanks for the support and let me know if there are any issues! Dedicated support now available on Discord: https://discord.gg/baw7g3t Please go to Discord for support Download Here: https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone/releases/latest Video Demo & Installation
  16. Bug but fixed in 1.7.2.0
  17. Absolutely not, it's a one click install and 4 buttons to bind :) Not sure it could be any simpler Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  18. For naming - case and special characters are ignored and it matches from the start For example a10 and a10c would work for A10C Mig29 would work for all mig29 variants Mig29a would only work for mig29a Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  19. Not a silly question at all SRS has two ways of triggering the PTT, using SRS hotkeys and using DCS hotkeys. DCS hotkeys only work on a few modules, as they have to be built on a certain way for SRS to be able to hook into it. If you want per aircraft controls, use the SRS profiles, and enable auto select profile. Name the profile after the aircraft - e.g a10c and that profile will be used or default profile if none matches Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  20. Don't use the mic passthrough option Hollywood and I can confirm that there is no conflict between SRS and VAICOM - all is working fine for us in testing. Best thing as always is to delete the scripts folder in saved games/ dcs For support please please please go to Discord for support! https://discord.gg/vqxAw7H Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  21. Author of SRS here.... I've tested both SRS and VIACOM together with no issues so unable to reproduce. The introduction of the SRS module would make no difference either as it's separate to the export method used by VIACOM Only got trial versions of both is the only thing Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  22. Right understand now - so its just that alert box and any others should be by the app - not in the middle of then screen? Should be fixed in 1.7.1.4 I dont own either but just installed and gave it a go - seems to work fine with 1.7.1.4? Support here though please :) https://discord.gg/vqxAw7H
  23. FC3 doesn't have modelled radios so it doesn't matter what frequency you set in SRS as they're modelled outside the sim by SRS. Tower should always work in FC3 as there is no radio to retune. Any other non FC3 does have modelled radios so the frequency in SRS is the same as DCS Can you send me a screenshot / more details? SRS can be set to force focus to DCS (check settings) and will open at its last used position. If you move it it'll stay there. That is the care for the client window, SRS overlay and DCS overlay Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  24. For support, as I say again and again - please go to Discord for support :) For support please go to Discord: https://discord.gg/vqxAw7H You will get a faster response [emoji106] Sent from my HD1903 using Tapatalk
  25. For support please go to Discord: https://discord.gg/vqxAw7H You will get a feaster response  Please post clientlog.txt on Discord: https://discord.gg/vqxAw7H Yes there is - Under help in SRS there is a link too: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tzd996zJ1t0heZ-t1PpL7vNUIZbXl7pI6De0GThN1Qw/edit#gid=1869108790 Use the transparency slider at the bottom of the overlay Make sure allow more inputs is turned off Find the device ID in the SRS logs and add to a file called whitelist.txt You downloaded the source and not the installer Use this: https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone/releases/download/1.7.0.3/SRS-AutoUpdater.exe to do a one click install The channels file only works for simulated rather than real radios in the aircraft (all FC3) - for the F18 set them in the mission editor The FA18 doesnt support DCS hotkeys for SRS - bind them in SRS. Also enable always allow SRS hotkeys to have them always work regardless of module Same as above For support please go to Discord: https://discord.gg/vqxAw7H You will get a feaster response
