Just need others to test beta and confirm it's fixed before I'll be happy :) Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

As a quick test - this was how it sounded last night This is with all radio effects on (including clipping) and most of the transmissions are coming through the left channel - with a guy piping up on the right for a second or so I haven't done a side by side comparison yet but at least to me its pretty damn good!

New BETA Version - 1.5.3.7 Please give this BETA a try - its fully compatible with the previous version of SRS - but the Audio Mixing has been vastly improved. Two simultaneous radio transmissions should be perfectly distinguishable with or without radio effects but looking for feedback before I release that its fully there. Please give feedback on Discord Discord: https://discord.gg/baw7g3t Changelog Fix for crashing when window x/y position is a float Fix for radio distortion / mixing issue Dedicated support now available on Discord: https://discord.gg/baw7g3t DOWNLOAD THE BETA RELEASE: https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone/releases/tag/1.5.3.7 DOWNLOAD THE LATEST RELEASE: https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone/releases/latest Video Demo & Installation

I've got some great samples from sniperbob (thanks!) for the active hiss - https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone/issues/236 Interested on your feedback on them as I will be integrating them at some point

Sorry no PM? SRS Discord is the best place to get me No if your AI awacs is on 251 and you're using that for Comms then people will hear your awacs call. I'd put awacs on a different channel and switch to that - or use expansion radios in SRS Nothing going on as such. I've asked for samples before and not got very far so if you could that would be much appreciated! Please could you provide a recording on the SRS discord of two simultaneous transmission - one left channel, one right with radio effects entirely off. Generally the distortion is cause by the radio effect, you maybe find it better with that off Thanks for the help Discord here : https://discord.gg/Ajzxqxj Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

As I said above - I cannot replicate from your track or the exact steps in your video on a MP server. 104th and BlueFlag MP servers have Hornets and are not suffering from the issue. There must be more to it unfortunately that just a hornet and that rail. Can you replicate in SP on a simple mission? Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

Yes it's working :) Make sure you have the latest version. If you're unsure, use the installer to install again Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
Ciribob replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
Yup both sides limited to 28. Numbers of players was just crazy, pretty much solid on blue the entire time, to the point that blue spectators were knocking out Reds trying to join. We added a script to kick spectators but it wasn't quite in quick enough. Well done both sides for a fantastic fight, you both fought amazingly well. Hope you all enjoyed it. Congratulations to Blue on the win! Round 10 stats and TacView are all on Discord. Make sure to join. Discord: https://discord.gg/mckCvTc Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk -

No worries - G isn't on the list Currently just AGM-65H AGM-65E And the E is only there until the bug is fixed (to save you from it) :) -
There should be a tanker with a basket above the carrier as far as I remember. I'll see what I can do, but no promises and there is also no guarantee the tanker isn't shot down. It won't respawn until the restart every 3 hours. I wouldn't count on the carrier lasting long either, Red usually sink it and the support ships quite early on unless you can provide a good defence for it Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

Official Blue Flag Round 10 on Caucasus We're ready to launch the official Blue Flag round this Friday 17th August at around 20:00 UTC. The round will last until Sunday 26th August - or until the map is fully conquered - which ever comes first. The winner is the team holding the most objectives at the end of the time period. Questions? Ask in #blueflag on Discord All server state is saved, even through crashes, as well as unpacked units providing a dynamic online battle. Any OPEN BETA updates during the round period will be applied to the server as soon as possible - unless a module is disabled or broken TacView will be disabled on the server For now - the current Caucasus server will stay up but not reset. To start your planning early - join the server and type either "red" or "blue" to set your selection for Friday. This will give you access to your teams HQ on Discord for Planning. There will be NO side switches - once you've picked - it's final until the end of the round so think carefully before typing! Full SOP here: https://tinyurl.com/bf-sop-v2 - thanks to MorpheusXAUT and Dedde and many others Please Note: When the server is restarting - DO NOT JOIN IT - wait until you see 30 seconds on the mission timer before trying to join. That server was moved. The test server is 5.189.162.17 (note no port) And the BF Caucasus server is at a different address. See http://gadget.buddyspike.net If you're flying on BF it'll autoconnect anyway :) Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

There is always a chance a program causes a problem, however this is current SRS usage - around 16K unique users in the last 28 days - so fine for them If you need help - get me on Discord https://discord.gg/ya6hyue Try it - and see how you get on is all I can say :) Left Control + Left Shift + Escape by default. See https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone/releases/latest

Dont worry too much about the preview - the auto gain is trying its hardest to get the volume to a certain level - so if you're not speaking it'll boost background noise etc - then filter that out when you talk or another louder sound is heard. When you press the PTT it'll come out fine while talking and then slowly gain up the rest of the picked up audio if you don't say anything.

I've seen VR users using SRS without issue as well as a large number of non VR including myself so this sounds pretty odd. Would you mind jumping on discord and giving all the information listed in the support pinned message? https://discord.gg/Ajzxqxj SRS only uses the export and gamegui interface so has no way of interfering with multiplayer at all so sounds like it's something else conflicting. When you connected to multiplayer was SRS client running? If you have an older pc, like me, I have to quit every program, Dropbox, chrome, SRS etc to get into multiplayer. Double check that you installed SRS with the installer and you are launching the client from the installation directory (Program files /SRS for example, not the extracted zip. The sound files are added by the installer into the correct location so this points to an installation error. The spitfire has a real radio onboard so those are set in the mission editor settings for each aircraft There are expansion radios available and can be enabled serverside that can have channel files created for them, the file needs to be named after the radio. You don't have the right output device selected. Use preview audio and try a few different ones until you get the right one :) Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

New RELEASE Version - 1.5.3.5 .NET Version - PLEASE INSTALL THIS or it may not work: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=53345 Windows 8/10 N Users - PLEASE INSTALL THIS OR IT WILL NOT WORK - Adds the media codecs you need which are removed in the N Version - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3145500/media-feature-pack-list-for-windows-n-editions - You'll know when you get the audio initialisation error :) NOT BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE with 1.5.2.0 - Servers and clients must be on 1.5.3.1 or newer SERVER OWNERS - You need to open an extra TCP port for SRS to work and its +1 above your normal server port. I.e if you run a server on 5002 you need to open port 5002 and 5003 for TCP AutoConnect Script must be in Saved GamesDCSScriptsHooks now instead of just Scripts folder. Just create a hooks folder in Scripts folder if you dont have one KNOWN BUG If you get lag while using the radio, press L Ctrl + L Shift + L to fix. This is a DCS bug i'm trying to work around and is triggered by pressing L Ctrl + L. It doesn't matter if that key is bound or not, it'll still cause lag when you press it Changelog Added connection status indicators - Now tracks game export and game gui broadcasts to signal fully working DCS connection as well as VOIP and Server TCP connection status EAM name should no longer be overwritten Fixed for concurrent access bug causing excessive logging Added Yak 52 support and expansion radios - Requires always allow SRS hotkeys to be on to be used for expansion radios Added expansion radios to L39 - Requires always allow SRS hotkeys to be on to be used Added basic log rotate Improved Installer Saved Games checker logic to make sure saved games folder is used DCS / VR Overlay and Overlay Configuration The overlay has 3 states, hidden, small & full that you can see by pressing Left Control + Left Shift + Escape by default. The Full state has a title bar that you can click and drag the window around with. The window position will be saved for when DCS is next opened. The radio status is removed after 5 seconds if SRS is closed or loses server connection To configure the overlay hotkey, run DCS once to create a config file in Saved GamesDCSConfig which will look something like so and quit DCS: config = { ["mode"] = "minimum", ["hotkey"] = "Ctrl+Shift+escape", ["windowPosition"] = { ["y"] = 342, ["x"] = 981, }, -- end of ["windowPosition"] } -- end of config Edit the "Hotkey" section and add the characters from the keyboard you'd like to use instead. i.e config = { ["mode"] = "minimum", ["hotkey"] = "Ctrl+Shift+1", -- now uses the combination of ctrl shift and 1 together to toggle ["windowPosition"] = { ["y"] = 342, ["x"] = 981, }, -- end of ["windowPosition"] } -- end of config Dont forget to restart DCS after editing this file or you wont see the changes. If you want to remove the overlay entirely and never use it, just delete: DCS-SRS-Overlay.dlg DCS-SRS-OverlayGameGUI.lua In Saved GamesDCSScripts Preset Channel Configuration Preset channels can be created for all FC3 aircraft and all expansion radios for Non FC3. Channel presets are created per Radio - full list of names & frequencies here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tzd996zJ1t0heZ-t1PpL7vNUIZbXl7pI6De0GThN1Qw/edit#gid=1869108790 ) Preset files are named after the radio (no special characters needed & case is ignored) and are text files with a single frequency on each line. For example, to create a fixed channel list for the first UHF radio in the F15C: Create a file called ANARC-164 UHF1.txt or anarc164 UHF1.txt where you installed SimpleRadio Standalone (where the client exe is), add frequencies and save. The file will be automatically loaded when that radio appears on an aircraft. The frequency list can also be manually reloaded with the reload button. The files are per radio not per aircraft. As always, thanks for the support and let me know if there are any issues! Is ikarus actually working? Likelihood is that it's erroring so SRS fails to load. SRS tries to be a good citizen, as long as others write their export.lua in a way to not conflict it should work fine. For example, SRS works with TacView without issue Feel free to get me on the discord and upload your dcs.logs and the ikarus export and I'll see what the error is Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

SRS just reads inputs - it doesn't simulate them so it sounds like something else causing that. Try unbinding whatever control you have for the map and see if it still triggers or try unbinding all SRS controls and seeing what happens If no controls are bound in SRS and it still occurs, it's not SRS SRS update should never clear the server list - it's in a CSV which as long as you don't delete will always stay across updates. The last update 1.5.3.3 was a bad one and may have broken controls, but 1.5.3.4 which was released an hour after put it back. Generally updates are stable so this is pretty rare :) Are you sure you haven't accidentally deleted your .cfg file and CSV file or loaded SRS from a different location than normal? If you did that it wouldn't find the cfg and CSV. For more support, please go to the discord We've got 3 running for weeks now on BlueFlag so this sounds odd. Are you sure you aren't launching a second instance and so the ports are conflicting? Either way please go to discord for support and upload logs there Discord https://discord.gg/Ajzxqxj Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

1. Make a frequency plan for your server like so https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_d3PJ4hYusV2KV-zVFD-rLVgD30Y0QCemyhbOy_VTV4/edit?usp=drivesdk Set presets for aircraft that have them using the mission editor 2. EAM is external awacs mode, it's only used when DCS isnt running and so the passwords are used to set the coalition as that information is usually sent by DCS. Secure coalition on will mean that red can only hear red and blue can hear blue but they can't hear each other. It's not linked to EAM and can be on or off. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

Found another bug - apologies! Not a good release... 1.5.3.4 will be out shortly! Edit: released. Enjoy! :)
