  1. Thanks for the explanation Tekkx, I think I understand it better now. The panel works pretty well, with the exception of the small momentary push buttons at the top. I’m guessing because they aren’t hardware or software denounced they can be a bit tricky to use as they sometimes send the toggle command multiple times. The red buttons don’t seem to have this issue. So I won’t use the little buttons again!
  2. @Holycat, please make a new thread with 'DCS BIOS' in the title as this thread is for updates only. Then we can try and help you :)
  3. I've already made a generic panel I use for the other modules available in DCS BIOS. It has features like warning lights, fire extinguishers, drop tanks, landing and nav lights etc Currently working on another generic panel that will handle radio and nav. When I want to use a different module with a panel I just load the sketch I made for it. eg. mig-21 : https://www.dropbox.com/s/hdwptze66n9fs4w/Generic_MiG-21_001.ino?dl=0 But I digress. Once the Mi-8 is in DCS BIOS I will add it to those panels and perhaps even make a weapons control panel for the Mi-8.
  4. Excellent, it'll be fantastic to have the Mi-8 available in DCS BIOS. Although you would need lots of room to build a full cockpit! PS apologies for the spelling of you name, I blame my dyslexia!
  5. Following this with interest, will you be able to merg your Mi-8 updates so we can all enjoy them? Keep up the good work Ian and Artur!
  6. Just an OP update; been using Dropbox to store my control profiles for some time now with no problems.
  7. Thanks for all the info everyone
  8. I managed to get this code to work for my first DCS BIOS test: Note the commented out Master Caution LED for A-10C; as this has the same variable name as the MiG-21 LED it won't compile. If the DCS BIOS code is changed to make each one unique it should work fine. Thanks again to Ian for making DCS BIOS! :)
  9. Does BIOS noob here again: Is it possible to use the same hardware for multiple aircraft? As I'm looking at making a generic panel to be used with multiple aircraft. Could I for example use the same LED like this and then it will work depending on which aircraft I am flying:
  10. Thanks all, parts are on order
  11. A DCS BIOS noob here. Has anyone used automotive gauges with DCS BIOS? As they are very cheap from China and would seem to make building a sim pit quicker and cheaper. So has anyone done this before, if so, how did you do it?
  12. I've tried turning it all the way to the left and right, as far as I could go without putting in too much pressure ( I was worried about it breaking ). So once you have done lots of turns do you notice a significant difference? As I can't really notice a difference between fully tight and fully loose.
  13. I've got a new Thrustmaster warthog but I've found that he throttle friction adjustment seems to do nothing. Is this normal for a Thrustmaster warthog?
  14. @hansangb, yes you're right I was intending to have Dropbox as the main config repository. So when ever I do a config load or save it would be directly from the Dropbox folder. The Dropbox folder is on an SSD so load times shouldn't be a problem ... hopefully.
  15. Thanks, so in theory there shouldn't be any problems doing it with Dropbox?
  16. Thanks JaZon. So if you have an in flight engine fire all you can do for now is just shutdown that engine and hope for the best?
  17. Did you ever find out the answers to your questions?
  18. I'm running DCS v1.5 and v2 and I'm finding keeping my control profiles in syn across the two version is a pain. Could I just move all my control profiles to a folder in Dropbox and just load and save them as necessary from there. That way I only have to maintain one set of profiles and also they are backed up automatically by Dropbox. Does that sound like a good idea or am I going to have a bad time?
  19. I tried it again last tonight and it worked fine. Not sure what was going on before? Thanks for your help all:thumbup:
