  1. I’ve flown the mission twice now - managed to land safely in the storm, with fumes in the gas tank, both times, but yes spotting the bombers before they attack is challenging! Never give up though, I’ll try for a third time this afternoon :)
  2. Thank you for the continued support, enjoying this campaign!
  3. Howdo all, I'm just reading through this excellent book and if anyone hasn't encountered before it's a great read with a lot of really interesting and useful content for the aspiring Harrier pilot. John, who died last year, was intimately involved with Harrier development from the beginning to just about the end, and the book not only describes his history with the plane, but also such useful tips as a training syllabus for wannabe Harrier pilots. I haven't got to the second part of the book yet, but it looks to be very useful on the principles of flight and flying in general. 4. You're completely right - my post was not clear.
  5. And don't forget to set the anti-skid to off ... NWS and antoskid are mutually exclusive on the AV8B.
  6. I flew that last night. I thought "Jeez, it's dark for 7.00am at this latitude", and "where is is red smoke". I did find it eventually, but my landing was a tad agricultural and some important bits of helicopter snapped off. Try again this evening.
  7. Take your time Chuck - good luck on the exams.
