We don't know that at the moment. ED makes such decisions.

Precisely: "DCS 1.5.6.3690 Update 1 To Open Beta at first." which means, open Beta is updated with this patch. If all goes OK after some time, the patch will be distributed to Public DCS. It might contain further fixes.

Please disable the MiG module in Alpha and Public to avoid SF spamming you when you use those DCS versions. Both mentioned version will be patched, and MiG will become available for those. We have to wait for the patch release. You wont need any further activations provided nothing changes on your current setup.

All SAU mods are at pilot's disposal: use them as you see fit, within their limitations. There are some recommendations stated in the Flight manual ("turn stabilization on"), but they tend to be too restrictive and no one actually follows them literary, except for the takeoff maybe (stabilization on). Anyway, stabilization can be used whole flight, regardless of nature of fight, as long as the SAU is operating normally (which might depend on other systems; concern engine failure for example).

In short, "stabilization" increases stability for pitch and bank by filtering pilots stick inputs through SAU (thus partially controlling input - through increased stick forces - and output). It will also help maintaining either the course, bank or pitch, depending on few things... The topic is quite broad for the thread. Pilot sense this SAU mode as more-or-less decreased aircraft agility, and most pilots don't use it in order to get maximum response and control over the aircraft. However, it's useful in precision flying to make aircraft more stable, help maintaining certain attitude, and to damper osculations that can occur for any reason. This is the shortest I could make it at the moment.

Correct provided you did not manually edit update configuration. Steam is Public version (by default).

Correct provided "old version" refers to Public and Alpha at the moment. Just go to Public and Alpha and disable the MiG in Module manager->Installed-> uncheck MiG-21, to avoid being spammed with SF dialog.

You have to deactivate StarForce if you want to preserve one activation. After this I would recommend registry cleaning to prepare the environment for later patching. After this, you don't really need to uninstall the module. Instead, go to DCS->Options->Module manager->uncheck MiG-21 (deactivate the module within DCS) so it will be ignored when you use DCS. You have to do this for both DCS versions you have. This is what I recommend, you have few more options.

I wish we know when the Public will be updated: I would be able to give you precise answer. You can activate it and use it. However, follow us on Facebook, Twitter or this forum to stay alert of the Public patch (or Alpha patch if you use Alpha), since you will have to deactivate before you patch.

No, no worries. Error report does not contain the key in any form. Even we don't know it, only the user knows it.

That is not a bad idea: it will spare you from being spammed with SF dialog at Public. Once the Public is patched, just install MiG - it should work right away.

We are aware of this feature; we submitted help request to ED since we alone can't improve it. However, this is just a visual effect, does not have any effects on missile performances.

You can cancel any update for any DCS version on update offer. If you don't update, you will be able to use unpatched MiG in any DCS. If you don't deactivate and Open Beta updates, you won't be able to use MiG in any DCS you might have. In that case the easiest approach is to clean the registry (as described in the instructions document, starting from page 8 ). You will be able to use MiG in Open Beta only, until other versions are patched.

Please download the manual from the first post in this thread. Please go to page 8 of mentioned manual and delete registry entries. Restart and activate your MiG. Note that if you have other DCS version along with your Beta, MiG will not work in those until they are patched too (please wait for the patch, don't attempt to activate/deactivate there, just leave it as it is).
