  1. It is unfortunate about the balance during the night. On the other hand, the massive number advantage throughout the day was the reason why REDFOR pushed so far. It's a shame though, I was looking forward to operating my helicopter in another area for once.
  2. I don't think transport helicopter pilots should be limited in lives, it's already a thankless tiring job, only to be punished when you get shot down by things you cannot possibly see or avoid. That would be terrible.
  3. I think mineral Vody has some of the slot names swapped around, the privately marked slots are for open use.
  4. The 1st Cav is focussed on helicopter operations with the Huey being pivotal: http://1stcavdiv.conceptbb.com/
  5. Maybe it's a good idea to disable capturing when one side has no pilots online? This stop's such events from happening. Offcourse abuse of such a system whereby a whole side disconnects is plausible. Perhaps not the best of solutions.
  6. Hey now, atleast in REDFOR we are all becoming good personal friends this way ;).
  7. No idea what was happening Maverick, it looked like a few things came together at the right time! Unfortunately it looks like the player balance has swung to RED. Fortunately it looks like the fight isn't over, I am up for another week of this!!!!
  8. No, to go the "Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin" folder, hold shift and "open a command prompt from here" Then type in DCS_updater.exe update 1.5.2.49392@openbeta The Updater should launch and download a previous version. Make sure not to click update to 1.5.3 next time! :smilewink:
  9. -=*FlankerNation*=- That's the exact name of the bastard using the R-33 missile. I have taken it upon myself to TK the bastard when the chance arrises.
  10. I am not sure how he can use the R-33, what aircraft is he flying?
  11. Also, we coordinate quite a bit on Teamspeak throughout the day. I would really recommend to visit that in the evenings, we usually have 2 people doing GCI to control 2 sectors. What I do is first enter the Forward Observer slot and use the campaign map to get an idea on the situation, from there on out I decide on what to do.
  12. That was a blast yesterday NaCH!
  13. I scrambled fighters to get you a few times Fulcrum! Fun times were had at Sochi!
  14. Well, redfor was at a disadvantage for the first 2 days in a 2:1 move, yesterday that flipped for a change. If you reduce helicopter pilots to a limited amount of lives as well then expect to be completely out of fuel on the first day on most frontline airfields. Besides, quite often we spawn into eachother at a few of the FARP's, so yeah. Fun fun fun.
  15. I have been planning this, the biggest problem is that helicopters have waaaay too much flight time. Honestly, if there is one change that could happend then it should be that helicopters can spawn at any airfield in sufficient quantities. It's a bit silly that the south coast has no helicopter spawns except in PAK1 for REDFOR. Not sure how blufor is limited in this, I think you guys can spawn at guadata(not sure though). Anyway, that might be the helo pilot inside of me talking.
  16. The way I've understood is that the fuel system the helicopters transport is for spawning and is a system that functions outside of the standard re-fuel system at a airbase.
  17. Concerning choppers, from what I have gathered we bring 500 fuel to a airport, which amounts to 10 spawns(as far as huey fuel usage is concernend). For most bases 500 fuel is often a 30 to 45 minute flight in the huey. I am not sure how much fighter aircraft take but it is nigh on impossible to keep the bases supplied. Doing a fuel run, due to the long flighttime is also extremely boring, is there anyway to shorten the fuel run's, or atleast make it feel like it has any form of significance? I think the way helicopters operate and the tasks they do warrant a look after the campaign is over. So far I've found it very enjoyable since it feels like I am contributing to the overall fight in my huey.
  18. The lives aren't based on your connection time, it's useage over a time period. Anyway, lives have been reset Roccoo so you should be able to join again.
  19. For the server administration: The server has crashed 4 times on the exact moment I executed a action with the crate system(drop fuel, 3x crash. Request AA repair crate, 1x crash). I also know the server is crashing because as soon as I attempt to do a second action in the radio menu the menu becomes inoperative. The simulation still runs on. It might just be a coincidence, or it might be related. I have no idea.
  20. Ah that's unfortunate Xcom. Hopefully it will be reconsidered for the next event!
  21. Yes the lack of balance in playernumbers is a bit worrying, is there any way to force a teamsize limit?
  22. I think the server crashed after round restart. I cannot connect to it anymore nor is it visible in the server browser.
  23. Lonewolf Callsign: (B/229)The Almighty Snark Prefered Aircraft: UH-1H and KA-50 No prefered side
  24. As it may be, people will most likely think you are confusing it with this aircraft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myasishchev_M-4 Which has the NATO code name "Bison", compared to the Mig-21's codename being "Fishbed". Anyway, minor detail that is nice to know I suppose. Good luck with learning this wonderful craft!
  25. Well done LN, that is some wonderful artwork!
